@2019Ezekiel. If you watch other anime series you will notice that there's the same issue in almost every single one of them. If you go to Japan, yes, you will find people hugging and kissing etc. and Valentine's day girls usually give guys chocolates. But take it from someone who has been there, in this case my husband. He experienced this firsthand when a Japanese girl he liked kept telling him that she just wanted to be friends when she actually liked him (he later found out thru a friend).

I don't think anyone really gets all this. In Japanese culture, you are not supposed to say ur feelings out loud. It's something I guess ur expected to keep to yourself. You are also expected to understand someone without them telling u how they feel. And I'm not making this up. This words came straight from a friend, who is Japanese. So this is the perfect example.
