Personally I thought MM5 was much worse. The blandest selection of robot masters ever (at least MM6 had the "around the world" theme) and almost no new innovations (other than the an improved charge shot from MM4, there's certainly no jetpacks here). Gravity Man was the only boss with a cool level gimmick.
@EnoRedGuy MM5 was just a lot more fun, it's definitely flawed especially on the weapons front as almost all of them are WORTHLESS but the games always been a lot more fun to me. The levels are a lot better designed, the music is more memorable, and although it is also a really easy game there are some good challenging parts in it as well. Whereas with MM6 whenever I play it I run through it in like an hour and just think "what was the point of that?" because there's really nothing to this game.
So I should probably start with this one first, so that way, like, when I play through the series (eventually and probably only the NES ones) I won't be disappointed due to the bar not being high because of me not playing the critically acclaimed ones, like 2 and 3, first.
@RawbWB I don't know about that, MM6 really isn't a great representation of what's good about the series even if it is an OK game, I would say it's best to start at MM5, just don't start with the first game because it's hard as balls
Oh yeah it's certainly very easy when you nearly die on every boss fight. Play control worse, umm which game did you play?
