  • That is absolutely beautiful. May be one day I will take long hours and rigs to do it on my wheel chair.. Well try to and have fun at it. I enjoyed watching you and made me smile :-) Thanks

Any ideas for a carrying holster for cross draw since I am always in a chair. Thanks

  • @arsenalnoesis Crossdraw is my favorite general carry position for a lot of reasons. Many different versions are available, and interestingly enough, I have been developing my own version. It's a fairly radical new design concept that I'd like to see through to fruition, and might be just the thing for you. See my PM to you.

  • man you're awesome

  • I would love to have a SAA "Artillery" Model. Just to commemorate my time serving as a Red Leg (Artillery). But also to shoot with from time to time, I cringe at the thought of a gun made just to be placed on a mantlepiece.

I also have spin a few of my guns just for fun, but I would rather do it with a SAA.

  • Thank you!

  • There's nothing like slamming a long, silver bullet into a well-oiled, well-lubricated chamber..." -Revolver Ocelot

  • That was nice. My dad said he could spin a gun when he was little but i think he was using a fanner 50 lol

  • This is a really usefull vid. That is quite an imposing gun aswell, when you pointed it at the camera you really get a sense of how large the .45LC is! What would you say the recoil from the .45LC is compareable to?

  • @MrJmak223 It's similar to the .45ACP or .44spl... about twice the recoil of a .38, but it's not at all "sharp" like a .357mag. - it's a nice "thump"...a solid, manly handshake, that's not at all abusive, but still lets you know that you've got a good deal of wallop in a rather portable package. :-))

  • having fun with SACS

  • Stop making single-action vids....you're making me want to buy one! :)

  • @VolunteerMinimum dude single actions are kinda schweet eh?

I want one now too, i saw one the other day for 300$ in decent shape

  • Love it!

  • fun to watch. great video

  • that was epic!

  • Comment removed

  • if that was not to bad i would hate to see the good one nice video

  • iam japanese man! very good!! thanks ,forever

  • I made a mistake. I wrote New Ruger Vaquero LL instead of SS (stainless steel)

  • Like how modest you are, great video!

  • Your video is very interesting and fun. Thanks and regards. (I have a .45 L.C. Ruger New Vaquero L L and I like to play guitar too.)

  • Wow... this is the most interesting Firearm video I've watched without a single round being fired. I know it's been years since you've made these, but you have GOT to do an instructional on that gunplay, it was phenomenal!

  • wow that is some GOOD gun spinning in my opinion :) really like your vids chris!! It is fair to say that you are one of the guys who got me into gun spinning myself! Will post some vids in the futere :)

    take care!

  • 7:08 pelvic thrust

  • you forgot the duster coat with a whole in the pocket to draw unseen

  • love the video, Thank You ! love my Vaquero .45 too, What a CREAMPUFF !

    could shoot it for hours.

I like your "Double Loop" holster, mine is a DeSante single loop that leaves the trigger open but other than that I like it alot.

@ Cade johnson: whatever you get I would suggest a tie-down for riding on your bike, nothing feels worse than coming back into camp to discover your rig is empty. "D'oh !" and you can still unlash it quick enough if you smell trouble a comin' lol

  • nice very nice

  • Damnnnn this guys voice plus the cowboy shooting hes gotta be relatedto Goerge Bush

  • @415hustle lmao, he almost sounds like Jay Leno to me.

  • Press 9 repeatedly.

  • "I just love the feeling of sliding a long silver bullet, into a well greased chamber"- Revolver Ocelot

  • really wicked .

i am here in Scotland where real hand guns are BANNED in direct violation of your civil liberty's

blank firers are not and i have a uberti peacemaker to practice

your videos are top class and inspiring

  • Could you make an video for teaching the gunspinning?

  • your fast, i just bought the new ruger vaquero

  • you look like Reverend Ray McCall

  • I missed that episode of Gunsmoke where Matt was wearing cargo shorts and a sport shirt . Seriously though great tips and I wish I had 1/2 your speed . I just have a cheap rig made in mexico and a Uberti Cattleman 45 L.C. You know what they say poor boys have poor ways. Thanks for sharing ,you make it look easy. Anyone who has played around with a six gun knows otherwise ! Great hobby.

