Well enough played but metronomic and straight. Seems that emotional content is secondary, almost nonexistent. I much prefer the Spalding/Primrose version though I'm sure it would easily be criticized as being too slow by many. I'm moved by that recording but only appreciate this one. Too bad there is no Kreisler/Primrose version. They recorded Kreisler's quartet together.
If you like this check out Joseph de Boulogne de St. George's Violin Concerto Op. 5, No. 2 in E Major. It was Mozart's inspiration to write this after meeting St. Georges during a visit to Paris.
