This is basically the Three Stooges with super powers (and a couple of extra members). That poor guy at 2:11 said it best; "With heroes like these, who needs villains?"
A really funny story my wife told me, she tried looking for these on the net but could only remember ropeman. It brought her to bondage sites! LOL! I remember these from when I was a kid too, along w/the Banana Splits Show!
there a clip of one of these where diaper man lost his diaper n showed everythin ....i can't remember if CBS edited that out and do anyone remember that
Tornado Man has legitimate powers, so it's harder to make him funny. I liked Rope Man, too-- he's probably why I like stretching characters to this day.
Simply Fantastic! I remember watching this toons as a kid, now they are even better! The staff in charge of doing these was really way ahead of their times! This is still way much better of some of the cartoon products we are watching now a days! kudos for posting this great stuff! Godspeed...
I recall that Coonskin was released over 20 years ago on VHS as "Streetfight" with an ad on it that said something like "This film will offend EVERYBODY!" The NAACP denounced it as racist along with "Song of the South" so it's probably not available in the States!
I sure hope they get Bakshi's coonskin, Hey good lookin, New adentures of mighty mouse, Spicy City and with bonus stuff like the music videos onto dvd
I'm not sure, but I know that Bob McFadden, the man who did all of the voices on The Milton The Monster Show did all of the heroes and the villains. And I thought Mel Blanc had an excellent range of animated voices!
That idiot, you take out Diaper Man FIRST. He's the brains of the outfit. very cool stuff. I actually saw a bootleg "The Mighty Heroes" DVD at a comic-book convention last summer. To bad I didn'r get it.
I understand Fan! I was always in that situation when I used to have to decide on buying albums.Yes I made some poor investments! I know where you are coming from that is why I found it a little humorous.I identified with the situation! Great comment !
WOW!!!! I'm only 2 minutes in and this is amazing. This is ten thousand times more flamboyant than any other cartoons on TV at that time. I don't know how any kids could stand to watch most of that stuff, and I especially can't imagine how anyone could stand to WORK on it. But Bakshi's crazy poses and sharp direction show that he was actually having (gasp!) FUN with this.
These guy's were cool, and i remember each and every fuckin' episode!!!...RALPH BAKSHI YOU ROCK HOMEBOY!!!!!!!

I believe Ralph Bakshi started working at Terrytoons right out of high school, and had become a director there in the mid 1960's (1964 or 1965?).
Bakshi left Terrytoons in early 1967, and as a result, production of "The Mighty Heroes" ended.

@kidd912thomas True, he's the least effective member of the team, but he's not useless.
He has his moments.

Hay SavClub, do you remember Uncle Dale who used to announce the cartoons? Ch 56 and 38 were the olny ones who played cartoons, thank God.

"Uncle Dale" Dorman is still alive and well, He's currently on the air at oldies 103.3 in Boston.

MILK does a body good, but it seems that villains really hate the stuff. Diaper Man puts it to very good use as a weapon during his battles. :)
