I wandered down that street 30 years ago myself, but didn't have the guts to get out my own guitar. I always say, I'm a music "fan" with his own guitar, and not a "real" musician......

I didn't even know this was a Woody tune. ha, I always heard the country gospel tune 'this world is not my home' must have been a derivative of this.

That's what gives Woody Guthrie songs their power--- he wrote his lyrics to the tunes that the people already knew, traditional folk songs and gospel songs-- you nailed the source for this one, and many years ago I used to combine the two songs to make that point.........
