Hey bro i really like it. I did the samething with analog joystick and DC motors and it was not precise enough for my Pan Tilt Head for filming in church.
I want to make Pan Tilt Head using Digital Joystick and stepper motors to trigger On and Off stepper motors and than controlling direction and speed just like u did. I love it.
