  • 40 fps? My 7950 can do better than this. Sorry bro you wasted a lot of money, energy and your time.

  • WTF? You never get above 60 FPS ... why? oO

  • Would you be able to get the same results as the HC2 if you got a regular GTX580, put a waterblock on it and overclocked it?

  • The bad thing is that,if i get the hydro copper,i won't be able to get a new 1080p monitor :((

  • @desertman123 ok, that makes more sense :)

  • Considering it is three 580's, the fps are not that spectacular. CPU bottleneck maybe? The water temps are so nice though.

  • @apollo565 This one is a single card test. "Thermal test, db levels and performance of single EVGA GTX 580's."

  • IS the normal gtx 580 80db or 80 degrees ?

  • everytime when i go home and look at my 8500GT, i start to cry :(

  • @PCnitro1 why

  • @PCnitro1 damn right and thats why i decided too just do it and combine myself a sick gamers pc

gonna cost me .. but then again.. gonna like it!

  • Hey Maxishine, I have a 6870 OC'd to 980/1225mhz. Under gaming it never goes over 64c. Under 100% Benchmark 74c is the max temp i get. I wanna watercool it and do you think it's worth it? If i only could voltage oc it :[

  • @Suprnovo3 why watercooling is a short-term solution? u can damage your video card in time?

  • The only good thing about the HC2 is the noise and heat, but because the card is FTW edition, i would expect to see some overclocking potential on them, they could definitely reach over 900 core clock, maybe even 1000 depending on the card, i love to see people showing their cool shit, but would even be better to see some amazing overclocking on these bad boys.

  • to be completely fair, you should have listed the water pump in the decibel meter. still, looks great, with fantastic temps.

  • I'm selling my PC:

    MB: Asus Rampage 3 Extreme

    CPU: Intel Core i7 980x @4,6GHz

    GPU: 3x GTX480 (Tri-SLI)

RAM: Corsair Dominator GT 2000MHz CL7

    PSU: Silverstone Strider 1500W

    SSD: 2x Crucial C300 256GB

    HDD: WD Caviar Black 1TB

    Case: Corsair Obsidian 800D

Send me a PM if you're interested!

  • what was the temp on the GPU1 when you were testing the watercooled ones?

  • Console "gamers" are so lazy to research and build (own) PC, so they use excuses like a - "Not everyone can afford a gaming PC" ,IMO :)))

  • WORTH EVERY PENNY

  • my crysis never looked like that :(

  • wow that card gets really hot really fast.

  • I would do ANYTHING (A_N_Y_T_H_I_N_G) for a GTX 580...

  • @neonzion7 Anything? give me 2k and you can have one!

  • @TrollTheory haha nvm LMAO! ill take it for free :D!!!

  • very good video realy liked it, but why are you only running 850 on the core i run 875 on my gigabyte 580 on air and i have only given it a small voltage boost i cant wait to get mine on water

  • 7 ppl have poor computer

  • @bshara18

I still gaming with 7800 GT.

  • @HLM190586 thats because youre poor. My 7900 GS kicks ass though!

  • Be generous XD that what they want even me i become hungry by just looking at those cards i cannot even afford one

  • Jeeze those cards are heating up so much! 80 + degrees Celsius!

  • The FTW is superior so give away the other card, preferably to me.

  • I realise this is focused more on the sound and temperature aspects of the card, but for the FPS (and I presume the temps too) could we see something more demanding than Crysis? Say, Arma 2 with the WarFX mod at maximum settings in eyefinity? After all, an i5 750 with a 6850 can play Crysis at a very similar FPS.

  • @Terrr05 +1 here

  • @Terrr05

The most demanding graphics software would be 3Dmark 11.

I have seen even the most powerful GPU got only 10 fps when running the benchmark.

  • @HLM190586 HD 5970 extreme preset: Max 17, Min 4-5, Avg somewhere around 11.

