That push truck has no reason to be in the middle of the track. They are supposed to stay down low. I've been to this track, and I don't like anything about it.

the story has it that the car the push truck was starting did not fire until late and the truck had to keep going as to not stop on the track. sammy was looking up at the board to see his time and never even saw the push truck. i do agree tho that the truck should not have been that low on the track

Who knows what the thought process of the truck driver was. I was at Superior WI for the northern nationals IRA races. A push truck crossed the track ahead of a qualifiing sprint in 1 and 2. He actually had time to get accross, but the sprint driver reacted and ended up in the wall. Once the car you are pushing off is running on his own, GET OFF THE DAMN TRACK!!! And stay off the track untill you are needed to push another car. It is easier to miss a spinning car than a truck wandering around.

i heard him say that he was going to the outside of the track because the push truck was on the bottom but the truck went up and Sammy had no where to go. its not Sammys fault it was the truck driver

the story has it that the car the push truck was starting did not fire until late and the truck had to keep going as to not stop on the track. sammy was looking up at the board to see his time and never even saw the push truck. i do agree tho that the truck should not have been that low on the track

Who knows what the thought process of the truck driver was. I was at Superior WI for the northern nationals IRA races. A push truck crossed the track ahead of a qualifiing sprint in 1 and 2. He actually had time to get accross, but the sprint driver reacted and ended up in the wall. Once the car you are pushing off is running on his own, GET OFF THE DAMN TRACK!!! And stay off the track untill you are needed to push another car. It is easier to miss a spinning car than a truck wandering around.

That is wrong for the push truck to on the track in the middle of time trials or anything in that matter. This is not Swindell's fault at all. Nothing here (Australia) has ever happened like that. That is just stupidity.