  • nice gunplay!!...i enjoyed....5 stars.

  • Damn that's some crazy stuff there!!

I wish I have a colt! I'm so into it man!!!

  • I watched your step by step videos and you used the second holster, and you told us to pull the hammer down while the gun was still in the holster. How would you do that with the first holster you used if the leather was in the way of the hammer?

  • Great speed and skill !!

But you just quoted American movies.. what about Spaghetti Western? :)

Clint Eastwood came out from there and they were (according to me) much better than romantic Hollywood movies. They were epic, and not talking only of Sergio Leone's ones. I give you some titles (Sergio Leone excluded): Face to Face (S. Sollima) , The Big Gundown (S. Corbucci), Day Of Anger (T.Valerii) and many others that made a great history of changing in contemporary filmography.

  • no wonder his hammer is broken, he keeps dry fire'n the gun. but nice video! and i never thought about your gun falling out of the quickdraw holster if your riding your horse

  • I often find myself assuming into the "classic gunmen's crouch" whenever I meet people. Most of the time I'm not wearing a gun, but it's force of habit from back in the day I guess.

  • Holy fucking balls. That was amazing.

  • cool i learned lot of things i would never have tthought about

    hope i'll get one someday

  • You have just made my mind up for me as to wether or not i would spend money and time on single action shooting. Im a staunch ww2 collector, but i think i may have room in the safe for a couple of six shooters! Exceptional vid and skills, thanks!

  • great video...

  • well presented and easy to watch and learn form, many thanks

  • nice gun work, but how does that not make your forearms massive

  • Comment removed

  • Anyone else expecting a Steve Irwin-esque accent??? Cool vid, even if you are wearing flip-flops.

  • easy on the gun dam

  • I dont care what anyone says you are bad ass!!! This video has made me want to get into fast draw. Keep up the good work, and keep making videos!

  • 13 poeople did not draw quick enugh

  • That is a sweet hat... form fitting I'd guess? lol jk

    Nice job!

  • Not 2 bad Uncle Tony! Just don't forget 2 remember 2 keep your hammer down own a empty chamber or you'll be hoppin' around like a drunk 1 legged hooker own SpringBreak for sure. ol' hoss. Fine shootin' rig & like your hat 2. My Uncle Billy always said if you don't won't 2 get shot then don't shoot at anythang that might shoot back at ya, & that sounds about right 2 me. " There's only 2 kinds of critters in this town boy, the quick & the dead !" - Kid Reynosa, Los Vegas, New Mexico 1887

  • I love how humble you are after pulling off some of the fastest draws Ive ever seen

  • are u in arizona???

  • @Cutlerylover1 lucky arizona still has a touch of american real law and lets you have a gun on your side. fucking feds lol

  • its a 4 5/8 inch barrel!!!!!!!!!!

lol no biggy just bein retarded.

i'm looking for an open carry holster for mine that will be quick on the draw but not let my bloomin' gun fall out while i'm on my motorcycle. will this holster suffice?

  • @cadeMFjohnson

No sir- the Ruger uses a 4 5/8, but the Colt and clones are 4 3/4.

    As you said, no biggie.

Assuming that you really want security, but are unwilling to have a thumb-break or other mechanical tension other than fit and friction, I'd probably contact Milt Sparks Holsters. They have a patented adjustable welt (tension) that should work great. Quality is tops. They don't show exactly what you want on the website, but they are well worth a call or email.

  • @ChrisGordan i just came back to comment that i just realized you weren't using the ruger, you only mentioned it haha. i see you caught it before i did.

thank you for your response, i've just watched your tutorial videos on fast draw and am very happy with them! thank you!

p.s. will deffinately check out milt sparks

  • @ChrisGordan How do you spin those guns so fast? I can't get my pistol to move like that. There must be some exercises you can do to start mastering the more difficult tricks?

  • @cadeMFjohnson where the fuck do you live the wild west? lol

  • 13 people didn't like this because they were slow on the draw!

  • OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO PERFECT!!!

  • awesome!

  • Thanks for the video! I've watched it many times. I have a 38 for SD and a rifle for everything else but am going to buy a 1873 Uberti to mess around with "spinning". Great job! That looks so fun!

