  • Kerry Von Erich commited Suicide due to the fact that he was going to do Jail Time for possesion of Drugs in his car.. He didn't die because of his drug problems..

  • Don't understand why these brothers would kill themselfs when some had kids of there own

  • @Midnightryder7 We will never no. Personally I have never seen suicide as the easy way out. Your in a pretty bad place if it gets that far

  • Thank you Cindy, Kerry was my favourite too.

  • Gone too soon...

  • @eazybe1 yea but now he is in a better place......feel no pain and finally is with his relatives

  • y kerry?

  • @gt1kidd Kevin Von Erich has two sons who might be or have been described as "bad ass football player". However, neither one of them is named Ryan.

  • he had only one foot

  • this song hits home i bet i watched this 1000 times when my girlfriend passed away last year she was only 39.rip babe

  • I guess those VonErich boys just had enough of money and hot women.

  • Was Lance really a cousin or just family friend?

  • @dtw1958 No..his real name was William Vaughn....no relation

  • Another tragic wrestling related story.

  • Yea David is alive......in our hearts and Mike, Kerry,Chris too

  • @janborrowitz no hes not only Kevin

  • So Lacey is Kerry's daughter correct?

  • @u2bking yes, that's correct.

  • @u2bking yes

  • RIP Kerry

  • I remember him with the WWF as The Texas Tornado. I was so stoked when he won the Intercontinental Championship. Certain he'd rise to the top. Then he was gone. Such a disappointment. It's too bad, really. Always better to be judged by twelve than be carried by six.

  • Truly a world champion that never got to carry the title for an extended period of time

  • how did he die?

  • 9 mm

  • @bouzoukimania23 he was on his fathers ranch and committed suicide by shooting himself in the chest

  • Beautiful.

  • When Lacey said he was the best on the spin cycle, I thought that was the sweetest thing :) R.I.P. Kerry

  • what a waste, i am sure he only would have been in jail a few yrs.Not worth killing himself.

  • my dad met him once and got me his autograph!!that was gold to me.

  • today is the anniversery of his death

RIP Kerry...holly and lacey are doing great, you would be proud

  • TD to those that didn't read "Memorial" at the top of the video. Kerry had one of the most tremendous moments in the history of the sport. RIP, Modern Day Warrior.

  • Texas Tornado is much better :-)

  • Greatest wrestler of all time ever !

  • Best wishes for your birthday, Kerry. He would be 50 yrs old...thats unbeliveably sad.

  • @janborrowitz that would be correct,bro

  • youre right buddy :-)

  • RIP

He had properly one of the best physique and good looks in the wrestling world. It's a shame how it turned out, but that's life.

Good to see his daughter Lacey doing so well.

    .

  • Great times of wrestling for me ended in 1999 with owens Hart death

  • the greatest years of wrestling those which I miss dearly,

one of my favourite wrestlers Texas Tornado RIP why do all the good guys die so young....

  • So young great wrestler.....life is a bitch

  • Rmstaudt I hope someone in your family kills themselves because they're related to you

  • we love yo u adkinsons chris david kerry from corinth texas shady shores road our neighbor our friends gl kevin

  • Such a tragic end to such a promising life. I just wish Kerry could have pulled through whatever he was going through. It was selfish of him to leave Kevin alone, but I dont hold it against him, 2 sad

  • Yes sad. He died about 5 miles from where I grew up. Tragic.

  • He was facing prison time.

  • Yup

  • holding of narcotics

  • My aunt house a farm near their house in east texas. I'm from Dallas and grew up watching the Von Erich's wrestle. I can still remember the "Iron Claw" move! I remember how difficult it was when they, um, you know, went through all that.

  • yeah drugs coke and falsifiying scripts...man thats sad!

  • sad that more then one brother took there lives in the same family..I wouldn't know how to handle that...correct me if i am wrong didn't Kerry kill himself?....and why may i ask?....or does anyone really have that answer?

  • i remember it having something to do with drugs. you could look him up at wikipedia. that might help you out.

