I always loved Richard's playing. It was always so simple, yet so melodic and flowing. I loving playing along with Pink Floyd's keyboard parts. He was just so great at what he did.
It's amazingly sad that anyone could turn a tribute to a man who helped create some of the greatest music ever written into a debate over religion, especially while a song which illuminates the ills of pigeon-holing people into "Us" and "Them" is playing in the background. Please just let go of your all too human fear for a few moments and listen. I hope that's not too much to ask.
Of course, many young fans STILL want a Pink Floyd Reunion and we got Live8, but I was one saying "never say never" They realized that the personal viewpoints between Roger and David caused a permanent impasse, one could say, over the many years, but they felt for a cause, it's important, and God Bless Bob Geldoff, no one twisted his arm to make those important calls to Rog and Dave!!
CRECI CON TU MUSICA.....ME DA MUCHISIMA NOSTALGIA OIRLA....SOLO CIERRO LOS OJOS I ME VOY SABIENDO QUE OTROS TAMBIEN CRECERAN CON TAN MARAVILLOSA MUSICA..
i hate to break it to you, but gilmour, waters, mason are atheists, wright was too... they don't believe in heaven... but i'm sure we'll see them on the dark side of the moon.
"I'm not a believer in God or an afterlife. I'm an atheist. I'm sort of resigned to my lot in life, and content in it." - gilmour "Please, God - I'm an atheist so maybe I shouldn't be asking God - but let Barack Obama finally win the Democratic nomination - waters
Yes you're in the right...remember the instrumental part from "Sheep": have you ever found a better way to ridiculize a holy bible's verse? "The lord is my shepherd...he converteth me to lamb cutlets...
@provandoeriprovando That's a bit of humor from Nick Mason as well, I suspect, it's not mocking REAL religion, however, I don't buy any argument to suggest they are Anti-Christian, I always loved PF
It actually doesn't surprise me that Roger should be an atheist... I'm sure he could give 100 of his own reasons why he doesn't believe in God, in that typical Roger way that makes them completely understandable.
@StephanieLives Not true, Gilmour is the man afraid of Death because he doesn't have a religious stance. Roger Waters has said his objection is to Man's Religious constructs, not the fact of a higher power presence
At least he died of natural causes, because no one wants to die of murder, suicide or overdose... But why are the ones who die of murder, suicide or overdose are more remembered? My dad says he's a big Pink Floyd fan, but he only knew David Gilmour and Roger Waters... But didn't knew the rest... He's not a real fan...

Are you sure Mason and Wright are atheists as well? I do not ever recall Mason or Wright saying anything about it.
