lol you really and you really find out where your tax dollars go when this happens... they havent repaired flood gates since 1993 flood. and i pay levee taxes each year... its a joke.. fema denied us any help two weeks ago... its amazing how the midwest just gets overlooked. i'm sorry for all your losses, things can change so quick but good people are always there to help, the govt and media just wants the attention though and not lend a hand.
@proscriptus the missouri set a new record this year flowing at 165,000cfs (cubic feet a second) at gavins point damn in south dakota. when it reached us in southwest iowa it was over 190,000 cfs, old record was in 1997 at 85,000 at gavins point damn. we just havent had any publicity on our flood really. its basically marshall law. you cant use the interstate because its under water, you cant boat.... you cant get within 5 miles of the river. terrible, thousands of acres under water