  • his wife was leaving him and he had a cocaine problem and pain he was wrestling with a prosthetic leg after hit accident.

  • He had divorced Cathy years before his suicide.

  • Prosthetic leg after motocycle accident ? Really ? re kidding

  • Well actually it was more like a prosthetic foot but yes he did lose it in a motorcycle accident and that's what got him deeper into a pain pill addiction. Really sad thing to happen to someone so talented.

  • Yes, because he was facing prison time.

  • Yes Kerry did kill himself, He wrote on a tablecloth."Tonight, I'm walking with my brothers.

  • Kerry should have been given top billing with Hogan and Savage instead of that damn ultimate warrior!!!

  • WAS YOU AT ADVENTURE BOUND SCHOOL OUT-SIDE OF CHARLOTTESVILLE V.A. 1985 THRU1987 ? IF SO CONTACT ME @ merishane ON YOU-TUBE !!! CSC/09 IN LYNCHBURG V.A.

  • what a neat song for a tribute video. Great job!

  • all are death, the five brothers

  • GREAT VIDEO!! Thank YOU! Loved them all but Kerry was and is my favorite! We will FOREVER miss you KERRY!

  • Kevin, Chris, and Kerry were my favorites

  • One of my all-time favorite wrestlers. Great job!

  • mine too

  • The Greatest Feud ever could have been Kerry Von Erich VS Shawn Michaels if he didnt have his drug issues and then died it would have been right up there with the Best of all time and the WWE wanted to do it but kerry couldn't beat his demons

  • unforgotten heros !

  • My favorite of all the Von Erich's. David was probably the best but Kerry had the charisma. Still hard to believe all but Kevin are gone.

  • Wonderful. Thanks for the memories and Kerry: I still miss you!

  • The pictures of all the brothers and Fritz together is so powerful when you think about Kevin being the only one left. I cant imagine what him and his mother have been threw.

  • This is awesome video Tribute to the Texas Tornado. I got to watch him live when I lived in San Antonio, it was the best match I have ever seen him in, he was and still is my favorite wrestler...Old School Wrestling, not like this shit they do now!

  • that really is sad your daughter was born the exact day he died. i watch him now and i cry. if he could have just lived a little bit longer!!!! =(

  • Can anyone tell me if there are any videos of Chris Von Erich wrestling? I've watched both the "heroes of world class" dvd and the new WWE one of the Von Erichs. They mention Chris' suicide but not one video of him in the ring. . .

  • Chris dies before he reaches the size to wrestle , his growth was stunted by steroids and he had only a handful of matches at the local show in Denton

  • Check out the video on youtube between Chris Von erich and Chris Adams vs. Percy Pringle and Steve Austin. I think it's the only clip out there of Chris. . . Thanks for the reply. . .

  • Kerry Passed Away The Same Day My Daugter Was Born...

  • Thats a sad but fitting tribute. It is an amazingly sad story.

  • kerry von erich died one year before i was born i watch him in videos now and i cry. he's my hero. he's gone but never ever forgotten. we loved you kerry v. live on kerry live on =(

  • great job best vid I have ever seen

  • fitting song for all of the Von Erichs who left too early

  • hey i love this video and song what is the name of the song?thanks

  • Who'd You Be Today by Kenny Chesney

  • :-) I am so sorry he didnt notice

  • Thanks for the video.

  • lots of memories from my child hood in this video, God bless em all!

  • Nice.Thanks!

  • Wow that guy had it all, good looks, body, he could have played conan in the movies........what a shame, so much talent.

  • this is my favorite kerry video tribute I love the video and the song just like I love the man I wish he could still be here now and what he would be doing

  • Back in the day Saturday night wrestling with the Von Erichs was better than apple pie made by ur grandmother. They are truly a family that will stay in many hearts and be missed.

I never had the chance to meet any of them but they would make the occasional stop at my grandparents bbq joint in Lawton,OK.

The Von Erichs and their famous "Iron Claw" graced many wrestling fans and will not be forgotten.