  • @HLM190586 Yeah, that's not really too helpful though. There are more popular games which've come out recently that would be more informative than both Crysis and that 3Dmark GPU killer program thing, as they'd give us a look into the performance the hardware would give when playing a game we actually play. I don't mean he should do individual requests or anything, just do something like a short benchmark on Crysis then Metro 2033, then ArmA2; nothing too long, just 30 seconds or so for each.

  • maxishine you should say how far the sound sensor is from the cards otherwise your measurements are pretty useless (if its inside your case, outside the case, 2m away from the cards,... it will make a hell of a diffrence)

  • this is excellent video water cooling all day

  • 80 dB.. goddamn.

  • Love it maxishine.. why have you taken so long to WC your GPUS's??

  • Thank you so much for showing the temperature. Most people who have GTX 580 watercooled videos on youtube never show the temp. What's the point right?

Maxishine, I'm glad I subsribed you.

  • Next time, dont record the games audio, record the noise from the fans only. Then we can hear GPU noise vs radiator noise.

  • Maxishine I congratulate you for throwing several thousand dollars in the drain since you actually were stupid enough to buy three new cards instead of buying only three waterblocks for a couple hundred dollars. Also you have a decibel meter on a card that produces no sound, I'm fucking impressed that it shows 0 dB. Put it next to the radiator and it's fans next time.

I usually like your videos but this is the pinnacle of stupidity.

  • @sampsalol He'll probably going to sell his vanilla cards :), also, believe it or not... the FTW edition has much better overclocking potential than the vanilla ones, yes, he can get WB's for the vanilla he has... but the overclocking potential will not be as good as the FTW cards, it is something with the bios that comes on the FTW cards, unless he would flash the FTW bios on his three vanilla cards, which i find it very risky to do so.. also, the FTW comes with a sexy illuminated EVGA logo. :D

  • @othman626 Yeah.. BIOS flashing isn't risky if you know what you're doing, end of story. And since he was running the vanillas without overclocking, the FTW card had a 5fps increase. I bet the vanilla cards will be just as fast as the FTW ones if you put waterblocks on them. Overall it was stupid to buy three new cards.

  • @sampsalol I know mate, but if you're flashing bios, there is always a chance for things to go bad, i know that's not logic buying new cards, and hell! if you ask me..i would just buy a WBs for them, and why would i need to overclock 3-way SLI GTX 580's!? LOL these cards can take any game out there just with their stock speeds, and no, it is not stupid to buy the FTW cards if he'll just going to sell his vanilla ones, probably he saw something on the FTW cards he liked more than the vanilla's :)

  • @othman626 Yeah well, atleast the FTW ones have a led EVGA logo, dunno if it's worth it though lol. :P

  • @sampsalol point. +1

  • @othman626 kaif 7alek <3

  • @Abdullah2009 (el7emdalah b5air) fine thanks bro :)

  • @sampsalol its a water bolck the sound is so quiet it wouldnt be picked up in decibels. i know it is stupid not buying water blocks

  • im a noob so this HC2 is just a cooler for the gtx 580 correct?

  • lol i get 60 fps+ maxed with highest AA on my 22 inch :D

  • @TheFatal05 id like to see that

  • @ihavemonkeysinmybutt with 2 460 hawks dude no bullshit, and ill make videos in 6 months lol

  • @TheFatal05 im not a computer geek but all I know is that the EVGA GTX580 FTW Hc2 is a crap load better than those GTX 460 hawks you have. Remember this is only just one of his cards and he has like 5 I think.

  • Comment removed

  • @ihavemonkeysinmybutt Anyone with half a brain can see he has 6, doesnt take a computer wizz to see that moron.

  • @TheFatal05

mate he is playing on 3 fcking 24" monitors o.O and not on 1 22"

  • @hom3R1234 lol i think he is playing on 1, or he would say surround, no? :D

  • @hom3R1234 he is playing on 3 30 inch 2560x1600 7680x1600 total not 3 24 inch

  • @TheVoodooDX All of you guys are wrong, you guys don't see the settings above the comparison? he's playing on (1920x1080) resolution with (enthusiast settings) and (16xAAQ).. so that's a single monitor and a single card he's playing on this bench, i know he has 3 monitors.. but he isn't using 3 with this particular benchmark..

