mickey finn was a beautiful looking man and was very loyal to marc. marc's death had a very catastophic effect on mickey's life( so sad )and regardless of what mickey looked like in his later years,to me,he was still handsome. mickey is someone i will never forget-for his physical presence and his devotion to marc's memory. ...mickey and marc live on through the music. i love them both but,especially mickey...(love you sweet mickey!)

the camera loved mickey so much,but there was more than that...on reflection those congas added more to the t-rex sound than anyone maybe imagined at the time...and the most lovely thing was he never tried to steal the limelight off marc.he played a very humble supporting role,which actually drew the eye towards him.he didn't try to hard..he just 'was'...and that's the essence of style and good nature.

the last time i saw micky was somewhere around the mid 90's.. was approached by the record companies to make a come back.. don't think micky was very impressed with what they had in mind.. so told them to shove it.. & sold off all rights to t.rex.. think that was his downfall really.. great guy.. : )

the first time i set eyes on mickey he was stacking shelves at caters supermarket in surrey street croydon(circa 63) along with his friend derek who became my boyfriend for 4 years..they were studying at croydon art college..he became a huge part of my life til i went to africa in 1970 when sometime later was astounded seeing a picture of him in 'honey' magazine as a pop star...a shock to say the least, but he was a lovely lovely guy and a simply amazing dancer.!

Mickey was sure the perfect foil for Marc.. both shone very bright..like different coloured neons in the same light display. Forgetting Mickey is like forgetting how to spell T-REX!

Mickey Finn IS T.Rex , if there is one thing I can never forgive Marc for is sacking Mickey it broke his heart!!!.

I met him in his antique shop in the Kings Road a while after he was sacked, a sad man for sure!

This video is absolutely stunning! It really breaks my heart to see how Mickey deteriorated over the many yeas after Marc Bolan's death...he himself...often admitted that he never got over it!