  • its just to bad that kerry took the easy way out!! That just shows you, what happens when painkillers and drugs take over your life. I believe his father found him dead.

  • Bautiful song --says it all.

    Goodbye to a legend.

    Forever in our hearts.

  • Really cool you made this video.

  • Who sings this song? It's so fitting RIP Kerry

  • Kenny Chesney

  • is it true he had one fake foot? also why did he kill himself? ive never heard the reason! thanks in advance!

  • He lost his foot in a motorcycle accident but didnt tell the media. Drugs and depresion

  • RIP Kerry Adkisson (Kerry Von Erich)

    1960-1993

We miss you, "Modern Day Warrior"

We'll see you down the road!

  • i agree

  • Beautiful video. World Class and the Von Erichs were the stuff man!

  • RIP BRO

  • Couldn't help but to think of Texas Stadium in'84,after seein'Naitch retiring.

  • Thanks to cindylew68.....I saw Kerry in little Harlingen Texas...vs..Rick Flair..

what a match what a night...He is part of what made the Good Old days Great!!!!

  • WHY? WHY? WHY?

do we lose all these great athletes before 40, ill tell you why. its the promoters not taking care of there talent. once you dont draw your gone and have to fend for yourself. its bullshit. we need a union and a short off season or time for these guys. the world would be a better place with the likes of the von erics, gary hart, wahoo, bruiser, owen and i can go on and on. take a stand and support the retired and indy guys. they need us now just like then.

  • No the reason why these wrestlers are dying so young is because of drugs and steroid abuse the partake in. Alot of the veteran wrestlers will concur to that because they had to work hard like everybody else in the business and they are still alive. They were smart enough not to get caught up in all that dangerous shit outside the ring.

  • i love kerry von erich he was one of the best ever love you kerry rip

  • And now we have to add Gary Hart.

  • It was great watching them all in the ring. Seeing those photos of him with his daughters is real sad, sad because I can only imagine how they must of felt when he died.

  • god bless you kerry

  • Bret in his book talk about Kerry, how he tried to tell him not to kill himself, guess he had his heart set on dying. Man had it all, miss you kerry. Leave some passes at the gate.

  • Kerry was simply great. I miss him very much.

  • suicide ran in their family. It's a brain defect that could not be stopped without meds. Streroids and booze and pills and cocaine with stop any heart

  • I sure miss the Von Erich's

    Kerry, winners man.......

  • everyone thought kerry was the ultimate warrior. god bless ya kerry

  • what is the name of the song?I love it~

  • I love the pictures with Kerry Gene and Shea, his dog he was big ad gentle and sweet just like the Kerry Gene I knew and was my friend. The last time I saw Hollie and Lacey was i the Denton Town Square and they were little girls with their faces painted and they were climbling all over Kerry, they were sweeet little girls and it hurt when Kerry died, but not as bad as they must have felt losig their Daddy.I miss him and Sunday is his 48th Birthday Happy Birthday Kerry Gene. Miss you.

  • when i was a kid, i was a HUGE von erich fan.

miss them all. "pint raised high".

  • please don't take wikipedia as a source anymore. anyone can edit the page and type in whatever they want.

  • Wonder why Fritz blamed Kevin? That is sad. He must be extremely tough to have lived through all this. Guess he went from a family of about 8 to none.

  • awesome videos. Very touching

  • Very well thought out and put together..A Brilliant tribute to one of the sports greatest tragadies

  • I feel so badly for this family, so much pain and death. Had to be so difficult for his dad to go through losing so many boys.

  • ain't there only one left.I wonder how he feels Man I know he feels torn up inside.I now after all his brothers died he might have thought about himself but I give him credit he has to be strong.

  • My brother died last week and I can sort of relate to what they went through, but not that many times. You are right, he has to be really strong. I don't watch rastling anymore and haven't for many years, but Kerry was my all time fav.

