doing what this video shows already does that, the only difference between this one and the one i was going to remake is that instead of leaving the sound out of the .avi file, you add it in virtual dub.

@Gamah1991 it doesnt for me. I tried avi and there was nothing new in my folder. and even with ttga I get no wav file so I had to extract my own gamesounds somehow.. fraps?

virtual dub is a compiling/rendering/editing program

in this tutorial it is used to compile the hundreds/thousands of .tga files into a single .avi file

FRAPS only records as fast as your hard drive can write... at 720p on most people's computers that's 20-30 fps max, that's terrible source video to edit with, especially when you try to do slow motion. FRAPS also compresses the video, which makes it look like shit when you compress it yet again.

take a look at a few of my CSS clips, see if you can reproduce similar looking videos... you won't be able to with fraps.

I dont understand ... i have vegas pro 9.0 ... when i try to open File 1 its saying .. warning : an error occured while opening one or mores files .. the apllication doesn't support this file type

hold control in vegas and drag it.

alternatively you go to video -> Framerate -> and set it to your render framerate.

ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh it didnt work when in sony vegas would only let me pull it back to a certain length. not to the audio. any help? PLEASE

you can add the audio in virtualdub. "add source from file"

and then change the video framerate to match the audio length.

sorry, im new to virtual dub would u mind telling me how? and the video when it is done rendering it is still in slo mo... so when it is in vegas i have a video file this long---------- with an audio this long --- and i can only drag video back to this long-----

thanks for the tut, and a easier way to delete hold shift press 1st file and while holding shift still scroll down and find last file click is then right click delete :)
