@MsJacobgarth You are not in sin for that at all mate. But weather you are are gay or straight to openly display lewd conduct or to practise unsafe sex with multiple partners to fill the walls of public toilets with disgusting messages and then have sexual relations in those same dirty germ ridden disease infected cubicles AND I AM NOT SAYING YOU ARE LIKE THIS well anyone who lives that way is living in sin and do nothing for your comunity
because they are all human beings! they have human names, live in human homes, eat human food, human body forms, they speak like a human, they perform human actions they just have different values and beliefs, its about LOVE not whats right and whats wrong, what if you were straight and not allowed to date someone and had to marry them straight away the second you fall in love with them. it the same but a different way around!
moral of the story is we are all equally HUMANS who deserve to love.
why is it i get a feeling you would be a lonely person sitting at home depressed because you can't find love?
im not a homosexual or bi, but I'm not a homophobe, if anything homsexual people are the most accepting people / H U M A N . B E I N G S ever to become of this earth, and your right THEYRE NOT NORMAL, THEIR LIMITED EDITION WHICH IS WHAT MAKES THEM SO VALUABLE! because they have more accepting morals then we straight people do, i believe they should be treated the same
@WhySoSerious347 Seriously how can you treat people the same when they demand to be treated different. The gay community will take marriage and turn it into a side show of their own pushing their sexuality into the faces of the public forcing one to accept the ease in which they swap sexual partners. If I am proud to be a hetro I am branded a homophobe. The facts are that 90 percent of the gay community discriminate against hetro people.
@WhySoSerious347 i agree with you on one think but it still not natural or how we are made. what youve said pretty much testifies that all people have their battles/ challenges in life in my personal belief thats why god sent us here.
@sashcakesx mate they have the right to love to share a life buy houses aquire wealth and then choose what to do with this but NO marrige is not a right they have because it was created for a man and a women lobby for legislation that gives the same legal standing but call it someting else make it your own we have different relationshps so therefore the legal piece of paper that means a couple is seen as one in the eyes of the law should go by a different name.
This is the most disgusting event in the world it shows just how messed up the gay and lesbian community is to think that they deserve the same rights as NORMAL men and women. So NO we should never recognise marrige between two men or two women as marrige is a celebration of love between a man and a women and from there they start a family in the wayu that nature has decided by having sex concieving and then 9 months later a lovely child is born.
Mardi Gras is near so it should teach you all how to respect everyone: animals, children, bitches, spazmos, mingers, lezzers, fatty boombahs, and even gaylords. So, to all you lot watching this, but mainly to the normal people, respect.
Unbelievable and disgraceful that Sydney supports perversion and unnatural behaviour. Why the constant emphasis and fixation on sex in this affront to normal people?
Good video, very nice to see, but I believe the event needs to show other things than clubs, drinking and dance. But gay couples and their families, friends and kids. Also making it a fun day for all involved :):)
Well Mardi Gras I couldn't agree more its the reason I go every year and have since I turned 18.
Bring on the Love Mardi gras and Bring on the Love Sydney and show the world that our Love will never be taken away we are here and Yes we are Fabulous. Happy Mardi Gras 2012 and see you all on the Dance floors and the streets March 3rd 2012. XXX