  • sorry about your brother bro.yeah kevin has to be very strong to loose his brothers like that I know he feel bad because I bet after his brothers died everbody might have been looking for him to kill himself but I give him credit he's tough but even if somthing happen like this you have to move on to the future.I'm from houston texas I'm glad that somone can show the first wrestling family of Texas.RIP von erich family.

  • Thanks. I wasn't sure which brother was still alive, but Kevin sounds right. The Von Erich's were cool.

  • yes they were but hopfully there kids will walk in there career shoes.but realy these are lession about what we do in ower life.

  • sad on wikipedia it said after kerry death that there dad blamed kevin for his death.now that feels bad that all your brothers died and your father hates you before he died I feel sorry for kevin went from being an older brother to not a brother at all.

  • if he would have kept his head on straight. he would have stoud next to hogan and flair as the three greatest of all time.

  • Firstly hogan is a shit wrestler, and flair is just plain over rated

they are not even in the same league as the von erichs,

You obviously concentrate on the gimmicks rather than the skills man, but that happens, no offence meant by the way....

  • very good mix of music and pics well done

  • whats the name of this song

  • "Who you'd be today" by Kenny Chesney

  • fritz didnt die of drugs

  • somat seriously wrong with that family

    all that talent wasted

  • Man, wrestling has not been the same since these brothers graced the ring. I miss them.

  • Thanks so much for posting this!Kerry is my heroe!r.i.p...

  • Thanks so much for posting this. Just wish there was a way to get rid of negative, shallow & ignorant comments..The Von Erich's-all of them-& Kevin still is--good people who worked very hard..No one has the right to judge that family. David DID NOT die of an OD, period; & whatever problems the other problems the other boys had--they always put their best in the ring-& for the fans. May God Always Bless the Von Erich Family.

  • opps!I mean them drugs.

  • Where all going to miss him. God bless kerry, his bros, his two girls, and all of his family. May he rest in peace. AND DARN THEN DRUGS!!! Sorry.

  • There was dark and scary stuff going on in that family that nobody alive except Kevin will ever know. I'm not sure if I even want to know. RIP David, Kerry, Mike, Chris, Fritz.

  • It really took me back to ranch they were all great freinds , and i miss em everyday i hope they ve found their piece .

  • If you ever make another tribute to Kerry, please do it to Stranglehold by Ted Nugent as that song was his entrance music at my favorite time in his career..

  • kerri's theme song for most of his career was tom saywer from rush thank you very much

  • Stranglehold was Kevin Von Erichs song, not Kerry's

  • God bless you Kerry--I miss you a lot and thank you for always being a wonderful human being to me

  • After the death of Chris Benoit and his family, my mind went back over 20 years ago when we would wait for Saturday nite wrestling. The Von Ericks were our TV brothers and we never missed a match. I miss those days. I am so glad to know that others remember and are keeping the Von Eriks in their hearts.

  • Good stuff. Kerry was my favorite of the VE's even though I believe David was the best. I miss those days!

  • Kerry was a really great friend of mine i still love the man miss him alot.

  • With all due respect could you tell me if he really did wrestle with one only one foot? I have read that one foot had to be amputated after bike accident.

    Thanks

  • June4,1986: While driving his motorcycle in Argyle,TX,Kerry pulls to his left on a two-lane highway to pass a van,Kerry skids into the rear of the police car that stopped in front of the van to make a left hand turn,Kerry flew 50ft in the air and landed on the road and suffered a severly damaged ankle,Kerry lost his foot and had to get a prosthetic one.The prosthetic foot was kept a secret until a match with Col.Debeers where Debeers accidently pulled off Kerry's boot

  • Thank you, I didnt know all that information. That must have been an excellent angle with Debeers pulling off his "foot"!! Must have been some heat!

  • RasinTX-You knew Kerry?

    -What was he like?

  • Thank you brother kerry for the friendship i love and miss you alot.

  • that was another great tribute...thank you very much.

I wonder where he would be today if he was still with us...

  • I'll never forget those guys! I think of the good they did regardless of what happened to them.

  • Its a shame he couldnt get off the drugs