  • Dear Chris,

Great stuff! I've got a real Colt 7 1/2 inch and a hand made loop holster and belt. You mention in some of the comments that you have made some instruction videos. I can't find them on You Tube. Are you selling them as downloads or CD's?

    Admiringly,

    John

  • 3 year old video, but I'm just now coming across it. Very nice and I learned a few thinks. Thanks for posting ........3 years ago.

  • great video! if you are shooting blancs or wax are you shooting at targets or is it just how fast you can fire the gun, I mean do you have a score on targets? thanks

  • @selrod55

It depends...all fast draw matches do have a target to be hit either with a wax bullet, or with the spray of unburned powder granules from blanks, that must break a balloon to stop the timer.

Shooting "off the button" to determine the speed of the draw without the reaction, is something folks try just to see how fast the motion itself is, but I'm not aware of any competitions that have it as one of the actual events. (Somebody correct me if I'm wrong on this one).

  • Boa fuck! That was the coolest vid i have ever seen!

    Man you rock!

  • You'r the best ehehehe

  • thank you,,,fun watching.

  • はやくしろ

  • very entertaining good job

  • Who could possibly dislike this video?

  • you're my new idol :) please add me as a friend.it seems you know a lot about the old west.i'm writing a novel (western) and I have few questions.can't find any books about the old west in my language :(

  • I must say, this is a great and fun video. I really appreciate the upload.

  • This is amazing. I've been getting more and more interested in single action revolvers lately and this video makes me want to try it out. Its much more unique and fun than semi auto handguns. And the history behind these revolvers is pretty awesome as well. Nice video.

  • LOL ur abusing the crap outta that colt...

  • Single action is Great fun.Great Video to watch again and again.....

  • Single action is Great fun.Great Video to watch again and again.....

  • the spins are sick

  • Sembra Revolver Ocelot!

  • hahaha what do you mean with western fan?! XD

i love the gun spinning man serieus. i think Clint eastwood was awesome just bought some classic movies come to think of it. like hang 'em high, a fist full of dollars, for a few dollars more, pale rider, oh once upon a time in the west LOVE it XD

  • Hey Chris,

Pretty slick work. Your not bad. I watched your series 1 through 5 and found it very interesting. You ought to do a series in reverse. Start with the end result and work back to back to the basics. I've been out of the game for a long time. Good to see somebody keeping the faith.

As far as fastest on film I'll go with Steve McQueen.

    Safe shooting!

    Pete

  • killer moves dude

  • Now thats

    High Speed Low Drag

  • why do you at the end hit the hammer ? with the other hand or why do you take over ur hand over the hammer if u learned us in ur teaching to do it with ur thumb

  • @AKTC0 It's because the above video was done with no preparation, and showed a hodge-podge of things. When this was posted, I never had any intention of posting anything else specifically related to single actions.

I simply had an overwhelming number of requests to start from the basics and show it in great detail, hence the instructional series.

  • what are you going to shoot? isn't it pointless to play with guns in real? I mean you can train to use one for self defence or for somekind of line of work, but what's the purpose? Play some Modern warfare 2 multiplayer fps insted... where you actually can kill people and piss them off.

  • @Luburium there are contests about fast draws

  • This guy kicks serious ass.

  • man, u shd be one of th motion tracker guys for cowboy games, eg red dead redemption/revolver

  • this guy is my new hero!

  • Badass mate ! Really badass , Outa practice my arse hahaha . Get practicin and post another

  • @OfficialMikeMotter ME lol I though of revolver ocelot lol

  • @OfficialMikeMotter

I'm here because of Metal Gear Solid as well. XD

  • Chris that is great. maybe you could add a new ending, shoot the camera with a blank, that would be very neat,,, Phoenix.

  • Damn man your cool as hell! I wish you were my uncle or something cause goddamn it would be fun as hell at your place!

  • Cool! Lol So much info

  • well said chis i do love tombstone val was what put that magic to movie loved him as doc but im pretty sure it was edited that way

  • Awesome Cowboy Action !! Thanks For the Great Video!!!!

  • Great video. I was looking around for some videos of single action and just happened across yours. I never realized how much went into drawing.

