I've always been wary of using rubbing alcohol, I've seen it destroy the lamination plate on some cartridges before. Obviously if it works for you, it works. But I prefer the same method only with a splash of windex in place of alcohol.

Thanks! I had a new one year old HP cartridge stored ready to use and wouldn't work until I tried this. Worked 100%
