I am vt fighter but i agree in general with you.But also there is a truth for every fighter of any system in areal fight.You can use whatever you want,there is the surprise factor and usually trere is no just one enemy.So i would hit however i like and wouldn't prefer go to the groung.

Knock someone out, beat them up, or kill them. weight is important, but so is speed and accuracy. punch is always just a punch, the thing is, can you afford to trade punches? restraint is a luxury, and if you cannot afford it, don't lie to yourself. it'll get you killed.

With all the talk of every fight ending on the ground, first off is not true. That was perpetuated by groundfigters in the early days of UFC so you would go to grappling schools. The bulk of my experience comes from 6 years of fighitng to defend myslef in the streets so i know. No matter how many fights ogo to the ground, they all start standing too. For general knowledge, i have backgrounds both in staup and groundfighting arts and have no preference other than truth in combat.
Yes i agree that not all fights go to the ground but what bjj has proven is that, if you are a skilled bjj guy, you can "take" someone to the ground. Make him fight your fight and then submit him, break his arm.
Like a good striker, he can keep the fight standing and make you fight his fight, whihc he will then finish you off.
So it means even if you didnt want to go to the ground, a bjj guy can "take" you there.

Problem with WT crap is they rarely if ever spar all out, & usually don't tran with top people outside WT. Problem with Wint Tsun against otrher styles is it's not a sport. MMA is a sport and rarely is serious damage done. With Wing tsun the focus is on doing damage within 2-3 seconds with a blitz attack. Can you withstand 10 straightline punches to your throat per second?

I trained in 1980 at combat martial arts at Batley west yorkshire England we used to do the sticking hand technique but 1 or both blind fold ,you really get a feel and find a flow to the body etc .

I think it's safe to say that we all know better than to think there is only one or two aspects to fighting but how you do something depends on what you want to do. Knock someone out, beat them up, or kill them. weight is important, but so is speed and accuracy. punch is always just a punch, the thing is, can you afford to trade punches? restraint is a luxury, and if you cannot afford it, don't lie to yourself. it'll get you killed.

lol.. So many words about Master Emin, from people who never fought. No one can judge before he fight himself with Emin. I weigh 62 kilos, and i fought against 120 kg enemies of high quality russian fighters. And I can say. If you think that weight does everything in the fight, so you never fought well. And you'll neve be fighting well. I'm not WT fighter, but i spared with this MA master, in it was very hard fight, so I respect WT warriors if they so well skilled in their art.

With all the talk of every fight ending on the ground, first off is not true. That was perpetuated by groundfigters in the early days of UFC so you would go to grappling schools. The bulk of my experience comes from 6 years of fighitng to defend myslef in the streets so i know. No matter how many fights ogo to the ground, they all start standing too. For general knowledge, i have backgrounds both in staup and groundfighting arts and have no preference other than truth in combat.

Yes i agree that not all fights go to the ground but what bjj has proven is that, if you are a skilled bjj guy, you can "take" someone to the ground. Make him fight your fight and then submit him, break his arm.
Like a good striker, he can keep the fight standing and make you fight his fight, whihc he will then finish you off.
So it means even if you didnt want to go to the ground, a bjj guy can "take" you there.

yea i think chi sau is fun to do but other than that, in a real life situation i dont think it would be much good.. i would basically look at trying to immobilize the guy asap.. Problem with WT crap is they rarely if ever spar all out, & usually don't tran with top people outside WT. Any good MMA fighter would run right through Emin Boztepe like he's nothing, well known Bas Rutten challenged him face to face and Emin literally shat his pants (visible stains were seen on seat of his pants after it). Worse spending many hours on Chi Sau BS & nice drills vs a MMA fighter fighting all the time & training hard.

Problem with Wint Tsun against otrher styles is it's not a sport. MMA is a sport and rarely is serious damage done. With Wing tsun the focus is on doing damage within 2-3 seconds with a blitz attack. Can you withstand 10 straightline punches to your throat per second?

If you wanna look like a decent person for about 5 secs. while people spend reading your shit, try to lie less. It would be interesting to put equally trained people of different styles against eachother and then see the outcome. I would expect that the difference in capabilities will decrease if training and skill (in each own's style) is held constant.

I trained in 1980 at combat martial arts at Batley west yorkshire England we used to do the sticking hand technique but 1 or both blind fold ,you really get a feel and find a flow to the body etc .

Master George Xu told me personally that in China, it is never considered good to be on the ground... not that he represents everyone. i have to agree about concrete and multiple attackers... i tried in street and ended up hurting myself more than opponent... thank god only one of him.
