  • Oh, yes . . . I also play piano.

  • When Bill and I first met in 1953, I was playing bass and he was basically a drummer. Caldonia was recorded on a little home rig in a nightclub in Spokan, WA around 1971. It sounds better in stereo on My Space. It's a shame that YouTube is only monaural. Anyway, we made pretty good music for just two guys! Caldonia really does rock!

  • I don't recall ever seeing you guys do music, so I'd have to guess Bill was the drummer, as am I. Nice to know there's more of us drummers that are great comedy lovers, too and quite a bit on the goofy side! And DAMN PROUD of it!!!! ;-)

  • Some might not agree to that "greatest" comment. We actually thought of ourselves as a two-man variety show. When we began out career at Disneyland in 1958 it was music based, with Bill playing all kinds of goofy instruments like tuned skillets. Then we started doing takeoffs on the 4 lands that made up Disneyland and pretty soon we had the basis for a lot of comedy. But we never really separated the music from the funny bits. But a warm thanks for your thoughts. They mean a lot, especially now.

  • Condolences to you on the passing of your brilliantly talented friend. I used to see your incredibly funny gigs on Carson 70's, 80's ? I never saw you guys play music until 3 days ago on here. I am astonished at how great this and the other piece (concert piano) are, and what an amazing singer and musician you are. Skiles and Henderson is,was and will always be one of the greatest acts in the history of show business.