@DelvilishDareDevil my user name relates to a certain car type i enjoy driving.. human rights? your the one having a go at me for my freedom of speech. all i'll do is to encourage you to think about it, is it natural or is has this world that we live in influenced men woman for the worst? im sure your good people but everyone has their battles and i think its our duty to help one another.
@evolution3man lol it's great for you to imply God's will for humanity in your judgmental comment, but isn't it he who said we are not the ones to judge? Isn't Jesus who taught nothing but love and acceptance of all? Not to be NASTY, but are you the ONE that lives without "sin"? I think not. Get real, and get real about GOD. If you knew God personally you wouldn't be leaving these nasty hateful words on a public forum. You would be leaving words of love and encouragement. Because GOD LOVES ALL!
@jas4764 hi im pretty sure i stated i wasnt being a hater. not sure how you thought i was being nasty..?? just said that i thought people were gay due to confusion and to be honest you can see why so many people would be with the way the world is, everything just seems to be all about sex and getting rich. Yes i believe in god and yes i dont think he would be pleased but ill do my part to encourage you to think about it. maybe you just gave up too quickly.
My husband & I are going to Sydney Mardi Gras next year & we are counting down the days... It looks FABULOUS ! Down with the haters, bitter sad c**ts who would know fun, humanity & acceptance if it bit them in the ass... Let's party like there's no tomorrow people !!!!!!! Ken & Mark.
I'm not gay but i think gay people are some of the most entertaining friendly people you will ever meet. Who is one person to tell another who they can't fuck or marry or what ever! If your a dude and you feel like sucking a cock then go do it! Same for lesbians, no one who is against gays and lesbians has there shit together, trust me.
It always puzzles me why people watch these types of videos when they are clearly not interested, and then leave hateful comments. It's like they have nothing better to do..
Opinion is one thing, but, to accuse others of what you are putting forth is derogative to those you lambaste as well as yourself. I enjoy going to MardiGras, one thing that i dislike from the parade is the drunk people. i was otw back to my friend's apt, and suddenly a beer bottle flied above my head.yup, apparently a drunk person can't locate where the bin is. lucky the bottle hit the floor, not other people's head.
random thing, i remember those guys in 1:50 i took some picts of their group =D
@hasher22 not really, i called my caucasian friends white all the time so i can not see the problem with the reverse, may not be political correct but far from being racist
Yellow came form the war with the Japanese. The caucasians will call the Japanese 'yellow' to describe their skin colour and a way to offend them. In this day, term yellow to desribe an asian in align with black and white is quite 'normal' now as i believe not may people know where the term yellow came from.
@ironmanicarus - i kind of agree with you. Im gay as well and can't stand the parade anymore. It has lost its original meaning and makes us all look like dancing queens. The party on the other hand, is just another party. Who doesn't like to go out and let their hair down and enjoy themselves? If it wasn't the Mardi Gras party, it'd be something else. But lets not forget, there is a part of the straight community that does the exact same thing - just not the parade.
I know that mardigras is known for its parties etc, but as a queer myself I am happy that we have a global event which allows us to express and be heard :). I know some people think it is just a huge sex party, but I doubt that everyone goes for that reason. I am so keen to go once school is over, so I can be part of a statement that even heterosexuals enjoy :)
@TylerJames1996 you cant wait to finish school, because you want to go mardi gras? Lol you are the biggest fag of them all. good thing you never came to my school, you would have got some sense beat into you kid, plus no one would hang around you :D
@AH7012 Mate You serious? Beat me up? Did your father beat you as a kid? What happened to your upbringing? Its OK if your gay to. Do some more research of the mardigras before you say stuff that you have no knowledge on brah.
Initially the Mardi Gras was to say to the world that gay people are around and they have a right to be around. The first parade in fact resulted in many arrests...just for being gay. So good things have come about since then. Bigotry and hatred by mindless groups and individuals continues no matter what you do of course.
@carlmonteverdi thanks man! don't forget to mention the boppy dance routines and the goodwill and lighthearted rapport being expressed as well. (^c,^)
I was a horden boy who was straight and loved Mardi Gras and Sleazeball but what has always amazed me was when the straight community was excluded from events in the ninties when it was at its peak. No Bobby Goldsmith, no access. For me that was the beginning of the slide. I hope when it gets successful again the bad lessons of the past are remembered. Boys only in the dome was great for gays and straights........
@tNJippoes It just got way too big mate. there were lots of people excluded, if you werent a member(gay or otherwise) you couldnt even buy a ticket. I know plenty of gay people that missed out on going through those peak years. I suppose that is what happens when you do something that is just so completely fantastic, everyone wants a bit.
Some of these sad cases that are posting so negatively could well benefit from a night out at the showgrounds eh! It could re-define there narrow sad lives
@NicksandSlick Guys totally agree many of the sad sacks here need a good night out partying. Look my point was because something is successful you still shouldn't exclude based on sexuality though. Surely it is first in first served or open a new pavilion. Surely you could see the irony in discriminating based on sexuality?
@roidroid Its funny how fags always say god made me he must love me
well on that basis does he love rockspyders ( the majority of whom are gay or bisexual) rapists murderers ?? Funny that all the worlds worst criminals were gay or bi
Face the facts your entire existance is based on sex with as many partners as you can get. I have worked in gay clubs shared houses with gay men and women and I have seen this with my own eyes. I
It wouldn't surprise me if a lot of antisocial criminals were closet cases, projecting their internalised homophobia & self-loathing out at others. It tends to be associated with the most violent homophobia.
