Cloud is a great bboy and I think he could easily beat Lilou. However, Cloud did not take this particular battle because he plainly ran out of moves at the end. He was repeating several stuff from previous battles and that's not what the judges want to see. Lilou on the other hand introduced new, unique moves that he had not used previous matches. Sure he messed up, but 2 out of 5 judges voted cloud, showing that they did take lilou's mistakes into account.

Powermoves are part of breakdancing , yes. One of my favorite Bboys is a powerhead as well
But what I mean is that they aren"t foundations you know. You can't just throw only powermoves (unless they are on beat) and expect to win the judges.
Just look at Bboy Born , for example, he rarely does powermoves but he's one hell of a bboy

i personally think cloud was cleaner with his transistions and more creative than lilou...lilou almost crashed his gainer and then had a small crash when going to his headspins in his 3rd set...not to mention that cloud absolutely destroyed the beat (mostly in his first set...it was amazing)
The reason why Cloud didn't win is because he didn't utilize enough bboy foundation. His first set was strong, but the second and third one was lacking in terms of the potential he had to offer more. Cloud went hard in his previous battles, but not in this one.
If Cloud went harder with more floorwork and less charismatic moves the judges might have voted in favor of him. Especially in the third set. Lilou didn't appeal to the audience in his third set, so Cloud had the chance to overtake him.
The only memorable part of cloud's third set was him tipping over at 5:05. If cloud faced lilou early in the tournament, he probably would've won. But he ran out of moves. His style can only carry him as long as he has a couple high-level moves to get the crowd cheering. I don't see how he could have won this. I think the only reason he got 2 votes was cuz his first set was sick, and lilou's sets didn't have much originality (where was his sick toprock?).

@weej267 - I have to agree, his has amazing originality and even better dancer, but when you go up against someone as agressive as Lilou who has been to BC one plenty of times you got to step up (no pun intended) your bboying to more than just charisma. On another note I think it should have been Thesis and Cloud or Thesis and Lilou.
Cloud is great, but in this one he did a bit too much Jazz dance than actual Bboying. Thats why he problably lost. He showed all of hes moves to get to the final, and there he had nothing left to show. Still on of my favourite B-Boys. He has incredible ryhthm, passion and flow! :)
i dont get why a lot of people are complaining about cloud wandering around so much...he didnt do it the entire time...and that floor is huge! he was just using all the space provided! haha and also i think that he was cleaner and definitely more creative than lilou...lilou almost fell on his gainer and had a pause on his headspin on his last set...but a way sweet battle
@cambi18 Between the end of Cloud's 2nd set and the rest of his 3rd, it seemed like he ran out of steam. Which is a shame, cause he friggin' pwned everybody else he went up against. Even if it was rigged(the 2 vs. 3 vote to build up fanfare), it was a fair call. IMHO.

Cloud is great, but in this one he did a bit too much Jazz dance than actual Bboying. Thats why he problably lost. He showed all of hes moves to get to the final, and there he had nothing left to show. Still on of my favourite B-Boys. He has incredible ryhthm, passion and flow! :)

i dont get why a lot of people are complaining about cloud wandering around so much...he didnt do it the entire time...and that floor is huge! he was just using all the space provided! haha and also i think that he was cleaner and definitely more creative than lilou...lilou almost fell on his gainer and had a pause on his headspin on his last set...but a way sweet battle

@cambi18 Between the end of Cloud's 2nd set and the rest of his 3rd, it seemed like he ran out of steam. Which is a shame, cause he friggin' pwned everybody else he went up against. Even if it was rigged(the 2 vs. 3 vote to build up fanfare), it was a fair call. IMHO.

You can have a lot of opinion about cloud... based on the world-wide accepted term of b-boy, he isn't one, but in the core of the term, or how b-boy was made, he is one.
Either way, he is a good dancer. Hitting the beats perfectly, but with rather unspectarcular moves... even tho' he can do that too.

cloud took this.. the judges had no respect, just because cloud was making money and quit training for a while to go with madonna, and they got pissed because hes that good, and he quit for a while so theyre all jealous they have to train everyday, and he didnt, and he still made the finals we the shit he already had.. i honestly truly believe cloud, is and will be considered one of the best bboys in breakdance history, all who say diffrent, dont know what bboying is truly about..self expression