  • @BratedVideos Is your point honestly that video cards can play every game at low enough resolution? logic FTW

  • looks like watercooling is the future for gaming rigs.

  • what game is this? Crysis warhead?

  • @stalyoni duh?

  • @jorn1233 i just wanted to confirm thats all MATE

  • Let me sum up the video. Water cooled = no fan......... Stock cooling = loud fan.........

This test was 100% stupid. Thanks for wasting my time you jack wagon.

  • @archolon you must have failed to realize that it also compared FPS's and more importantly thermal comparisons under full load since one has the stock fan and the other a water block, you fail, gtfo nub

  • @Argedis Gee, all stuff that would come with water cooling? OMG you are right! This video is the best in the world! Not only is he showing a test that everyone already knows about because he wasn't the first to get them. But he's showing a 4 year old game with it. I mean honestly who the fuck plays Crysis anymore.... I'd like to see him use it in a game that everyone plays today. Not a benchmark game.

  • @archolon ok that would defeat the purpose of a test.....hes benchmarking the 2 graphics cards in comparison. nobody plays crysis yes but everyone uses it as a benchmark. try to not be a total douche

  • @archolon Whats the point of a benchmark if you don't use a benchmark game?

  • @joelpink1 Because they have 3dmark11 now? I mean come the fuck on. Dx11 cards fastest on the planet and he uses a Dx10 game that's 4 years old. I mean WTF...

  • @archolon it don't matter if its a dx9 game, if it can keep all single cards down below 60 fps at max settings, its an awesomely stressful benchmark. i can max out BC2 with its dx11 on my 5870 n still get 50-60 fps but crysis is almost unplayable

  • @archolon so when you watercool you don't need any fans in the system right? clearly he's measuring how loud his rad fans need to be to get that temperature. and we all know water is better than air, but he's showing what kind of perf gain you can expect to get. so dont act like ur the only one who knows anything thats subbed to maxishine

  • WHAT DOES HE DO FOR A LIVING?!

  • Man the regular GTX580 is hot!

Did the FTW HC2 even have it's cooler on? :D

  • Very nice, thanks for showing this, now show Metro 2033 please.

  • give me one gtx580? you have 5 or more....please.

send me message in my channel!

  • @semper4213 stop begging you tramp

  • the hell with his stuff..

im drolling at his camera which he use :o

  • that's insane...

  • CRYSIS the most demanding game of ALL TIME ....

  • @cisco760ca

    just shitty optimized

  • What utility is that GPU Fan meter?

  • Is this Crysis or Crysis: Warhead? Because Crysis highest settings are Very High, not Enthusiast.

  • @sangolt88 warhead.

  • :O excellent comparison, fantastic job

  • to be honest there really isn't much difference in performance...

i wouldn't say its worth the extra money....

  • just keep using the GTX 580 FTW because its no noise and if this is only single what would it be like it 3 way SLi it could make crysis over 60FPS all maxed out

  • haha 85 degrees, stay classy Nvidia

  • please donate to me 1 of teh 580s =)

  • 1+1 = 11

    *coolface.jpg*

  • dude put the 580 in 5 way your motherboard supports up to 7 cards xD

  • @Nimerbushnaq u can only do 4 way nice try tho

  • @jack720ass i was being sarcastic..

  • This can easily be achieved w/ any other waterblock e.g EK Wbs, Koolance, and good thermal paste e.g IC Diamond, Nanoxia, Gelid...

  • Pc graphics have no pretty much no where since crysis . I got a 4770 and to me it feels pretty pointless to upgrade for a long time.

  • @jordler Thats because hardware hasnt caught up yet. Neither of these flagship single card solutions could keep a steady 60fps on this game...call it poorly optimised code if you want but brute strength can overcome poor optimisation (within reason) ....and it still hasn't.

The fps from to the teens even on the water cooled version.

  • Quad SLI? You promised.

