Bravo! My hat is off to you gentlemen. I have never heard to big band organs attempt a duet. I have done this with my little street organ and know how difficult this can be. Good job.
Bearing mind here we have two average sized street organs, a total of what, 400 pipes, maybe 40 reeds, something like that, playing a tune from the Netherlands. Here the organs are also in the middle of a field, rather than in a tented bioscope show. Not much like a 112 KEYLESS Gavioli in a bioscope show.
I think you made that comment from a book you read possibly. It seems to be the typical sort of thing you read in books about organs. Im making a fairly good guess you've never seen a 112 Key/Keyless organ ever so you're not really in any position to pass comments.
I also seem to guess you're a friend of the famous Justin Senneff. Both of you, know what your talking about before you talk complete fiction.
Similar age, both just a bit too religious, both from America, both talk utter rubbish. And the fact you are both friends on YouTube, it gave it away.
Justin, unfortunately I have not been blessed with the ability to believe or the will to follow a religion. I do absolutely respect others are religious, thats their own choice, but sometimes Justin, you can take religion a bit too far. It somehow is brought up in every topic. Even your YouTube names are about religion! And the American bit, you are American aren't you? Thought So!
Well if you ask my pal gaviolitom,[and dacatholicbandorgan] you will read the most saddest stories of mechanical organs that have been desicrated at the hands of disney corp.
A fair amount of beer was consumed before undertaking this challenge, however, the same trick was performed on the Saturday whilst sober and they kept in perfect time with eachother, i have been told. Unfortunately, i was not there to hear that attempt. Anyway, i was hugely impressed, i have cranked both those organs and the Gasparini has to be cranked much faster to keep the same speed, so the whole thing was done purely on hearing only.
Great video Graham, Jan Kees & Louis did a great job of synchronising the 2 organs.
It certainly was a very pleasant end to the Steam Fair. Big thanks to Rob Harris, Shane Seagrave & co for organising another superb after show party. :-)
Well done guys...keeping in time like that. Who needs MIDI to drive two instruments together!

A great bit of fun, after a wonderful GDSF once again......but just imagine how better it would have sounded had they played in the same key!

"Friends" that's the best you could do?
dacatholicbandorgan 2 years ago
Perhaps not a 112 gavoli, but a huge sized dutch street organ that needs serious tuning.
