My sister and I watched this video-lecture TODAY and we were really moved and touched by her ideas and easy way to transmit them....
We are sure she is not only illumitaing her own generation but also generations to come...
It was such an honor for us to listen to her. Her wise words were beyond any expectations and will be greatly remembered and used to do what she was advicing us to do: "whatever transformation changes you are making in your life.. it is IMPORTANT"....".
Gloria Steinem taught me the importance of owning you rage, of accepting the validity of it where it comes from pain and how to use it constructively for a better future. Thanks for posting this!
So grateful for this amazing woman who has lived her life in service to women and men everywhere. So especially grateful for what she has done for women, for my daughter - who never questions her equal place at the table - and for myself. I am probably alive because of her. I know I am living, and will live, a very different life than I would have if she had chosen a more self-centered route. So grateful!
It's so odd that feminists have such a dour, angry, humour depiction in the media. Take a look here at the wonderful, funny, insightful Gloria Steinem - as relevant as ever. And I say this as a woman in my twenties.
Absolutely. That depiction in the media is intended to keep us in our places. It tells us, "Don't be a feminist, or you'll be unpleasant and no one will like you!" They couldn't be more wrong.

I totally agree. She is very optimistic and a truly relevant activist, dare I say the greatest feminist of our generation.
