  • Wonder Woman was a famous dolphin right?

  • en español

  • cloris leachman?!

  • This Movie of the Week was wonderful! Its my most favorate memory! It was and still is Perfect!

  • damn gorgeous Lynda!!!

  • Lynda carter is very beautiful, very clean, sexy, natural, talented and pure. She's not the modern sexy girls that looks like kind of inappropriate or not clean. And she's a real legendary actress

  • In 1977, I was 14 and watched this original pilot broadcast....good lord!!

Two things struck me even then: the dazzling beauty AND winsomeness (eagerness, innocence, whatever-you-wanna-call it) of Ms. Lynda Carter, and how genuinely moving all her scenes are with queen mother Cloris Leachman. When she wins the competitions and then unmasks herself, her mother is first horrified, then immediately proud. Later, they have an old-fashioned daughter-leaving-the-nest scene, and it is truly lovely.

  • I still love the music for this.

  • la unica mujer maravilla que hubo y habra siempre es linda carter es la mejor nadie mas !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love WW World War 2 years. The episodes are brilliant.

  • I like the part of the theme song where it says, "change your miiiind. And, change the worrrrrld." Cause, that's what I'm gonna do.

But, 1st I need to change my underwear.

  • Linda Carter's waistline must be around 22"

  • Wonder Woman is, was and will be the female figure superhero for ever!!! Long life Wonder Woman!!!! Thanks for posting this video it make my day. : ) -3

  • i like the skirt :/

  • The World War II years were so dull. Don't you prefer the 70's era?

  • i wish i was older when this show came out i would have appreciated more

  • La regina, interpretata da Cloris Leachman ha preso parte alla serie Mary Tyler Moore dove interpretava il personaggio di Phillis. Questo personaggio ebbe talmente successo da dare vita ad un serie autonoma.

  • Yes i agree from the coment that i have below me and i luv wonder woman

  • Wonder Woman and Captain America would make a good couple...

  • "In a world of ordinary mortals, you are a Wonder Woman." Truer words were never spoken.

Very good video, and thanks for posting, friend.

  • Nobody can spin like wonder women ! Spin Baby Spin !!!

  • Theres sumthin quite powerful about seeing a woman picking up and carrying a man, its weird but not in a bad way. Its like we're so used 2 men being the most dominant and woman bieng these figures of beauty, 2b rescued, and admired, worshiped even lol. Wen u c a totally empowered woman, one that is strong at the same time feminine, still extremely beautiful and attractive, its strange and intriguing.

  • I remember watching this when I was a little kid in the 90s, around 7 to 8 years old and I knew I enjoyed it :). I remember this show and Xena: Warrior Princess.

  • Think they could have a new Wonder Woman they had numerous do Superman Kirk Alyn 1948 and 1950 serial movies. George Reeve 1951 movie and 1951-1958 tv series.Christopher Reeves 4 movies, Dean Cain tv series, John Hayme Newton replaced by Gerard Christopher in Superboy series, Tom Welling Smallville 10 seasons, and Brandon Routh in Superman Returns Movie and that's not even counting the cartoons. So think they could have another Wonder Woman also. Just hope they do it right.

  • Wonder Woman was one of my role models growing up.

    Thanks for posting!

  • There will never be any other Wonder Woman ....... Lynda Carter simply WAS Wonder Woman. A goddess .....

  • @andyzarbos

    ^^^

You, on the other hand ...are not a nerd.

  • Why did you put the season 2 theme version?

  • oh when i look at her actions, there is just one word comming in my head "RIDICULOUS" she does'nt fit to be wonder women at all !!

  • @bomerde

    ^^^

    You're a nerd.

  • @TooSlim73 haha ok no problème but u'r a geek than !!

  • there will never be another wonder woman like Lynda Carter...and its shame to replace her for a new wonder woman...period...no one deserves the title of it but Lynda and Lynda carter alone...

  • wow i thought it'd be a lot more corny.

  • Nobody could ever take the place of Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman. She is what I would imagine Wonder Woman to look like. Simply the best!

  • noone could ever be this,,,,it will b hard to ever find a new wonder women,,it sure will

  • Is that Cloris leachman !!