  • my 580 never goes above 65c and the fan usually sits around 50% I usually test with Furmark or Heaven

  • love your vids bro but why show us gpu fan noise when your 580 is watercooled

  • Hey Maxishine. Can you explain these strange loudness values? I mean 0db(which cannot be)...versus 80~db...is this just a tool that calculates the Fan Speed to decibel?

    Thx

  • @fzsdude It's 0db on the one card because it has watercooling. So the fan obviously doesn't make any noise.

  • Nice temp on the watercooling

  • OMG :'( even if i played that game... i never saw it that way :"(

  • With the regular GTX580, you can play Crysis AND cook your lunch on it.

  • pro edit

  • Christ, that watercooling and copper heatsink doesn't half make a difference!

  • Do you actually play the games or you just stare at your framerate? lol games are made for fun not for looking at the graphics and the framerate... of course, I agree, the graphics are great but thats not the main thing! A shit game with good graphics is a shit game! lol i hope you get what i mean

  • @Latvietis96 You really on't get that the point of this video is to compare the relative performance benefits of using a copper heatsink and watercooling system on a card in order to acheive a better overclock, do you?

  • @Kalywonkas I DO, but all of his videos are just performance tests!

  • @Latvietis96 minecraft :) xP sry...

  • thats crazy

  • Damn 85C 0.0

  • @Rune101rune One degree above HD5970, Yes it is Dual core card, but GTX 580 is almost that powerfull,in some tests it even surpass 5970.

  • same test with GTX 580 FTW Hc2 Tri SLI vs GTX 580 Tri SLI, please

  • wanna get!!! amazing those FPS :D

Amazing also the clocks, only about 100 Mhz higher than the Aircooled, an always at least 5 FPS more!

PS: Why only three GFX's? :D

  • You gotta ask yourself, was this upgrade worth the money? And I can tell you now dude, in case you are wondering, no it wasnt. But never the less, you own the sickest harware out there to date! Props for that!

  • maxishine have you tried ssaa instead of normal aa? It looks amazing

  • Damn Crysis is 4 years and still there is no Graphic card that can bring it up to 100FPS constantly, damn Germans you did a good job making that game.... I wonder how it is going to be with the new Crysis that is coming up in march

  • @need1992 Crysis 2 will have lower requirements due to better optimization and worse graphics.

  • @L4veyan they never stated that crysis 2 erik have worse graphics. In fact odds are it will have better graphics because its going to use dx11

  • @kdawgmaster They didn't, but it's quite obvious since they had to lower the graphics to make it run smoothly on consoles also. And the tessellation will be used minimally as usual in new games.

  • @need1992 You mean they did a usless jobb optimizing the code??....

look at GTA4 its eaven more demanding and much worse loking.

  • @need1992 actually they didnt the reason why crysis demands so much is because its so shittily coded

  • @need1992 you mean they made a terible job at optimising it...

  • @need1992 Crysis 2 wont even be nearly as advanced as Crysis 1... Crysis 2 is optimized for 7800gt performance (xbox 360)... Crytek has learned a lot... Its VERY unfortunate really because if it were not for consoles, the graphics would again be unbeatable for the next 5 years. IF it wer not for consoles, the minimum system req would be: dual core 2.8ghz+, 2gb ddr2+, 8800gt+ :D

  • @neonzion7 Well x360 utilizes ATi chip. I think its R580, wich is little faster than 7800GTX with 512MB Video RAM, poor frequencies and its almost 6 years old. And don't forget about resolution that consoles are running this games nowadays. Used to be 1080p, 4-5 years ago. Then w/ need for better graphics in game, they Scaled it down to 720p, or Even (in case of Alan Wake) to 576p - wich is pretty horrible to look at.

  • @CutingTheEdge u r right... The 360 uses the R500 series (exact performance revealed 5% slower than X1900). When i first saw gta 4 on the 360, i almost puked. The jagged lines were absolutely horrible. When GTA 4 was first released and playing the the early 360 series, the resolution was at 900x600(widescreen) or 800x600 for 4:3. its horribe. If crytek indeed makes Crysis 2 very advanced, the 360 may have to use resolution like: 720x480(widescreen) or 640x480 for 4:3.

