  • Best music of all cartoons then, by far.

  • 'Ere! Tornado'man aint' so fuckin' popular arfter orl th' people that died in terrible gusts of whirlwinds stateside this year,is he!?

  • Ending for "Terminator ripped off from the scene at 06:09.

  • 4:33, the original wardrode malfunction!

  • @SpectrumChris

    He's wearing a diaper.

  • This is basically the Three Stooges with super powers (and a couple of extra members). That poor guy at 2:11 said it best; "With heroes like these, who needs villains?"

  • AH A Steel Stealer!!!! Call the Mighty Heroes!!!!

  • THX!!! I remember this when I was a child!!!

  • that rocks!!!!!! and coo-koo and coo-koo

  • This is so classic! Used to watch this as a kid.

  • 4:34 I don't like the position Diaper Man's in.....and it appears he's uh, lost his diaper... uh oh

  • @Lasertrain

Then what would his name be? Of COURSE he hasn't lost it.

  • I believe Ralph Bakshi started working at Terrytoons right out of high school, and had become a director there in the mid 1960's (1964 or 1965?).

Bakshi left Terrytoons in early 1967, and as a result, production of "The Mighty Heroes" ended.

  • Cukoo man was the weak link!!!

  • @kidd912thomas True, he's the least effective member of the team, but he's not useless.

    He has his moments.

  • The best part is after they get their butts kicked they miraculously turn things around.

  • does anybody have the one were they came back on the Mighty Mouse cartoons of the late 80's early 90's?

  • @2199 i have them on boot leg dvd disks (all eposides) - they have a mighty mouse eposide with the might heros which r. bashi owns the rights to now.

  • @markm856 856 is my area code back in south jersey. I always wanted to see that episode on mighty mouse. I have them on dvd as well.

  • Best superhero theme EVER!

  • Check out 5:49. We need Tornado Man in the Gulf to take care of all this oil!

    Thanks for the post, bobp3568!

  • I just love these old classics. Kinda makes me wish Ralph Bakshi would make a revival of the old series.

  • man it brings me back too laying on the floor wrapped in my blanket watching the toons in my youngen days .. thanx for posting these toons.....

  • A really funny story my wife told me, she tried looking for these on the net but could only remember ropeman. It brought her to bondage sites! LOL! I remember these from when I was a kid too, along w/the Banana Splits Show!

  • Good damn thing she didn't look up DIAPER MAN!

  • Dude this is awesome! I don't know if it's the beers or what? Lol! I'm saving these! Ain't seen em' since the 70's. What a trip!!

  • I missed these cartoons when they came out, never saw one before. Thanks for posting this!

  • there a clip of one of these where diaper man lost his diaper n showed everythin ....i can't remember if CBS edited that out and do anyone remember that

  • When I saw this. It was mixed in with Mighty Mouse cartoons back in the day on WLVI 56 Boston.

  • Hay SavClub, do you remember Uncle Dale who used to announce the cartoons? Ch 56 and 38 were the olny ones who played cartoons, thank God.

  • "Uncle Dale" Dorman is still alive and well, He's currently on the air at oldies 103.3 in Boston.

  • I met him in 1981 (at the 'Bowser look-alike' contest) at WLVI in Cambridge

  • one of my favorite episodes by far :)

  • Diaper Man sounds a lot like Popeye, is that Jack Mercer?

  • Agreed, he does sound like him, but i don't know if that's his voice actor

  • Herschel Bernardi - he was in Hanna-Barbera's "Top Cat" too apparently.

  • I had a hard time finding this because I gforgot the name of the toon

    I haven't seen this in geez..30 years

  • 40 years

  • the mighty heroes oh plaese they make the super friends look really bad.

  • I hardly even knew of this cartoon until now.

  • Comment removed

  • Tornado Man has legitimate powers, so it's harder to make him funny. I liked Rope Man, too-- he's probably why I like stretching characters to this day.

  • I love the opening theme. It really keeps in time and tune!

  • do i hear jack mercer as the voice of diaper man?

  • No you don't. The voices for this cartoon were done by Lionel Wilson and Herschel Bernardi.

  • I remember this! We hated diaper man.

  • Simply Fantastic! I remember watching this toons as a kid, now they are even better! The staff in charge of doing these was really way ahead of their times! This is still way much better of some of the cartoon products we are watching now a days! kudos for posting this great stuff! Godspeed...

  • I recall that Coonskin was released over 20 years ago on VHS as "Streetfight" with an ad on it that said something like "This film will offend EVERYBODY!" The NAACP denounced it as racist along with "Song of the South" so it's probably not available in the States!

  • MILK does a body good, but it seems that villains really hate the stuff. Diaper Man puts it to very good use as a weapon during his battles. :)

  • I sure hope they get Bakshi's coonskin, Hey good lookin, New adentures of mighty mouse, Spicy City and with bonus stuff like the music videos onto dvd

  • LOVE The Mighty Heroes! The music, villains, so cool! Is Hershal Bernardi doing the narration???

  • I agree with you on this ome!

  • I'm not sure, but I know that Bob McFadden, the man who did all of the voices on The Milton The Monster Show did all of the heroes and the villains. And I thought Mel Blanc had an excellent range of animated voices!

  • Yes Elric I agree!! But check out Daws Butler(Hanna-Barbera cartoon,Yogi, ect!!) I think he was the best!

  • That idiot, you take out Diaper Man FIRST. He's the brains of the outfit. very cool stuff. I actually saw a bootleg "The Mighty Heroes" DVD at a comic-book convention last summer. To bad I didn'r get it.

  • How could you not!Aw man,you blew it!(LOL)!Stuff like that is Gold! Do not ever pass it up!Great Comment!

  • Hey, I was out of money at that point okay. Also, I had to make sure I would be making a good investment.

  • I understand Fan! I was always in that situation when I used to have to decide on buying albums.Yes I made some poor investments! I know where you are coming from that is why I found it a little humorous.I identified with the situation! Great comment !

  • this was one of my favorite cartoons. it used to come on with mighty mouse on sunday mornings. it was fun!!

  • Where can I obtain these chapters?

  • cockoo man always messed things up. wonderful background music.

  • This is definately hilarious! Ralph Bakshi must have had a blast.

  • this is ahead of its time. it seems like an original series cartoon network would create today.

  • I would love to see a full length feature of TMH!!!

  • WOW!!!! I'm only 2 minutes in and this is amazing. This is ten thousand times more flamboyant than any other cartoons on TV at that time. I don't know how any kids could stand to watch most of that stuff, and I especially can't imagine how anyone could stand to WORK on it. But Bakshi's crazy poses and sharp direction show that he was actually having (gasp!) FUN with this.