  • Lynda Carter IS Wonder Woman. And still my dream girl. Literally.

    Thanks for sharing

  • thx! more Wonder Woman/ Linda Carter & hi def clips

  • Wonderful video! Thank you!

  • she gave me my first boner. did i say that out loud?

  • Lynda Carter set the benchmark to play Wonder Woman too high! I can't imagine anyone else playing Wonder Woman!

  • @alexmz123 Why are the Nazis always the evil vicious bad guys?

  • Comment removed

  • @eightieshbanger Actually in the movie "The Eagle has Landed" a Nazi or at least a German soldier saves an English child from drowning even though he endangers his life to do it.

  • lol at her just running with "a man" LMAO

  • Lynda to Redhead on the beach - Quick , when I remove the parachute the 2 of us sit on his schwantz !

  • I can't believe this video ! How could the director let the other girl running on the beach upstage Lynda Carter ? ( the girl in yellow has bigger boobs! )

  • hihihi... this is soooooo funny, the red hair girl looks like a drag queen, and wonder woman is soooooooooooo clever... she found out that it is a MAN lying on the beach... gonna lov' this episode....

  • @anothercreature So most of the females are over protected don't even know for sure what a man is.

  • @hydrolito

    ^^^

    Yet another nerd.

  • women were so great back then. grownups were grownups. something is lacking from this new generation, their emotional/spiritual growth was stunted or whatever (not to sound like a hippie).

  • I love Linda Carter, and I didn't know that the Legendary Cloris Leachman played her mother!!!

  • ah man I grew up on this show it was the only DC i really loved i only watched the Batman once and a while, I liked the marvel more mostly Spiderman which was rare where back then lol

  • Que sacrifício eim.. cair numa ilha isolada, repleta de mulheres usando camisolas. Que beleza!!! :D

  • wonder woman is very popular i could believe it she head her own show and comic book

  • Very nicely done! I haven't seen some of these scenes since the 70's when the show first aired. How nice is it to travel down memory lane! Thanks for some fond memories of the 70's and of when I was just shy of my teenage years.

  • Lets make a show that is every mans fantasy under the guise of empowering women everywhere. Big buxomed women running around on the beach in LINGERIE on "Paradise Isalnd" where you're the only man, and the most beautiful princess has a crush on you. Give her some cool powers to defeat his enemies and save him. I wonder how it would of turned out if Russ Meyer had directed Wonder Woman.

  • JOYCE DANELEN FOR PRESIDENT.

    JOYCE DANELEN MS. U.S.A.

    JOYCE DANELEN IS BEAUTIFUL

  • Chloris Leachman, wow.. they were both wonderful in this clip. Thnx!

  • Can you believe the idea for a Wonder Woman TV show began in 1967 when they tried to put on a cheesy version? As a way to repeat the success of "Batman". Then in 1974 ABC aired a TV movie with Cathy Lee Crosby but it was so-so, so a year later the network tried another one-and this time with Lynda Carter in the role. It was success and led to two specials. A year later in 1976 it became a series and moved to CBS that fall.

  • I got it ! Obviously there is not a match in Wollywood yet and who knows when will be one mabe in few decades or a century the only way to do it now will be something like Avatar style, and Linda Carter can still playing her own voice!!!!!

  • i like both themes the 1940s and the present day,and there will only ever be one wonder woman immortalized in our hearts and thats Lynda carter ,,, just like christopher reeve as superman,,,they were born to play those roles.....paying homage to wonder woman without lynda carter would be a horrendous mistake

  • i like both themes the 1940s and the present day,and there will only ever be one wonder woman immortalized in our hearts and thats Lynda carter ,,, just like christopher reeve as superman,,,they were born to play those roles

  • The producers have changed her costume! The costume stands for different things and now the writers have changed it. Now they want to bring it to TV. We are being screwed as fans. I want to see her on the big screen. I think Angelina Jolie or Kathrine McPhee would be perfect to play her.

