  • Sorry, i have so many questions, but i am not alone in this i believe, so plz do anwer them!!

In my first question i related to the fact i couldnt get my saved mission added in the game-list.

This goes simular for a add-on i downloaded. How can i correct this? Some instructional info on the data of missions installation seems very usefull here.

Also it is said you should fill in your license-code at the forumsection of shipsim.com to obtain more add-ons.Where i find the right place to do so?

  • @TheSpelspeler I hope these answers are enough to help you understand this mission editor. Its a awesome machine with endless possibility’s. Play around and test these missions in game. If you have other questions we have a very good customer support. And also a forum where you can find answers! Goodluck with your mission creation and see you online on the multiplayer servers!

  • 5- Is there a way to design other (floating) objects yourself? And add this in game?

6- In game i noticed that at a given startpoint some ships are moored with two lines from one point to two seperate points (bollards). How can this be achieved in game? In editor?

7- Is there a way in editor to make a distinction between a loaded and a empty ship in depth of the vessel? It would be also nice if you could edit its visual load like on the vermaas!

  • @TheSpelspeler Question 5 : No you cant import your own objects in this editor.

  • @TheSpelspeler Question 6 : In the mission editor you can add Bollards in the mission (Static-->Environment Objects--Bollard01 etc) There are 3 Bollard types to add in your mission.

Select a placed bollard in the 3d environment and rightMouseklick on the object. In the properties window u can give the bollard the correct height.

  • @TheSpelspeler Question 6-Part2 :After u placed 2 or more bollards u can select the ship and click on the Moor button in the top toolbar, click on a yellow moor point of the ship and after that click on the yellow Bollard on the shore. Repeat these steps if u want to add another mooring line. (Select ship → click Moore button → Select mooring Point on ship → select Bollard)

  • @TheSpelspeler Question 7 : No its not possible to change the mass of a ship, I agree that it would be nice...

  • ...the target. So even as it worked, i wondered about distances between guidepoints. Plz eleborate! 3- I tried to change the weatherconditions, but i didnt get the result i was hoping for. However i did see some changes going on, but i wondered what timeframe i should expect here, since i dont seem to have that accelerator thing you used? Or can i? 4- I wondered about the many items in the structure-scheme and the small box to put it in. Its likely to be to small for big programs, isnt it?

  • @TheSpelspeler Question 3 : The weather conditions are advanced options, its pretty hard to get the wanted effect but it is possible. Its to much information to give you here Try reading the mission editor guide, you can find this document in the start menu → Ship Simulator Extremes → Mission Editor Guide

  • @TheSpelspeler Question 4: No Its not to small, its even unlimited big. you can scale the window and stretch it across your screen. After that place your mouse pointer in the box and scroll your mouse wheel, you can navigate in the Logic area, right Mouse down and move the mouse pointer. (we made missions that are way bigger then the standard window)

  • Thx for this nice tutorial!!! Do hope you will continue this with a more advance one with topics on mooring, ships like the orientstar with multiple ships like the lifecrafts on board and so on!!

However i do have some problems i need solved first: 1- In this tutorial you saved your mission and was later on able to access it as any gamer. I couldnt find my saved game, i made like you showed here. 2- I put my Sphere entities further apart for effect, but the boat kinda sailed randomly towards,,,

  • @TheSpelspeler Question 1 : Save your mission in the following way: File → Save as → Click on User missions and give it a name. Then go to File → Quit to Main Menu. In main Menu go to Play → UserMissions → and select Your Mission Name. Click on Play button and have fun!

  • @TheSpelspeler Question 2 : That is correct, you give the AI ship a Target, how the AI reaches his target is depending on other parameters (the AI ship will avoid collision with other AI ships and with the environment. Its not possible to predict a exact path to a target.

  • @ShipSimAtVSTEP Are the Names of Start Trigger etc optional? My english isnt good so please answer in simple words.

    Thanks

  • @DonFusselLP Yes these names are optional, it only helpes you to read your own mission. If u dont rename them its no problem at all.

  • how do idownload other missions from other users

  • @pricelessppp In the game there's an option "Donwload content" and there's the other missions from other users

  • @pricelessppp you can download them in the game. I don't know what it is called in english, but it's translated like 'extra' or 'adds ; then you can download them, and play them in single mission

  • im getting it t-day xD

  • ben je nederlands??

  • is english your first language

  • In your installation folder, in the startmenu is a shortcut to the mission editor guide.

  • where can I find the mission editor manual?

  • @rahulp02 in the game

  • The 1.3 patch is released for steam and on shipsim.com/downloads/updates

  • when is the patch going to be released?
