  • It's the same sound as any turbine powered helicopter or jet engine starting up! It's the sweetest sound!

  • Ham Air........... how's the air Up there?

  • Why does the sticky out black spinning thingies at the front keep slowing down?

  • the fps of the camera is lower than than the time of the blades to moves and the "sticky out black spinning thingies" are called propellers :) fps means frames per second

  • Propelleros! Ah yes, I have herd. Good. They go slow and what they do?

  • Thank you for that explanation Dolphin. It is complicated for me to understand. Is it a vacuum cleaner inside the airplane that blows the black spinners around because it sounds like my hoover at the beginning of the film? If so why blow those thing around? Do they help the airypln fly at all? Sorry for my ignorants. My brother told me to ask questions if I don't understnand. I left school at 9 years old.

  • @arthurmee It's a bit of a late reply, but I'll explain. There's a leafblower in the back, which blows out air to push the plane forward. The propeller is being moved by a stream of air sucked into the plane by the vacuum cleaner in the front. The air that comes out of the vacuum cleaner is first filtered by the GPS (Great Particle Stopper), and then led into the leafblower. Every once in a while the ATC (Airplane Tinkering Crew) will have to replace the GPS because it is full of particles.

  • @pingpongpung Thank you. I wish someone had explained this very sensible description to me before. I knew there was a vacuum cleaner but had no idea leafblowers were employed and great particle stoppers sound like awesome pieces of kit. My brother was right. if you don't know something, ask questions.

  • @pingpongpung Thank you. At last someone talking sense . . . a wondeful explanation. :)

  • They arent slowing down, it just looks like it because the camera being used to film this only shows a limited number of frames per second so it gives that illusion.

  • Beauty!!!

  • Sweet. I lusted over the Malibu when I was younger. Aircraft like that are in lottery winning territory for me though.