  • @JeffDevalle I haven't kept up on the new WW television series. I think it will flop or history repeating itself. Remember they did an early version of WW in a two hour movie, I heard the ratings were so bad, so they recast the actress and went with Carter, and put the character in the 40s, ect. I remember they approched Megan Fox too play WW and she thought the character was lame. My choice would be Jessica Biel or Sophia Bush. Both handle drama and comedy very well.

  • Beautiful. I truly belive that Lynda Carter is the most beautiful woman in Hollywood history. Others may have as beautiful a face but NO one has the face and what is , (alongside Raqeul Welch) , the best body in history!

  • WOW! A woman carrying a man!! AWESOME! This is one cool video, thanks!

  • SHE LOOKED BETTER WEARING THE SKIRT

  • ***** Super cool *****

  • well well. looks like ive got a boner

  • this show was the baywatch of the 1970s!

  • hmmm a symbol perhaps? well she's dressed in "red, white, and blue". I used to watch this all the time when it came out. Never missed a weekly episode if I was near a tv lol. Thanks for uploading! Great memories there :)!

  • Ahhh Miss WORLD USA , Irish dad and Mexican Mom

  • 8:26 he fell on that 1930s hood- i KNOW that hurt.. stuntman or NOT.

  • this is so pathetic

  • The whole video is great, but the closing credits at 8:11 are amazing. Good job!

  • This really was a 'groovy' theme song.

  • There is a mythology here over World War Two, this came out 30-years after the victory of the war; and the United States had 30-years of economic growth, aviation development, superhighways across America, and the success of the Moon landings and space program. Paradise Island opened up to the United States, and out comes Wonder Woman; instead of horrible island of the insane doctor of past generations, we get successful Paradise Island with Wonder Woman who fights with intelligence pilots.

  • The only person I can see to play Wonder Woman, is Bridget Regan (Legend of the Seeker) She is gorgeous and she can kick some serious butt. And Lynda Carter should play her mother, with maybe Sigorney Weaver as her mother. She needs to be kick ass. I hope they don't mess it up..

  • AMO A MULHER MARAVILHA

  • I always loved her. She is so beautiful I don't know how they will be able to make a "New" movie without her. I hear Megan Gale (model/actress from Austraila) is one of their first picks, she's pretty but can she act?

  • Man Linda Carter was SO FUCKING GORGEOUS back in the day!! :D

7:32-7:37 DAMN WHAT AN ASS! 8)

  • The trouble with many actresses, like Megan Fox, is that they're too short to play Wonder Woman, who should be nearly 6' tall. Lynda Carter was slightly over 5'9", and looked 1,000 times more like Wonder Woman than Cathy Lee Crosby ever could.

  • It's not an uncharted island....it's a mythical floating island.

  • I;m sure you have seen the "new" Wonder Woman. This is the 75th anniversary, two days before the 4th of July, they turn her into a Junior High girl, less the backpack. Never happened to a superhero before. Why, would you change the most perfect, beloved (by men especially) costume ever. It made her #1 on the Sci Fi women of all time. This new one, doesn't even look like a superhero outfit at all. Where do we protest this. If you know, let us know. This is worse than "New" Coke.

  • i want be the wonder woman!

  • Just a shame Lynda Carter isn't really this nice in person.

  • @MisterBlue24 I heard that too, Her husband then, who was also her agent I think, had Wagner's role cut down too a brief appearance or two. Plus I heard she was hard too work with on the set, her hair had too be perfect, ect., But i feel if her then-husband hadn't gotten involved in the series, and expand Wagner's role, it might of went on longer. And have better stories between the two characters. If they made a new series have Trevor know who WW is. much like Lois and Supes.

  • @hulkster46a Well, I finally got to meet her last year... a lifelong dream since the 70s, but it turned out to be the biggest disappointment of my life. I wish I had never met her now. She is not the person I thought she was, and I'm left with a memory of that day which still bothers me.

  • @MisterBlue24 Yeah, sorry your meeting with her went bad. I remember meeting my two favorie actors, at different times, One was Bill Bixby, he was one of the nicest actors you could meet. He was on his way too Yellowstone Park and stopped off too buy a wildlife photo or two from my late father. So while they were chatting I played with his son outside. Has he was leaving he asked if I wanted an autographed photo. "Sure!!! I said. So I still have it too this day. Sad what happened in his life.

