  • You know. I tried using a disk buffer on my ultimate mortal kombat 3 disk for my sega saturn and now it says that there isn't a disk in the sega when i start it up with mortal kombat in there. DID I RUIN MY GAME?!? :(

  • aahhhh the Sega start up screen and music brings back the old memories. well now i know about the disk swap I'm gonna be making my own games... well backups of my own bought copy's ;) I've had a Sega Saturn for years in my attic time to recover that beast and blow the dust off cos I'm gonna be doing some serious gaming, goodbye PS3 and me old trusty xbox elite ill never need you again....

  • "It authenticated it... because it read that outer rim, guess it doesn't go back and check."

lol you a funny dude man.

Also so many complaints about loading...you must be into cartridge based systems because you know what? They don't load, for the most part anyways. Neo-Geo, Sega Megadrive, Super Famicom, Turbo Grafix 16, NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, etc.

(Sorry about the errors made during the previous comment, I was distracted.)

  • Yeah! No wonder why Nintendo systems always load so fast. Even though Super Smash Bros. Melee on the gamecube loads way to quick like 3 seconds. Even it saves data when you exit matches. Eat your heart out Sonic. Sonic the Hedgehog on the PS3 and Xbox 360 have way slow load times. Ever played Sonic on the PS3 before?

  • at least the Saturn was high-power... I feel bad that people never USED it... I mean, VGA on a console with 3D rendering?! sad thing: no one ever used it, and the SSat can't force games to display using VGA... kinda sad, huh?

  • The games Load for a long Time because The Disc Might be damaged or dirty. That might be the Problem or i would just go back to the place you got it from and tell them can i have a new one this one broke

  • I think this trick would work for the PSX aswell.

I figure that just because of the process on how you get the system to do this. Both the Playstation and the Saturn have that lid/button device so I think this trick would probably work on the Playstation possibly

  • Yeah, I am not much for waiting. Also, you left a comment on my page and I cannot comment or email you back. The answer is that I really do not know.

  • I found it slightly funny how the console still thinks it's 1994. I understand why it does that but I just found it funny.

  • In all computerized systems there is a small watch-like battery that lasts about 10 years, and it is there to keep the time, so if you can find it, simply replace it.

  • Nigga I have a Dreamcast, and it always forces me to set the time when I start it. Is that a battery problem?

  • Might be. Have you tried to replace the battery?

  • Nope.

  • @gunfeverforlife

    YES.

    Replace your battery.

But.. You have to dismantle your DC & unsolder the battery from its mount & buy a clip to hold the new battery in place

  • That's why I totally lost interest in video games when the new generation consoles came around. I can't stand loading.

  • ucf- If you think Saturn had bad load times, you should see the Neo Geo CD. The Neo Geo CD had long load times every time, you changed screen. And usually those load times were at least 30-45 seconds if not more, depending on what's loading.

  • GameCube and Wii have faster load times. They load for like 2-3 seconds and that's it.
