i fired an m4's attached grenade launcher a few weeks ago, i blew up a cow with it. But the end result didnt really follow suit with what i had in mind.
one of my friends dad shot a P90, and he says its like shooting a .22 mag and full auto. He says the gun weighs like nothing and you barely feel the kick
bro you have to follow through with your shots i notice as soon as you squeeze the trigger you release that fucks your shot groupings up what you have to do is squeeze then hold until you hear and feel a metallic clunk you also need to put it on safety before you release the magazine and with shooting standing up you need to put that elbow down and lean forward into the weapon that gives you a real good firing posture

Did the russians not switch to a smaller caliber in the ak74? seems like that would answer that question. My am pleased with the accuracy of my AK, and now you can buy a HK 416 upper that makes the M4 as reliable as an AK, that and a new Eotech site and I will be stoked!
They both have high and low points. AK is super easy to maintain, doesn't need to be cleaned that often and is battle proven for over 60 yrs. The AK is alot more fun to shoot IMHO. The AR is deadly accurate....uh.....and thats about it.

No, AKs are NOT a pile of shit, I'm getting quarter sized three round groups at 100 meters with my WASR. No mods (other than the 922r ones). All you need is to aim, and stop the "spray and pray" model which all ragheads seem to adhere to. Regarless, I'd rather not be shot with either 5.56 or 7.62, and thats the name of the game.

first of all, it wasnt an M4, it was an Ar-15 style rifel. second, the dad was good with safety instructions but he needs to teach the kid how to shoot. his left hand was doing nothing to stable the gun. he should have put it under the stock pressing it into his shoulder.
Orenbec, allow me to properly inform you. An assault rifle by definition is one that can switch to full auto or three round burst. The rifle we are using is a civilian semi auto rifle, and CANNOT go full auto without illegal modifications. Just because the rifle looks like an assault rifle, doesn't mean that it is.
The range we were at would only allow 3 rounds per mag in a semi auto rifle. We did have 20 and 30 round mags, but were not using them to capacity. Dumb rule, but a rule nonetheless.

I think that every law abiding person should learn all they can about firearms and have at least one in the house for protection. I teach my boys respect, dicipline (muzzle and trigger), proper technique, and safety. I've demystified the firearm as well. When we aren't at the range, all firearms are triggerlocked and ammo is locked away. The only gun that is not TL'ed is both my wifes and my sidearms which we carry on us. My sons know full well the implications of firearms.
And what a gun can do in the hands of the wrong person. We believe in self preservation, therefore, we (the wife and I) carry sidearms. We are our first line of defense, the police are just a cleanup crew.
As far as sport, we target shoot, clay shoot, and under safe conditions, blow shit up. It's fun! I hold no contempt for those who choose not to own or use firearms, just don't force your anti-gun opinions on us.
As far as the difference between a "hunting rifle" and an "assault or assault type" rifle, there is none. They both can kill when used by the wrong person. I can hit targets at 300 meters just as easy with an AR15 as I can with a 8mm Mauser boltaction made in the '40s. A knife can be used just as effectively as a handgun (if not more) when used by a person with the proper training. I do NOT train my boys to arbitrarily kill, only to use as much force necessary to defend against a valid threat.
As I said, we are our own protectors as we cannot and should not depend on some gov't entity to do what we are entitled and required morally to do: Defend good folks against those who would murder, rape, and rob us.

Actually depending on what service you are with you can bring your own weapon, BUT you have to have permission from your comanding officer. Thats not saying you can take your Rem. 700 30-06 to iraq... My M4 is identical to what we use. I just dont have full auto because its a waste.

Seriously hadi111111 the ak47 is reliable but horribly inaccurate compared to an m16 or any decent assault rifle. And yeah, do learn to spell your words correctly moron.
Both rifles have their pros and cons. The M16/AR15 is accurate and light, but prone to jams in poor conditions. The AK is less accurate, but extremely powerful and indestructible. If I HAD to choose, I'd take the AK anyday.
With the same amount of debris and environment the M16 is the same as the kalashnikov. The Bolt assy is preety indestructible for the M16 and not prone to jams more than a kalashnikov is.

The ballistics coefficient of the 7.62x39mm is a lot lower than the 5.56x45mm. The 7.62x39mm becomes a freakin piece of shrapnel after 300 yards.

I think that every law abiding person should learn all they can about firearms and have at least one in the house for protection. I teach my boys respect, dicipline (muzzle and trigger), proper technique, and safety. I've demystified the firearm as well. When we aren't at the range, all firearms are triggerlocked and ammo is locked away. The only gun that is not TL'ed is both my wifes and my sidearms which we carry on us. My sons know full well the implications of firearms.

And what a gun can do in the hands of the wrong person. We believe in self preservation, therefore, we (the wife and I) carry sidearms. We are our first line of defense, the police are just a cleanup crew.
As far as sport, we target shoot, clay shoot, and under safe conditions, blow shit up. It's fun! I hold no contempt for those who choose not to own or use firearms, just don't force your anti-gun opinions on us.

As far as the difference between a "hunting rifle" and an "assault or assault type" rifle, there is none. They both can kill when used by the wrong person. I can hit targets at 300 meters just as easy with an AR15 as I can with a 8mm Mauser boltaction made in the '40s. A knife can be used just as effectively as a handgun (if not more) when used by a person with the proper training. I do NOT train my boys to arbitrarily kill, only to use as much force necessary to defend against a valid threat.

If you didn´t have to opportunity to by a gun so easy as you can in the states dont you think killing would decrease? I know your argument is that its the person that kills, not the gun but take other countries with much strickter gunlaws. You don´t get that much killings in say Sweden, Norway or any other European country because the gun....

I think that is a good eveidence of a society gone abit wrong when kids learn to fire weapons. I know you don´t train your sons to kill people, that would be insane. Tarzan I disagree, When children are exposed in the right manner to firearms, they are much safer to all with a healthy respect of a firearm. The guy there is teaching him to safely operate it, which he does (unlike some scary vids on here). The bigger problem is 8yr olds who play games like Grand Theft Auto and learn to rob, kill and steal. I have seen 8yr old kids see a firearm and know not to touch it without an adult let alone use it, and other untrained kids say cool! & rush to pick it up.

My father had an M4 when I was in highschool. AND he taught me how to shoot before I joined the USCG. Did I go and "shoot up" my school? Nope. Actually depending on what service you are with you can bring your own weapon, BUT you have to have permission from your comanding officer. Thats not saying you can take your Rem. 700 30-06 to iraq... My M4 is identical to what we use. I just dont have full auto because its a waste.

Both rifles have their pros and cons. The M16/AR15 is accurate and light, but prone to jams in poor conditions. The AK is less accurate, but extremely powerful and indestructible. If I HAD to choose, I'd take the AK anyday.

With the same amount of debris and environment the M16 is the same as the kalashnikov. The Bolt assy is preety indestructible for the M16 and not prone to jams more than a kalashnikov is.

The kid needs to be taught not to have his finger on the trigger while reloading, my balls were shrinking every time he was gripping the pistol grip while his finger was on the trigger while he was still dinking around with the fowards assist of the bolt and the charging hammer.. other than that everything was perfect, god bless america.

Alex liked it, but he wasn't that impressed. He's more of a larger caliber kinda kid. Mosin Nagants, Mausers, 1903A3's are his speed. If his shoulder isn't hurting at the end of the day then he just ain't happy.