i just love this event cuz more and more creative and imaginative floats and costume designs are being presented every year. I am so excited for this coming occasion. See you guys at the Mardi Gras! XOX
Its obvious, from some of the hateful comments, that Mardi Gras is still as relevant as ever. We arent going anywhere and if you have a problem with it, its exactly that, your problem. Just because alot of you hets are so miserable dont rain on our parade.
@cherton It's a vocal minority dude, most of us have and accept our close friends and relatives who are rainbow :) don't get mad and react. Hateful comments don't need a response.........
I really want to support the gay community but the video, the execution, the really confusing message heirachy not matching the imagery, just isnt cool. Sorry Mardi Gras... Fail...
fine be gay. but gay marriage is stupid and pointless why protest about it? what has the world come to? stop being over sensitive little fucks and move on.
No place in the world respects cultural diversity except here in Australia. This is a crystal clear proof that Aussies are open-minded people reflecting observance to human dignity as promulgated by the United Nations following World War II. LGBT community enjoy equal protection against discrimination in this country and therefore I am very blessed to be an Australian.
It says that the madi gras is about love- yet when I see people dancing in their bondage outfits being drunk, taking drugs and promiscuous sex I don't see love.
I am straight and I don't see straight people dancing half naked in the street promoting sex and drugs
@woodchup Umm....ever been to Kings Cross? There you would see a hell of a lot of "straights" engaging in promiscuity and drugs. See late night footage of this. What about Schoolies week in Bali...it's about drunkenness and drugs and unbridled sexual desires. I don't like this in any group but it certainly is not restricted to gays!
@23Wolgan So what- Kings cross is not promoting love is it- and why is this video promoting love when the way they act and behave is not love at all. I am well aware of the drugs and sex that people get into no matter what sexuality they are but call a spade a spade- what started out as a parade of love has diminished into drugs sex and lust. I was not saying it was restricted to gays I am saying yes it's across the board but this parade is not about love which is what the video is saying it it
@woodchup I agree that I don't think "love" is really being promoted at the Mardi Gras and it is a bit of a stretch for the video to say that is all about. It is asking for equality though. Your comment about about the whole thing just being about sex and lust is also not quite right, in my opinion. Certainly when I have been to the parade it is about having funand there was a great deal of camaraderie where gays were accepted.
If people wanna be gay fair enough but do it behind closed doors I don't want my kids to grow up being influenced by homosexuality. Gay people made their decision in life they shouldn't tell others that there's nothing wrong with it and parade for their rights. If you wanna get married get married to the opposite sex, everyone has the right to marry someone that way.
If you have one day a year to reach out from the gay community to Australia to what would you want to say? That you are over sexualised, drunk party goers! Conservatives and the wider community alike find that confronting regardless of sexuality. I hope marriage laws change, but beliefs will still need to be changed, this can't be done through confrontation. People need to be able to identify with the gay community and not perpetuate the idea that they are different, but very much the same.
@julzzzzzzzzzzz God damm! , u think this is a disgrace? You should be at the post-parade party at about 6am in the morning. Your eyes would pop out of your stupid fukkin ugly bigotted head. hahaha xxxx
@NicksandSlick you are a fucking faggot.... i'd make a citizen arrest if i saw gay men having sex in public... they should be all sent to a gay holiday camp.... gay fucks
Many people say "Why do they have to have a parade and flaunt their sexuality?" Have u ever considered how much flaunting of hetero-sex there is EVERYWHERE, EVERYDAY? Its fukkin apalling how much of that shit i put up with everyday. We get one night a year.Deal with it.Or dont deal with it.
Dont look! I know i try not too when i see two heteros goin for it on the telly.
Ive been going to MG for 23 years, im not stopping anytime soon.Your'e all jealous because we know how to have a big night
Honestly, why should money be spent on pointless events such as these when money could be put foward to more critical facets such as the health system or funding for greater education in Australia. I have nothing against gay people, however I think it is ridiculous that, a.) money is spent on such a vague event, when funding could be going elsewhere, b.) sections of the city are closed off for this event and c.) straight people don't get any event or function like this.
@Industrie16 You know why straight people don't have their own functions like this? because there was never a need to help straight people feel like they weren't so alone, the straight suicide rate for teens was never so high as it is with the LGBTQA community, I love how you criticize and event that brings happiness to people when there are so many things the government waste their money on that have negative effects all round.
@Industrie16 And If you're going to bastardize mardi grahs I hope you at least feel the same way about the new-years celebrations, another "waste of money" (both being such WASTES of money that they bring in countless numbers of tourists, are part of the reason Sydney is such an appealing place to move or visit, and part of the reason so many people attend the evens aiding local businesses surrounding them and countless other economically boosting things that come with tourism). >_>
fuck this pisses me off ! the biggest street party in Australia is the gay Mardi Gras WHERE'S THE BIG STREET PARTY FOR US STRAIGHT PEOPLE ??? why is it that the freaks and gays get a dedicated street party
this world has no future for the next generation ! just imagine what its going to be like with lady fuckin ga ga at the helm ! well fuck that
@spellgrounds Well you could start a party like this for straight people I guess. Nothing is there to stop you. Brazil for example is famous for its Mardi Gras,
Yesterday Youtube was promoting the gay marriage equality commercial and today it's the Mardi Gras-an agenda much? We're now subjected to it non-stop-in the schools, the media, TV shows, music, movies. Don't kid yourselves and think it will end if they succeed in legalising gay marriage.
Wish they hadn't thrown trans* people under the bus in this parade.