  • @hulkster46a Wow! That's a really cool story, and it is sad what happened to him. I think when people go in search of meeting their "heroes" or the people they grew up with on tv, they really are taking a big risk. You don't know the person, and you don't know what they're really like - all you have to go by is their tv persona. It is a shame she was like that, but it's also good to know not all of them are.

  • @MisterBlue24 The other actor I met was the other half of the hulk. Lou Ferrigno. He was a guest poser at the Mr. Wyoming Contest in the early 90s. I got an autographed photo from him and shook his hand. So now the two autographed photos I have of them are side by side, along with an autographed hulk crew photo from Ken Johnson. Great memories. I think with some actors, when success goes too their head, like in Carters case, they step on the people that got them there. I heard that with Fox too.

  • @MisterBlue24 I remember an interview they did with Ferrigno back in the hulks heyday. He said She,(Carter), is has a beautiful body, but thats it. I agree with his evaluation of the show. There was no emotion, just her running around in a hero costume. And it was hard too relate too her. I agree, with the hulk you understand Banners plight. That was the main thrust of the show, too get cured.

  • DAMN Lynda was PERFECTION as the fresh-faced princess in violet from that first episode!!!!!!!! I still maintain that George Perez's re-vamp of the comic in the mid-80's was strongly influenced by her!!!!!! This must be why DC/Warner has had so much trouble in making a movie... I know it must have been tough in the cases of Supes and Bats, but those came along a lot faster!

  • hermosa lynda carter, a finales de los años 70's y principios de los 80´s...

wonder woman, lo maximo...ke cintura, ke sonrisa de angel

  • I never could stand watching this series.

  • those women are so hot.... i want them all..... :D~

  • I wish the producers had left her in the 1940s, when the show was moved to CBS. I felt some of the magic was gone between Diana and Steve Trevor Sr. In one CBS episode, they should of had Wagner play an aged Steve Trevor, complete with old age makeup, in a cameo. Who knew Diana's secret. But still have Wagner play his own son too. It would of added depth too the characters. And maybe rekindle the love between Steve Sr., and Wonder Woman.

  • I agree with you Hulkster, 100%! There was a secret emotional love affair going on and the flirtation between them was quite entertaining. I also thought that they could have used the '40's version as a teaching tool about WWII. All of that got wasted when they went "modern".

  • Yeah, near the end of the show, they didn't use Wagner hardly at all. If they had kept it in the 40s, and did a Lois and Clark feel too it, it probly would of went on longer.

  • But no one watched the 1940's version it had low ratings.

  • The first two specials after the pilot movie garnered enough ratings for them to greenlight the remainder of the season. The main problem with the show was that it was expensive to produce because of the need for period costumes, vehicles, etc. The ratings didn't compensate for the cost. I agree with everyone who prefers the first season set in the 40's. It's more comic book accurate and also, Wonder Woman looks prettier. In the shows set in the 70's she looks rather hard.

  • @belasco2 I like her costume in the 70s, when compared too the 40s version. But when they moved her too the 70s, it lost allot of its magic. They should of kept it in the 40s, and develop a lois and clark feel too it betwen the two characters.

  • @DustersInc The only thing I liked about the 70s version was that they made her costume more form fitting. I remember one episode I watched with my dad when she was hanging upside down. I think he and I were waiting for something too pop out. lol. I wonder if it happened and theres a blooper on it? lol. Probly not. She was the crush of allot of teenaged boys. I was one of them. In its heyday, WW and Charlies Angels kept allot of teenaged boys home at nite. I ought too know,I was one of them.lol

  • @hulkster46a That's not a bad idea.

  • @hulkster46a I just wish producers would make a period piece out of any comic book movie. Of any character. Golden Age Wonder Woman or Silver Age Green Lantern, for example. I think putting heroes back in their heyday adds a dimension that's missing from contemporary comic book films.

  • @hulkster46a I agree comepletely. this was the best of the series.

  • @hulkster46a agreed, the original series was the best and, aside from the pilot, the series that treated the concept the most seriously. Despite it only being half a season, it will always be my favorite. I hear they're making a new series now, but without the costume and traditional story. I think it will be too painful to watch.

