Probably part of the reason..there is a bit of guilt because of what their history has shown in the world. 'Kill and takeover' has pretty much been the method of how they got here. Good video, as a mom who hasn't taken her kids out of school for ceremonies, here is some advice. You don't seed to tell your teacher, your mom should tell the school, and ask for work for you to do while your out so you dont' get so far behind. They can't tell her no, it's not their place. While a teacher might ask you to write about why you were out to give you credit for it, the principal would open himself up to a lawsuit if he asked you to.
You may want to learn how to spell racism before you talk about it. Other than that, nice vid. It wouldn't post. I put it on as a comment on your channel. If enough children report the abuse we can make it stop. It is hard for other people to understand what it is like to go to these schools who use mascots to stereotype and demean our ethnicity. The schools support disrespect of Indigenous American's culture through this and thereby promote a hostile environment for our Indigenous Children. There are some public online schools now. If it gets too bad you might try that instead.

Siyo chuchee, I know that it is prolific here in Oklahoma. I went to school here and I had similar experiences. It took me a long time to do something, but I want to let you know that you are not alone. I have contacted the Office of Civil Rights about this problem, but my experiences are from 17 years ago. Please contact them as well, they are in charge of the schools. You do have rights. I am so proud for you. Your testimony is so important. Above is their contact information.

Stay strong little bro, just take this experience with you and just re-educate the people who do not understand the Native American culture. As an african american myself, I have alot of compassion and understanding for native americans here and i hate some of the things that white people say about them. You cant fight with violence unless it is bestowed upon you; however you can always fight racism with education.

Probably part of the reason..there is a bit of guilt because of what their history has shown in the world. 'Kill and takeover' has pretty much been the method of how they got here. They cannot take away or change what they did; however because of their loss of culture and loss of whom they were to begin with they should at least have understanding and compassion for what the past has brough to the present. It is not the people of todays fault for the things they did.

But from my observation whites still behave like savages only this time they don’t have guns to kill and if they kill they are brought to trial and imprisoned. The only way we can help these whites who have no substance and are like ghost is to say it like it is plain and simple. I am a native american and grew up in California in the 1970s and expierienced much the same as you, i was born within a Cherokee community but we moved to a white community in san francisco when i was 8 yrs , i remember people including teachers treating me like an idiot and talking to me in pidgin or talking to me really slowly, and they made me actually believe i was stupid and for years i was embarassed about my heritage then i realised the opinions of people that ingnorant don't matter

Don't hit him , don't even call him names, walk with your head high representing all of us who had to go thru what you are.. Skip complaining to the school g and complain to the school district in writing that you are being discriminated against, then the school will care. Be sure you aren't breaking any schools. Good video, as a mom who hasn't taken her kids out of school for ceremonies, here is some advice. You don't seed to tell your teacher, your mom should tell the school, and ask for work for you to do while your out so you dont' get so far behind. They can't tell her no, it's not their place. While a teacher might ask you to write about why you were out to give you credit for it, the principal would open himself up to a lawsuit if he asked you to.

But you have to remember that racism goes all ways, it's not just against native Americans it happens to everybody. As for the holidays, Easter and such, they aren't really religious holidays anymore as anybody of any religion can get a day off from it (Including you I would assume).

If you had said he was being racist to you then I suspect it would have went differently especially if you told them he followed you home as that by itself is a crime (stalking). However...verbal abuse and physical abuse are two different things, by hitting him you shifted some of the problem to yourself, I suggest you don't hit people just because they annoy

@bmw5234 continued...you, so the next time somebody says things to you, tell the teacher or the principle or whoever exactly what happened, don't hit them as that would just get you in trouble also. And lastly, the world isn't a nice place, and you are going to have to put up with some things that you don't like (I know I did) elementary/middle and high schools have some of the most immature people imaginable, you wont see that in universities and colleges.