  • @neonzion7 True. About that Crysis 2, I saw some tech-y demos, also read tons of articles, and we PC gamers can expect much more eyecandy than console gamers. Anyway, you gotta love all those console fanboys, saying: "consoles are superior", well yes mate, they were, on release date! Consoles aren't advancing, they're stagnating. Pc gaming was, is and will be better in any possible way, period

  • @CutingTheEdge HAHA, i recommended Crysis 2 to all my console buddies. They think pc gaming is retarded. Ok so when they all fnish the game. I will hook my pc up to my 50" (which looks beautiful playing crysis 1) and i will watch as all their jaws drop :D. Look, If i was the hardware designer for consoles, say xbox 360, i would have been smarter. like look at future hardware and or dual components. example: if ps4 came out soon, i would have made it have dual graphics but with smaller chip

  • @neonzion7 - But consoles are made to a stupidly small price point, it's a wonder how they do it when they're first released. However, they also have a massive mark-up value, so the price seems a bit less appealing after the greedy tech giants have had their way, and so has the government. :P

  • @MyRandomReviews i can build a $300 pc with 4 times the graphics power of a xbox 360. =) haha

  • @neonzion7 - Lol, I'm sure you could. However, once installing all the crap that's a burden of Windows, you'll be stuck with something that doesn't play games just so brilliantly. (Although, consoles are limited to crappy joy pads. :P)

  • @MyRandomReviews Dude i said i could build a $300 with 4x the graphics power of a 360... Thats after everything straight in game. Dude wtf? Who ever said anything about windows. How the fuck could u test the graphics power of a computer without an operating system... OBVIOSLY i ment 4x faster than 360 after installing everyhting... Sorry to be angry but its REALLY obvious and common sense

  • @neonzion7 - Ok, calm down. I think you're probably wrong.

Haha, you're angry because it was such common sense, nah, it was something easy to look-over. And have you heard of Linux? I'm pretty sure you can test graphics power with a distro of that, that's not Windows. And I didn't say without an OS I said with Windows, which is (unfortunately) what we have to use to play most PC games.

  • @MyRandomReviews reread my reply to you and i said: How the fuck could u test the graphics power of a computer without an operating system. I SAID OPERATING SYSTEM not Windows. DUH you can use other operating systems i never specified which. You THINK im wrong but obviously you thought wrong. Dude is it THAT hard for you to understand? Its a basic concept. Ok let me explain it so even a hard-headed person like you can understand: EVEN AFTER INSTALLING WINDOWS, my $300 would have 4x 360 gpu power

  • @neonzion7 - To be honest I don't give a shit any more.

You're being ridiculous about your claims, and trying to embody the exact same criticisms you made about me.

Do yourself a favour and try to build this magical system, without ridiculous overclocking or second-hand parts, which is just not realistic to a normal buyer.

  • @MyRandomReviews newegg.com

    Geil Value 2GB DDR3 $22

    ZOTAC GF6100-F-E mobo $25

    Broadway case with 550w $30

    WD1600AAJS 160GB hdd $37

    AMD Athlon II X3 445 $77

    ECS GTS 250 $95

    total with shipping $340

total with shipping after mail in rebates $310....

So for $310 you get a KICKASS system that DESTROYS the 360. Windows can easily be torrented or just use a free gaming linux. Sorry dude what was it you said? ridiculous claims??? I already gave you this same information but you are ignorant...

  • @neonzion7

you can get a HIS 5770 for $99 after rebate.

  • @zZzZz805 really, thats good didnt see that deal. But really i was just trying to show that i can easily build a ~$300 pc and wow, a 5770 is VERY nice for the EXTREMELY small price.

  • @neonzion7 k

  • @MyRandomReviews haha, research before you say shit SPECIALLY on a CRAZY pc gamers video: Maxishine. what kinda dumbass says incorrect shit like you and even after correcting you twice and proving multiple times... Like i said, ignorant people play consoles... Anyways, why are you watching Maxishines videos? Maxishine is a freak PC gamer and a 100% enthusiastic lmao. Take you 7800gt (xbox 360) and go play halo. gtfo

  • @neonzion7 - Alright, Jesus, would you like to point out where I say YOUR WRONG, or start OFFENDING the guy? I simply said that having to install Windows to play PC games makes the hardware a little less powerful than they could be, harnessed using an alternative.

