Well i am one and believe me yea the gear will keep you saffer for a short term time there not built to be in direct flame or eplosions like that at all. If i put my gear on and stand near something either burning or blowing up at those tempuraturs my gear would burn too. We still get burns wh en we have our gear on, and fyi fire gear again is fire retardent. And how could u say this is faked????
