Probably because they are doing one step after another very carefully after what their past faults. However, they are recording an acoustic greatest hits. Their politic it seems to be starting with a thing, look at response of the audience, then increasing their plans. They are sage at 50 :) But I think they will do a new record, but now they want only to be on stage to breath live atmosphere again.

well, i understand your point of view, but they are going on world(!) tour, according to their website. so its not a test pub-tour. and i cant remember seeing a band/musician live w/o promoting an album. so its a bit strange for me.

Police, Eagles, Led Zeppelin, Genesis (I saw them 2 years ago in Rome, it was fantastic), very famous bands have been on tour recently without having new material. There are no rules. For me it's not a problem. It could be a problem if they do it over and over for the next years without having new material. However, I'm uploading the last interview to Tony where he says there are a couple of new tracks and, obliously, hits in acoustic version. Little bit, but I believe new material will come.

well, cant speak for all bands but LZ promoted their DVD 2007, Genesis re-release of best of in 2007, Eagles first album in almost 30 years in 2007 (+tour) and so on... im not in music industry but like i said i never seen a musician touring w/o any new material/promoting stuff (also including best-of's albums) - I guess its a part of a deal with record companies: tour+album (or best of), dvd)

well, saying it, I'm sure that we will have new SB material.

I'm not in the music industry too, but I've a band and I understand the desire to be on stage again. Eagles, made their reunion tour with only few materials (it was in the 90s, as SB will do) but I don't consider the pubblication of a Greatest Hits as new material. But if I do, probably SB launch their Acoustic Greatest Hits just before the tour, so they will be like the other bands. However I continue to say for me there are no rules, if they want they can play even in my house for a cake :)
