@minuotojas No, I am not stupid, but thank you for asking. Obviously, based on the video, axolotls can be with fish (not "other fishes," since axolotls are not fish, they are amphibians.)
Nice tank, it must have cost a bit. I think i have a 50 litre tank. Have you had any problems with the fish and the axolotls? If not what fish would you recommend, (non gill munching ones)
well you are doing something wrong either those axolotls are in tropical water which is bad, or those Danios are in cold water which is also bad. so which is it?
@missman0009 I have been keeping fish for over 20 years. In that time, I have had more fish die from heaters malfunctioning and boiling the fish than from not using a heater. I have not used heaters at all for the last ten years or so, in a single one of my tanks. My fish grow normally, spawn, and are healthy. Those particular danios are 4" long and have spawned MANY times. I have had Discus spawn in room temp water as well, growing and healthy. There are exceptions to EVERY "rule."
@kyryah welp good for you I wish my poor Oscar could be part of that exception but he's not. He was exposed to room temp water for over two months and now he's having all sorts of health issues. So where does that leave us, maybe go with what works for ya.
@missman0009 Are you a Miss or a Man or one seriously confused dude? My guess is the fish are their for food so it doesn't really matter if its cold or not the're gonna get eaten!
The axolotl's are now immensly threatended, and are on the verge of extinction. They are beautiful, and now rare creatures that need and deserve our help! We are the people who have caused the threat and now we need to resolve it!
In order to do this, we must STOP polluting and START giving money to charities which help save the axolotl's.
Your not supposed to keep fish with Axolotls as the fish can mistake the Axolotls gills for bloodworm and nibble at them, also the Axolotl will eat the fish if it gets a chance to. Its very stressful for the Axolotl and is advised to keep them on their own with their own kind.
If you read my description to the right of the video, it explains the presence of the fish. Not only do the axolotls pose a danger to the fish, but the fish can pose a danger to the axolotls gills as well. Mixing the two needs to be done with caution.
It really isn't that bad. If you keep a couple of water bottles in the freezer, just plop one in the tank if the temp gets too high. Keep a couple so that you can rotate them, and you are good to go! I have only had to do that a couple of times.
Yes, you can use a chiller if you want to invest in one. The optimum temperature is 68 degrees for axolotls. Temps over 72 and they stress badly and can die.
are you stupid? axolotls can't be with other fishes, because he will eat's them xDD

It needs to be between 6-22 and they will not be stressed. Any higher or lower and they might die.
