  • Tchaikovsky or Hendel's Sarabande ? :D eehheh

  • parties over when string breaks should have compensated with the other strings

  • Regrettable accident ... masterful interpretation :)

  • Still, watched from about 7:00. Very nice playing!!

  • Bravo. Realmente lo disfruté. Lástima por lo del final, pero con esa calidad musical demostrada, no tiene importancia. Congratulatioins!

  • Wow, just wonderful (the music)...gave me goose bumps. Live in a concert hall and accompanied by a symphony orchestra would be out of this world. Maxim Vengerov was my favorite for this piece, but now...

  • If our instruments break....oh well, we get to get an early "break"...get it?!

  • Beautiful sound! Wish the pianist were a little less wooden, though.

  • Dang he can play and hes sexy ^_^ i wish i could play that well

  • It never would've happened on a baroque violin. ; P

  • I am no critic but u actually owned the piece..... actually liked it

    thumbs up 4 you

  • Very nice violin playing, but the pianist's posture is not very good lol

  • wow! i love the sound of his playing... ^_^

  • This is one of my favorite pieces!

  • What a fine performance. A class!

I just googled your name and I am going to follow your work. I am glad that the chin rest stayed for most of this performance. By the way, apart from the chin rest, you have a fine instrument there; great character. Thanks for posting.

  • watched the whole video. srsly. ur good man

  • beautiful playing, i'm so sorry for the accident!

  • It was good, should have kept going. I bet you would have still made it...Really good sound mate.

  • Your playing is first rate. Who did/do you study with?

  • Beautiful playing, my friend! Sorry about the accident.

  • at least it was a cadence......

  • hmm, may Eduard Hanslick was right about the violin being "beaten black and blue" :) (for those not familiar with the history of this piece, that's a joke). anyway, that was excellent playing, very clean.

  • @cornel999 If memory serves, that was the music critic? Haha I couldn't agree more.

  • at least it ended on the tonic ;)

  • Este es un problema que a cualquier músico le puede suceder, Lo que importa es que tanto el violinista como la pianista llevaron muy bien la obra. Lo demás, es una anecdota de sus carreras!!!

    Maravilloso, desde Argentina

  • Holy Crap that asian woman playing the piano stopped IMMEDIATELY after it broke.

  • I love how this happens every ten minutes to my standpartner.

  • This looks like a very fun piece to learn; I will hunt down the score and claim it for Spain.

As for you, Mr. Gabdullin, you are an absolutely immaculate player! I applaud you... great-sounding instrument, too!

  • I was at a harp recital once and one of the harp strings broke. It banged like a revolver. My heart almost stopped. A few spectators were sleeping in their seet. That woke them up real time!

  • много понтов и очень хорошая техника а где П И Чайковский?

  • I wanna play like this...im a level 1

  • @riannasdad

    this piece is... OVER 9000!!

  • You play sooo beautifully. And I think you have found your 4ever instrument- it seems so connected to you... may I ask about your violin? origin, age, etc.? thanks for the wonderful performance!

  • I love it. you're a great player.

  • Im so sorry or him cauz he plays so well!! TALENTED!

  • Piano girl... nice heartless playing (sorry..but c'mon, you could get so much more dramatic scenes from this piece)

As for mr. Martogalan, YOU ARE AMAZING!!!!

And although it did not ended as you probably hoped at the moment... that accident made it perfect (in a dramatic sense)

  • Thank you all for comments! No, I had to stop...the piece that got broken, then fell down :) and what remained on violin had a really sharp edge! Unpleasant experience..:/

  • @martogalan

That stinks, but you don't! Great playing! Great sound!

You should be glad for that broken chinrest. It is getting you the attention you deserve. It is hard to get past 100 hits on youtube :-)

  • Comment removed

  • @martogalan I'm sure you recall Eduard Hanslick's nasty comment that the violin was not Played, but rather "beaten black and blue" in the course of the Tchaikovsky Concerto...

  • The reaction of the pianist...Looooooooool

  • i wanna know what happened after you stop playing... did you just walk away, or started playing again? if so, did you started again from the top or took it from same spot? you play amazing. as other people said before, this is barely a fail... your playing is more of a WIN hehehe

  • Hahahahahahhahahahahahahaahahahhahahahhahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahah !

  • @Martogalan, you demonstrate outstanding musicianship in this brilliant performance; your technical skill is absolutely flawless. I wish you had uploaded it for what it is, rather than an "accident" video; you do yourself in an injustice.

  • just wondering, what did you do after the chinrest broke???

  • the pianist did not mach the violinist...however the violinistsounds amazing

. perfect playing everynote was played perfectly intune dynamics are wonderful too.

  • And you sounded great even the last note before the horrible snap I literally jumped and went "ooh!" when I heard it, so unexpected! -M

  • The pianist did not have the right style... >_>

  • Who is he? What is his name?

  • The little mishap notwithstanding, I must say you play excellently.....

  • JUST watch the last 7 seconds.

  • @Respuesta1111 Dont, the playing is beautiful!

  • @wagneristhebest

Of course it is beautiful. I'm just pointing where the string breaks

  • It was an epic ending tho : )

  • Realmente... fuera del accidente, muy linda interpretación!!!!!

Gracias por compartir lo del final, jeje pero bueno!!

    Esperamos más videos tuyos!!

  • in case that no one understands my comment.... (=

I said that.. really, out of the accident, that was a very nice interpretation.

Thanks to "martogalan" for sharing this video.

    We want more videos.

    sorry for my language accidents!!

  • no fense, kinda slow

  • You should ahve kept playing lol

  • @buckyizkool31 I was kinda shocked... :)))

  • Forget the "accident"! This guy can really play. Beautiful sound, perfect intonation, lovely musicianship without uneccesary and phony mannerisms. But, who the f... is he?? Where was this recorded? Lovely acoustic. The pianist is a little on the prosaic and rather colourless side. But a little information re the violinist would be appreciated.

  • @TheSmoshmy thank you very much for the comment. My name is Marat Gabdullin, it was recorded at the University of Oklahoma, Sharp Concert Hall.

  • @martogalan forget the accident your playing is simply beautiful compact and pure

  • what exactly happened? Sounded like a string snapped.

Either way, mad respect for posting a fail vid.... though it was hardly a fail at all.

    Wonderful performance!

  • @R1skArb no, it's not a string - it is my chin rest broke! in half! :) thank you for comment!

  • @martogalan i kno how it feel xD..my chin rest oso broke when i wan praticing
