To be honest, that's one of the first things that changed after I made this video. I found out that the heavily flavoured ones don't taste like beer at all and are in fact somewhat edible :-P
Oficcially I'm roman catholic (you're from bavaria, you know how it is, they basically drag you into it when you're too young to fight back). In my brain I'm atheist. In my heart I'm a hippie. There you go! :-)
I'm still not sure if truth or dare and spin the bottle are the same things... Because we played that a lot in my childhood/adolescence. Both involve being randomly chosen by a bottle but I never had to do anything else but kiss people and never had the option to tell the truth, so I guess it's two different things...
truth or dare is not spin he bottle. a dare could be anything, and sometimes kisses are involved, but mostly it's just crazy things you have to do. truth is just another opportunity to lie, but I never did.
Yeah, that's what I didn't get about that game... you could just LIE, what's the big deal?! Anyway, as I said, never played truth or dare. I'm kind of worried all the time that all of a sudden a memory jumps into my mind screaming "Hahaha, you did do your Never #8 [randomly chosen number!!!], you just couldn't remember!" :-D
OK - finally counted them up. We agree on 17 items, if you include a regular freeway as an Autobahn. Damn - I thought I'd have done way more than that! Maybe I have lessons to learn from AericWinter...
OK - maybe we can team up to see how many of Anna's 'nevers' we can fix at 888. Bonus points for doing them at the same time - for example, I reckon we could knock over rollercoaster, ear piercing and naked on camera all in one go.
Wellll, I don't believe in any church-stuff but I'm pretty sure your plan would work out: If you spent the next 20 years doing nothing but mumbling strange words, I'm pretty sure there wouldn't be any time or chance to sin x-D
[Actually I like saturday evenings when they meet in church to pray the rosary... I don't know the words any more but it's very relaxing to sit there and listen to the almost chant-like murmurs. Very Zen!]
Me too honigmaeulchen! Really, I'm an agnostic, but having been brought up a Catholic and got over my teenage rebellion against the church, I find going to the occasional Mass, or like you just sitting in church, nostalgic and kind of restful.
I guess those of us brought up RC seem often seem to be tied to the church, in one way or another.
The "never's" are better than the "done's" of the 50 persuasion. It's a lot more interesting trying to imagine that people haven't done some things and trying to figure out how they are different because they haven't. It usually sparks many more, "Oh! That's why they don't act so-and-such."
Well, thank you. My first teachers were called Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Chandler, Joey and Ross. They published a quite succesful set of DVDs, maybe you even know them in America ;-P
Seriously, all my English skills emerged from watching - mostly American - TV shows. Weeeell, and reading Harry Potter maybe :-D
Ok, now that's interesting. My sister stated that she had done 17 of my nevers (see comment above), which brings her to 33 nevers, too! I wonder if you meant exactly the same things... I already told her it would be fun if she made a video wherein she's watching my video with headphones on so that nobody else would hear what I say and then she'd drink everytime I stated something she already did. The viewer would have to put both videos together to figure out which are the ones she did.
Sadly she wasn't very impressed by that idea. Mainly because as it turned out she didn't know the actual real life 'I never' game... A group of people trying to get the others drunk as fast as possible... or themselves. Whatever.
Yeah, I came to the same conclusion at 3 a.m. after 5 hours of filming and editing and dealing with windows movie maker crashes and screaming and crying and having several mental breakdowns.
^^ Freut mich dass ich zumindest übers Internet Leute glücklich machen kann. Mitmenschen, die meine Art 24/7 ertragen müssen, sind da etwas anderer Ansicht als du :-P
Ha, great facts! I believe the gaming term you were looking for to match World of Warcraft is an MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game).
Yes!!! Thank you, that's exactly the term I was looking for! I read it somewhere before but my brain just can't handle that much umlauts in one word, I guess.
Aww, you really think my English sounds good? I don't like my German accent at all. My big role model is speedyconkiwi... If I could talk English like she does I'd make a video every day just to hear myself speak :-D
Urmm, my well thought through and cut together videos may evoke a wrong idea of my English speaking skills. If I had to talk to any English speaking person spontanously, it would rather sound like: 'Oh, hi! How did you... uuuuhm... wait... I mean... what... the word I'm looking for is... how... OH CRAP!'
Haben Sie gesehen, wie Schlechtes mein Deutscher ist? Ich kann nicht Ihre englischen Fähigkeiten kritisieren!
If it wasn't for Babelfish and Leo, I'd be screwed! People keep commenting on my videos in German, so I have to work hard just to figure out what's going on. One day maybe hanging out in Germany so much will mean I learn some of the language...
LOL! Like the Americans and the Russians on the International Space Station!
Yes, it would be VERY silent from my end, because I only know enough German to catch a bus and buy lunch. Mostly I just point a lot. Hmmm... maybe with the video link, I can just point at stuff as the conversation. You'll need a lot of props though.
I must count up my 'Nevers' from this video. My brother has played the real game. It gets VERY messy.
I guess there are 'nevers' in this video that I don't feel the urge to change to 'evers', don't you think? I'll try to do all the stuff on the list that I'd really like to do and next year same time post a video talking about my experiences. Then I could round up the list to 50 facts again and start a new cycle. Sounds like fun!
Ok, I went through the list and from what I know about you, I found 8 things I could imagine you never did. DOES THIS MEAN YOU SAW TWO GIRLS ONE CUP?!?!?!? ;-P
Alas, I have seen it as well, and I think the Internet has really desensitized me because I don't remember being in shock or running to the toilet. *shrugs* maybe it's a freak thing.
Nope, I didnt film it. To be honest, my response wasn't that useful for a video. Probably because I had seen so many reactions-videos first, it didn't shock me that much. And Mike makes a good point too ; )
Aren't we all a little bit weird? I like it, normal is so boring. Maybe I'll call them roommates one last time in one of my next videos. Then you'll know that I did it just for you!
Well, Sam's American. But he's from Texas, maybe they're special :-P
Does this mean I'll have to disclose my 51st 'never' after all? Or does the fact that I'm drinking a LOT of tea make me British enough to get away with thinking one doesn't say 'roommate'?
Do you mean that stuff Germans drink, where they grab a handful of herbs from the garden, stuff them into little bags and then pour boiling water on them? And it ends up tasting like hot water into which some blades of grass have been dipped?
That's not *tea*. Tea is an aromatic herb from Asia, and prepared with loving care to produce a wonderfully flavoursome beverage, the famed cup which cheers but not inebriates.
Brilliant videos. Very amusing. Your English is amazing. Please use the occasional German expression (and explain its meaning) as I love hearing German being spoken.
You can also say: house mates (shared house or Big Brother game show contests.)Room mates (shared accommodation like a college's halls of residence or a shared house. You can even say hall mates for students living in halls). And there's flat mate (someone sharing your flat with you. Most likely a friend who's found himself or herself homeless after being kicked out by their parents).
I like the definition of flat mate even though judging by it I never had one. People in my environment seem to be willing to leave home voluntarily. I wish I was living alone so that I could invite kicked-out people to stay with me...
You know what? For such an amount of things never done which altogether would turn almost anyone else into a totally unlikable socio-incompatible freak, you're the most pleasant, cutest person of them all. In this very moment I could really just grab you, hug you and cuddle you.
... And - no, for sure I don't want to hear some witty comment from you turning this into comedy again, I meant this. Seriously. So the adequate response for you would be a deeply touched sigh. And nothing else. XOXOX
Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuhmmmmmmmm... Let's just pretend this person here never wrote any comment to this video because she doesn't know me. At all. And most important not better than I do myself.
Well anyway, thanks for always liking my videos (unlike the other person that doesn't know me at all either and is also called sister).
Yes, the sad thing is that I fooled myself (again!), believing that even if every fact took me 1 minute to record, I'd still be finished in an hour. Thinking about that naivety now, I can only say: Muahuahuahuahuahust.
The original version was 9 minutes long. Then I started to cut out the 'uuuuhm's. There you go! ;-)