I enjoy going to MardiGras, one thing that i dislike from the parade is the drunk people. i was otw back to my friend's apt, and suddenly a beer bottle flied above my head.yup, apparently a drunk person can't locate where the bin is. lucky the bottle hit the floor, not other people's head.
random thing, i remember those guys in 1:50 i took some picts of their group =D

brown or yellow? Yellow is a racist term to describe asians......
hasher22 3 months ago
@hasher22 not really, i called my caucasian friends white all the time so i can not see the problem with the reverse, may not be political correct but far from being racist
keirenle 5 days ago
@keirenle
Yellow came form the war with the Japanese. The caucasians will call the Japanese 'yellow' to describe their skin colour and a way to offend them. In this day, term yellow to desribe an asian in align with black and white is quite 'normal' now as i believe not may people know where the term yellow came from.

@hasher22 oh, so the expression has been reclaimed? Like "Queer"? That's good!
roidroid 4 days ago
@ironmanicarus - i kind of agree with you. Im gay as well and can't stand the parade anymore. It has lost its original meaning and makes us all look like dancing queens. The party on the other hand, is just another party. Who doesn't like to go out and let their hair down and enjoy themselves? If it wasn't the Mardi Gras party, it'd be something else. But lets not forget, there is a part of the straight community that does the exact same thing - just not the parade.
bja24 3 months ago

Good-looking, young and fit LGBTs. Sydney shines during Mardi Gras Season.
jeffhaffner100 3 months ago
Initially the Mardi Gras was to say to the world that gay people are around and they have a right to be around. The first parade in fact resulted in many arrests...just for being gay. So good things have come about since then. Bigotry and hatred by mindless groups and individuals continues no matter what you do of course.