  • @hulkster46a I really liked what you worte. I agree with you. When they moved the show to CBS, it lost something. Steve was now 30 years younger than Diana, and there was no longer that "secret love" that they had for each other. I wish they would have left it in the 40's because it really lost something moving to a more modern time. Imagine had they done that with Happy Days? Can you imagine the Happy Days cast in the 70's? Well, since it was made in the 70's, I guess we can imagine it! lol

  • @Beautifulmusiclistnr Your welcome, I grew up on WW and all of the scifi shows of the 70s and 80s. My overall fav is The Incredible Hulk. I heard they are remaking the show for a new generation. The Hulk will be a combination of puppetry and cgi. I remember a recent interview with Lou Ferrigno. He said the real hulk can sign autographs, a cgi hulk can't

  • @hulkster46a Good point! I just noticed that I can't spell "wrote" according to my original post. I grew up with The Incredible Hulk, Wonder Woman, The Bionic Woman, The Six MDMan, and Charlie's Angels. Of course, the Angels weren't Sci-fi. I wish the producers of today would stop trying to do remakes. They're never the same, and they're never as good. There's only one Lynda Carter, and there's only one Lou Ferrigno.

  • @hulkster46a

    ^^^

Check this nerd out...would you know Linda's breasts if they were right in front of your face?

  • @TooSlim73 Carter was in a movie called, "Billie Jo and the Outlaw, Or Bobby Jo and the outlaw," about the time she started on Wonder Woman. It was her first nude scene. But yes I would know Lynda Breast if they were right in front of my face. lol

  • The scenes where she reveals herself to be Diana, and also, where she says goodbye to her mother, are so moving. Lynda Carter acted it with such sincerity, it's hard to believe this was her first acting job. The beautiful and haunting music by Charles Fox helped as well.

  • I agree that she looked different in the seasons set in the 70s. She was still beautiful but she looked younger and thinner in the first season. I don't know if it was the lighting, makeup, or the hairdo changes from the later seasons but she definitely looked different somehow.

  • Excellent job! Great editing! And, the shots you picked for the end montage were well thought out and very exciting! I like how you used a lot of the iconic glamor shots from the first season, like the Bullets and Bracelets shot and the Tiara Toss shot.. Made me wish I were watching new episodes today! Thanks for the great memories!

  • what a nice festival...I want to be there...

  • Pause at 23 seconds

    Wonder Woman is asking him,

"Now that your'e tied up, what do you want me to do to you?"

  • que saudades desse tempo das tardes em frente a tv assistindo pena que acabou mas e lindo nunca perdi um capitulo

  • A man on our island!!!!????

    Fuck that shit!

  • this show was soooo awesome!

  • Wonder Work !!! My first big crush was Linda Carter and i knew i was a gay teen boy lol

  • @maohuerta ME 2!!!!!!! Being a little black boy growing up in the housing projects in the '70s I didn't come in contact with many white people, but I thought Linda Carter was the prettiest white woman I had ever seen! Hell she was the prettiest WOMAN period, And I Knew I was gay too!!!!

  • @maohuerta i think divine would be more your style. ha ha

  • @66budge And like every gay teen I learn soon how to deal and get rid of stupid people just like you, ha ha !

  • This is really excellent! Great job!

  • oh man linda carter is beautiful! even if they make a wonderwoman movie today they aint gona b anyone like her! shit n their considering lindsay lohan to play her! no fucken way!

  • that preferente video the WW

  • Wonderfully done.

  • have you ever seen the blonde lawyer on law and order, she is Lynda Carter with blonde hair, she even sounds like Lynda Carter, I hope they dont mess the movie up, the movie she should be kick ass....

  • running on the beach in a nightie was never so sexy!!

  • in the early comics, the "skirt" was actually loose culottes (which looked skirt-like) ^_^

  • she never uses the skirt does she??

  • No, only in the early comics.

  • Well, since the "reboot" in 1987, she sometimes has a skirt for various occasions. The skirt was changed in 1942 into shorts.

