I'd forgotten all about it, until a random thought process triggered a faint memory. i looked on Wikipedia, found it's proper title (I'd forgotten about the "The Legends of.." bit) and came here to look for references. thanks for uploading them. I'll continue to watch through them bit by bit.
I know he's the villian but I think Long John Silver's my favourite character in this! It's animations like 0:58 that make me love this character cause he's so bouncy and cute! Love him. Just like Don Karnage who is also a fox pirate. Except he's Spanish.
Recently watching Treasure Planet, I couldn't help but notice similarities between it and The Legends of Treasure Island. Amelia was like Jane, Doctor Doppler looked like Dr. Livesey and had the stupidity of Squire Trelawney and Scroop was like Pew.
@KraalThal I agree but there is one thing i never liked about this series compared with treasure planet, and that was that Long John was supposed to be like a father to Jim, A scum sucking buccaneer but still acted like a father figure, teaching him and even helping Jim in the end, here it never really explored that, that's why i never felt this was a true treasure island piece, becasue you needed those Jim and Silver moments