Gawd, you should stop flying off the handle. And ok, if I unsubscribe (even though I'm a PC gamer and I hate consoles) what's that going to achieve?

  • @MyRandomReviews 22 hours you posted : "Ok, calm down. I think you're probably wrong." What i was trying to say is "wow, graphics cards are REALLLLLLYY fast in bios without any operating systems." its okay man i am a little hard to understand when you are technically challenged. Oh and whats it going to achieve? a lesson well learned. Think twice before saying consoles are better than pc speaiclally on one of maxishines war machines videos... :D

  • @neonzion7 - Lol, I would never say consoles are better than PCs. Why would I own a gaming PC instead of an XBox or PS3 then? I thought that was "REALLY obvious and common sense". So I'm sorry to be so "ANGRY", I'm just a retard who offends people for no DAMN REASON.

  • @MyRandomReviews mhm, thats what you have been saying. yes you are a retard who offends people for no damn reason =)

  • @neonzion7 "Ignorant people play consoles". So you are better then people who can't afford gaming pcs? You aren't ignorant for calling console gamers ignorant, while conveniently forgetting that a $300 xbox can play games that require a 500(minimum) computer to play relatively well? Yes people who own consoles are so ignorant.

  • @neonzion7 The 360 is getting Crysis 2, and being able to play it at 1080p while looking relatively good. I doubt a gts 250 with 2 GB ram will be able to run at 1080 at a constant 30 FPS. oh and you forgot to add in a OS. Or as you you claim trying to match a system with no OS. Well i don't think you can run games without a OS, so add 109 for win 7(don't be a pirate), oh wow you go up to $419.but wait where's the disk drive?that's like $30 so 440 for a basic computer that can barely run a game

  • @pdavid24 You are the biggest DIPSHIT i have ever seen. Xbox 360 DOES NOT PLAY ANYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY game at 1080p, it upscales. I DID NOT CLAIM THAT< THE OTHER GUY DID AND I SAID THE EXACT THING U SAID. Dude you are slacking. The other guy said that shit about the OS. Use linux if ur not a pirate. Hard drive was already included FUCK HEAD. Damn your even dumber than MyRandomReviews. Wow you failll. reasearch before you write shit you have no idea what you are talking about...

  • @pdavid24 Thats cute, the gts 250 is about as strong as a 9600. Thats saying something, that cards almost 4 years old.

Have you seen the graphics on the xbox? i like the xbox, but seriously they arent the greatest.

  • @LilVietMan the gts 250 is equivelant to the 9800GTX+

  • @need1992 or you can say its a badly coded game...

  • Comment removed

  • @need1992 apparently the new one runs faster, it's all about better coding.

  • he, maxishine is there really much difference between the gtx 480 and the 580 ?, i am thinking of the 480 because it just looks plain awesome, and fits my build theme, and i am also getting it for almost half the price of a 580

  • lol, videocard meltdown in progress xD

  • I thought i have high temperature of my GPU but you have much higher. mine is until 60 degrees

  • This is fantastic for a single card solution! Surely the only reason why you'd run this in SLI is if you were running your games in higher resolutions than 1920x1080.

  • U must be son of bill gates. Man it took me almost an year to buy a nice computer n u change ur hardwares every fucking week.

  • @JackRyson He gets payed for this you do realise?

  • @sacredgeometry no he doesn't. he has a regular job. also has videos of it on his channel.

  • @k4ZE106 ? Hes a relatively high rating partner Im pretty sure he does.

  • @sacredgeometry would be new to me. where dos it say that? i'm on his forums and i'm pretty sure he said somewhere that he paying for that from his normal job.

  • @sacredgeometry nwm i found it myself ^^

  • @k4ZE106 p.s. I have been subscribed to him since his 8800gtx vids which were a long time ago...and I know he has/had a home copying business.