  • BILTF

  • Congratulations. Amazing!!!

  • Lynda Carter played Chloe Sullivan's mom in SMALLVILLE!

  • ufff so beautiful and sexy...lynda, ww, diana, pure beauty !!!

it will never be somebody who can replace this ww.

they will try, i hope we can watch a new entertainment movie about her, soon.

but lynda you are the best.

    from argentina.

    yours.

  • leachman was ww mom and so was mortia from the adams family lol,,, and is it me or is Rita a drag queen???? she looks very manly lol

  • notice they didnt know what a parashute,, no its a giant jelly fish that just ate steve trever lol loved it

  • Real surprise to see Cloris Leachman act with some degree of conviction. Usually hams it up nowadays. Showed some real gravitas despite the material. No knock on WW there. Just illustrating my wonder at Leachman's skill--no pun intended.

  • Oh ya baby that would be Paradise Island!

  • OMG!!!!!!Cloris Leachman!!!! Was Wonder Woman's Mother?

  • only in this episode

  • Fanastic!

  • I hope they get Linda Carter to play Hippolyta(sp), Wonder Woman's mother, in the feature film.

  • I, too hope the same.

  • No true feminist would call another woman a skank. Wonder woman tried to explain woman-solidarity to that nazi later DID YOU LEARN NOTHING TRANURSE?

  • no, i just think it hurts the rest of us, when other women act stupid. we spend so much time working, and trying to prove that we capable, competant, and just as good as any man. too many girls try to emulate britney spears, and have to deal with horrible reprecussions at an age when they are so not ready. young girls need role models that teach them they can do anything they want, not shake their behind and look trashy. nothing wrong with being pretty/sexy, but have something to say.

  • when i was little, we had good role models. wonder woman, the bionic woman, even police woman. now all girls have is britney, and crap like that. we learned to be independent and strong. now they are learning to be skanks. it is a shame.

  • You are so right about that, Its so true, now adays girls look at the Britney Spears etc. the 70s was a great decade i was kid, just a few tv channels showing good programmes, now we have hundreds of channels showing crap.

  • GREAT JOB

  • Each of the actresses who played the Queen Mother reflected the tone of series at the time of her appearance. Cloris Leachman was classy, regal, top-notch, like the pilot.

Carolyn Jones, later in season 1, was engaging, broader, sitcomy fun. And Beatrice Straight was colder, distant and kind of blah, much like the CBS version of WW.

  • How could you leave out the 'Bullets and Bracelets' scene! That scene turned a whole generation of young boys GAY.

  • Don't be so stupid.

  • Wonderful! LOVE IT!!!!

  • If they ever make a movie, it has to have these elements in it and be set in the 1940s, WWII. Kickin' Nazi butt. Can't go wrong with that. The first season was the best!

    Great tribute.

  • I agree with you.

  • i wish they made more episodes of the ist season

  • Nice editing on this one!

  • great tribute!

  • FABOULOUS¡¡¡¡¡

  • Your tribute is to season 1 (ABC), but you used the theme from season 2 (CBS).

  • Hi. Actually the theme is from season 1. My opening (shortened version) is from the closing credits of the pilot episode while the montage at the end of my video is from the opening credits of season 1. Thanks for watching & posting.

  • Yes, you close the video with the season 1 theme, but the opening music is definatly the music & lyric from season 2. The cartoon opening is a mix of the ABC & CBS cartoon panals. I like how you blended the two together.

  • Ahh, first - you are right about the panels. I needed some extra filler for that opening cartoon so I borrowed a few from the first episode of season 2. Good eye in spotting that! I was hoping it would be seemless. And for the song - I had to check on that myself (it had been so long since I made it) and you are right about that too!!! I now remember I used the song from the closing credits of season 2 ep. 1 due to the alternate lyric. I stand corrected. Thanks for pointing that out.

  • Great tribute! Ur awesome.

  • Thank you.

  • It's a man! What will all us women do with a man?

  • its not a parashute its a giant jellyfish for god sakes that has ate a man lol,, even after 30 years i still can watch this over and over

  • Who else wanted to see the momma spin and show her powers??? LOL I always wanted to see her in action.
