I own season one and I watch it every time when I have nothing else to do when I am bored out of mind. I even invite my friends over if they answer their phones and I technically have them stay over for the whole night having fun with watching movies with popcorn and going to Wal-Mart to buy soda's and walk around town at night. It's creepy but funny when we peer through peoples window's and scare them! Sometimes we just go to ice cream shops and if their not open then we go to "Imperial".
lol i remember this my mom showed me this in the 90s when i came on she would always tell me and only thing youll is a colorful streak darting to the living room XDDD
Very nice character only met 1-2 person who had same traits and character as the one portrayed in this show , and strangely I always related to this show to compare
this show could never happen today because the implication would be that a geriatric dude living with a 6 year old screams molestation. i miss the 80's. no other decade conjures up such emotions. the shows were corny, the clothes were hideous, and the music superficial AND FUN!
Yeah I heard this girl had some serious fun bags...didn't she like have to get breast reduction surgery or something? They were like a health hazard to her, LoL
This ALMOST brings tears to my eyes. brings back memories of the 80s. Great economy, great president, and as a kid we had NES, Atari and glorious TV. What do we have no? Kids today play horrible violent video games, watch Japanimation and hate JESUS lol
The 80's was a wonderful decade and I loved American culture at that time - the TV shows, the movies, the music, the lifestyle. I miss the 80's. I loved Punky Brewster and remember lots of little girls wanting to look just like her.
Wow, I haven't seen this show since I was like 12 and I could still sing along to the theme. This brings back memories. Punky and Silver Spoons I think were my favs at the time. That is until Soliel was on Silver Spoons and Ricky started moving in on my woman lol. To this day I hold a grudge... lol. Hey I was 12 at the time. Everything is the end of the world when you're 12.
seriously makes me proud to be an 80s kid. the michael jackson poster at :48 the ugly knitted afghan and :49 and her crazy clothes. it's magic really. you can't compete with this stuff.
@Biago80 I was a young kid with my family in the early 80's in New York, we moved to California by 1985, and grew up in Los Angeles from that point forward. I gotta tell you, just remembering the way the streets were, and people back then in the Brooklyn area and latter parts of Hollywood makes me want to travel back to relive the beauty of Woolworth, JJ Newberry, Bullocks, Robinsons, Buffums, and the rest of the amazing locations of the 1980's.
@krazygreen Yes!!! Me too!! Do I know you ? LOL I moved to LA in 1985. I had lived in in New York for 1984 only and my family hated it because of how cold it was in winter. Then LA from 1985 to NOW 2011. I loved the 80's a lot. I remember everything, eventhough I was only a kid under the age of 13. I miss the 80's. Punky Brewster and many other TV shows and cartoons. If I could live in one decade forever, it would be the 80's, the best time to be alive. Now life sucks
I was 10 years old when Punky Brewster came on and it became one of my favorite shows as a kid. I loved Soleil Moon Frye and was suprised to see her all grown up playing Sabrina's roomate in college on Sabrina The Teen witch. She is a great actress and I am a huge fan!
it was Soleil Moon Fry and if you remember the cute little girl. Google the name now and see what nature and time did to her... holly crap batman... she's a MEGA BABE....
Fuck Miley Cyrus! You need to get your facts straight before making yourself look like an ass again. That wasn't Miley, that was Soleil Moon Frye. Miley Cirus wasn't even born when this show was on air during the 80's.
I understand there was a second version of the final shot of Punky making Henry smile and Brandon barking, which used the style of the saturday morning cartoon version of Punky.
Interesting fact about this series. As series head writer (84-86), Punky's rapid development alarmed executives - her 'growth' and poor ratings called for a script shake-up. Finale was filmed involving Punky's abduction, violation and slaughter. Next season opens with a new Punky - Henry having replaced Punky with a fresh new girl, named "Spunky". Test audiences failed to respond to the emotional and violent revision so we scrapped the episode and continued with Soleil until cancelation.
