Keep promoting yourself and you'll be able to pick your future in music. Be picky about who you tie yourself to, as far as other musicians, you're ahead of the game by quite a bit for your age, so don't settle for musicians too far behind your skill set. Let your "jam buddies" know that they had better keep up or expect to be replaced, lol. Your best bet is to find guys that can push you ahead.

You seem to do better with the NEWER metal songs. I think you're too good for BASIC Lars Ulrich drumming. Metallica's drumming isn't technical enough for you and you seem like a very technical drummer. Would love to see you play some older rush (Jacob's Ladder, or Natural Science). Maybe you can play some Slayer from South of Heaven. There are TONS of fills in that album and you would give Dave Lombardo a run for his money.
