I own season one and I watch it every time when I have nothing else to do when I am bored out of mind. I even invite my friends over if they answer their phones and I technically have them stay over for the whole night having fun with watching movies with popcorn and going to Wal-Mart to buy soda's and walk around town at night. It's creepy but funny when we peer through peoples window's and scare them! Sometimes we just go to ice cream shops and if their not open then we go to "Imperial".

Wow, I haven't seen this show since I was like 12 and I could still sing along to the theme. This brings back memories. Punky and Silver Spoons I think were my favs at the time. That is until Soliel was on Silver Spoons and Ricky started moving in on my woman lol. To this day I hold a grudge... lol. Hey I was 12 at the time. @Biago80 I was a young kid with my family in the early 80's in New York, we moved to California by 1985, and grew up in Los Angeles from that point forward. I gotta tell you, just remembering the way the streets were, and people back then in the Brooklyn area and latter parts of Hollywood makes me want to travel back to relive the beauty of Woolworth, JJ Newberry, Bullocks, Robinsons, Buffums, and the rest of the amazing locations of the 1980's.

I was 10 years old when Punky Brewster came on and it became one of my favorite shows as a kid. I loved Soleil Moon Frye and was suprised to see her all grown up playing Sabrina's roomate in college on Sabrina The Teen witch. She is a great actress and I am a huge fan!

Interesting fact about this series. As series head writer (84-86), Punky's rapid development alarmed executives - her 'growth' and poor ratings called for a script shake-up. Finale was filmed involving Punky's abduction, violation and slaughter. Next season opens with a new Punky - Henry having replaced Punky with a fresh new girl, named "Spunky". Test audiences failed to respond to the emotional and violent revision so we scrapped the episode and continued with Soleil until cancelation.
