I heard a rumor that at 4:40 Josh is using a technique called "butterfly tapping" yet I can find nothing on this type of tapping, can some shed some light on this technique, I want to develop something like it.

I though this song was great on the album, but far from the best song. I have no Idea how, but whatever has been changed about the song here is just perfect, defiantly my favourite recording of any song. This really shows that if executed properly any of your songs have the potential to be your best. Beautiful song, but I don't know why they so heavily edited the guitar. The section at 4.35 sounds like it has either a really tight noise gate on it, or they've just put it together note by note in the recording software. Really doesn't seem like he's legitimately playing that :/