Sometimes in Truth or Dare, the improved lies were worse than the sheer, plain truth.
And if you've got some bad liars at the table, it's too easy to tell. There's just this atmosphere of peer pressure to tell the truth.
I remember lying only once at truth or dare and I believed it to be true at the time.

There goes our soulm8z4evah status, Anna. Again.
I only counted four (4!) nevers that we have in common.
Oh wait, make that three. Since I have met you in real life, and you just played the never game, I guess that's another never less.
So I have done 47 things that you have never done? I must be one of those boys your mother used to warn you about.
One thing's for sure, though. I will never, NEVER participate in any MMORPG of any kind. Not too sure about the pet or the tattoo, though.
AericWinter 3 years ago
Ok, if I get this right, the three things you didn't do were participating in a MMORPG, getting a tatoo and having a pet.
That means you have been naked in front of a camera and had longer hair than me. Please prove those two points in a very special video response.
honigmaeulchen 3 years ago
There's no need. It's all there.
Remember my video "Utter Silence", which your dad didn't like? Yep, exactly.

... And - no, for sure I don't want to hear some witty comment from you turning this into comedy again, I meant this. Seriously. So the adequate response for you would be a deeply touched sigh. And nothing else. XOXOX

I'm tempted to say it's the birth year that joines us... but sadly Kiwi's comment annihilated that theory even before it could be stated.

Anywhere that has all of the missing items!! (OK, except for any icky ones) - I'm sure we could get through most of them in a week or two! ;P

Four years younger and 17 nevers less than you :P (18 if you want to count America)
But wait.
You never player truth or dare?? What's up with you!
And you DID send on chain letters, remember that "how well do you know me"-thingy?
Guess you've got to tell us the sex-thing now :D
Well anyway, nice editing again!

Wow, 50 neverrrs in 6 an' a half minutes, not bad. But I guess it took you hours to record that, eh? Good job anyway!
Redfrettchen 3 years ago
Yes, the sad thing is that I fooled myself (again!), believing that even if every fact took me 1 minute to record, I'd still be finished in an hour. Thinking about that naivety now, I can only say: Muahuahuahuahuahust.
The original version was 9 minutes long. Then I started to cut out the 'uuuuhm's. There you go! ;-)