I know i will never ever forget all those wonderful nights at the showgrounds, surrounded by thousands of the most amazing people, gay and staright.
It was total freedom. It was sheer bliss and i feel sorry for anyone that has never experiencd that sort of feeling.

Boys only in the dome was great for gays and straights........
tNJippoes 3 months ago
@tNJippoes It just got way too big mate. there were lots of people excluded, if you werent a member(gay or otherwise) you couldnt even buy a ticket. I know plenty of gay people that missed out on going through those peak years. I suppose that is what happens when you do something that is just so completely fantastic, everyone wants a bit.
Some of these sad cases that are posting so negatively could well benefit from a night out at the showgrounds eh! It could re-define there narrow sad lives
NicksandSlick 3 months ago
@NicksandSlick Guys totally agree many of the sad sacks here need a good night out partying. Look my point was because something is successful you still shouldn't exclude based on sexuality though. Surely it is first in first served or open a new pavilion. Surely you could see the irony in discriminating based on sexuality?

It wouldn't surprise me if a lot of antisocial criminals were closet cases, projecting their internalised homophobia & self-loathing out at others. It tends to be associated with the most violent homophobia.

No place in the world respects cultural diversity except here in Australia. This is a crystal clear proof that Aussies are open-minded people reflecting observance to human dignity as promulgated by the United Nations following World War II. LGBT community enjoy equal protection against discrimination in this country and therefore I am very blessed to be an Australian.
mkrisander 3 months ago
It says that the madi gras is about love- yet when I see people dancing in their bondage outfits being drunk, taking drugs and promiscuous sex I don't see love.
I am straight and I don't see straight people dancing half naked in the street promoting sex and drugs
woodchup 3 months ago
@woodchup Umm....ever been to Kings Cross? There you would see a hell of a lot of "straights" engaging in promiscuity and drugs. See late night footage of this. What about Schoolies week in Bali...it's about drunkenness and drugs and unbridled sexual desires. I don't like this in any group but it certainly is not restricted to gays!
23Wolgan 3 months ago
@23Wolgan So what- Kings cross is not promoting love is it- and why is this video promoting love when the way they act and behave is not love at all. I am well aware of the drugs and sex that people get into no matter what sexuality they are but call a spade a spade- what started out as a parade of love has diminished into drugs sex and lust. I was not saying it was restricted to gays I am saying yes it's across the board but this parade is not about love which is what the video is saying it it
woodchup 3 months ago

If you wanna get married get married to the opposite sex, everyone has the right to marry someone that way.
rambo122222 3 months ago

If you have one day a year to reach out from the gay community to Australia to what would you want to say? That you are over sexualised, drunk party goers! Conservatives and the wider community alike find that confronting regardless of sexuality. I hope marriage laws change, but beliefs will still need to be changed, this can't be done through confrontation. People need to be able to identify with the gay community and not perpetuate the idea that they are different, but very much the same.

Industrie16 3 months ago
@Industrie16 You know why straight people don't have their own functions like this? because there was never a need to help straight people feel like they weren't so alone, the straight suicide rate for teens was never so high as it is with the LGBTQA community, I love how you criticize and event that brings happiness to people when there are so many things the government waste their money on that have negative effects all round.
yasieA 3 months ago
@Industrie16 And If you're going to bastardize mardi grahs I hope you at least feel the same way about the new-years celebrations, another "waste of money" (both being such WASTES of money that they bring in countless numbers of tourists, are part of the reason Sydney is such an appealing place to move or visit, and part of the reason so many people attend the evens aiding local businesses surrounding them and countless other economically boosting things that come with tourism). >_>
