Father Jerome is famous for building churches in Australia and the Bahamas, built the Hermitage and all of this great landmark by himself, by hand! All those steps are hand carved in the hill. He also created and carved all teh stations of the cross, that you see in the shot. Hee truly lived the life of St. Francis Assisi in the Bahamas.