  • i gotta say your vids helped me get better, thanks man! much regards from a young belgian hoping to be as good as you someday!

  • I was wondering, for someone who seems to be such a fan of the western era, have you at all looked into the upcoming game, Red Dead Redemption? It's a full open roaming game that puts you into the "end days" of the west. The immersion is very high, and I think someone who's a fan of the west would get a real kick out of it. You should look into it. Love the videos!

  • Real nice! Greetings from Germany

  • man you are a great teacher , very ingaging. you should do a full lenth video . I would buy it !

  • thats cool man wish i could do that

  • Awesome. Where are you from?

  • This video was awesome :P

  • six bullets, more than enough to kill anything that moves

  • gratzz 5 stars

  • I do this with my model 1911 colt!

  • Great !!! More on fanning plz ! I just started with that.

  • inspiring.. your passion, your hours of practice at something you love to do- all these things comes thru very well..

  • Hi Chris, thanks for posting your information video's, they are very well explained and an absolute demonstration of what should be done and what should not be done.

Here in the UK we have a complete pistol ban which is not so good for people who would love to partake in Colt 45 saa pistol shooting. ( we can use blank firers )

Keep up the good work because many people will benifit from your experience.

PS when you want to let me have your $500 rig just ask me for my address lol.

  • But what about revolvers?

  • @BurtonKelly0 Hi Chris, thanks for your reply, Unfortunately we are allowed absolutely nothing at all, blank firers are about the best we can manage, most of those have to have a bright colour either in the body or at the end of the barrel to show it is imitation.

Pistols in the UK are a no go at the moment.

  • WOW, that sucks. Hopefuly that will change in time. I sometimes think that politicans want to regulate just because they can and use something as an excuse.

  • "One more time.

    Haaannn....." I loled xD.

Man, you're amazing. I really enjoyed your video and loved the Texas Roll. xD

  • THAT IS AWESOME. this inspires me to buy one of these. HELP! the revolver i want is the exact one that the sundance kid, or "Robert Redford" uses in, Butch cassidy and the sundance kid. Does anyone know what it is, or the specs of it?

  • AMAZING WORK! :O

  • Revolver Ocelot - "You're pretty good!"

  • Nice work!

  • man can you show us how to do the texas rol agin ? too fast :D

  • Chris. Thank you so much for this video. Learnt lots in 10 minutes. I want to learn spinning and I tried for a few minutes with my 7" Ruger Blackhawks. It made my finger hurt in a matter of a minute. Is it better to start with single action Colt clones? I don't have one yet unfortunately.

    Thank you.

  • i'm currently in the market for a single action long colt .45, you mentioned ruger being a better quality of gun over the colt. i've also looked into u.s. firearms as an option for my .45 needs. any thoughts on those brands.? oh, and that was fast, nice work.

  • Chris i wish that you would make a DVD of this fast draw demonstration, for us to purchase.

  • Comment removed

  • The fastes actor to ever shot a gun was actually Val Kilmer from Tombstone. He was fast. Just look at one of the final scenes when Doc is dueling Johnny Ringo....

  • I was referring to the actors who actually participated in FD matches in its hayday.

Remember, in a movie, draws are done DELIBERATELY slower for the camera, giving more clear frames, and allowing them to edit back and forth between actors and/or speed it up as much as they think would be believable. Kilmer might indeed be quite good, but there's no definitive way to tell from the movie.

  • @zbarneyz the fastes actor to ever shot a gun nicejob ps he didnt shot he shoot but he didnt shoot because movies are fake

  • You bought that belt of the NRA store my dad and are members of the nra were ordering though

  • Love this video! gotta come back and watch it at least once a month. lol

  • your uncle rulez!!!

  • Damn, i wanna get that good...

  • Wow.

  • Is ur father revolver oclet???

  • I had no idea the man from Curious George was a bad ass!

  • @TheProsecuter I'm a HUGE fan of you Chris, but the Curious George comment made me chuckle :) I can see you have a sense of humor to you, as it hasn't been deleted. Thanks for the great videos...I would absolutely buy a dvd set...seriously.

  • nearly every man wants to shoot a real gun

  • Here mate I just wanna say that was proper class that like. I'm from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, England and I've never even fired a gun before but watching this video makes me wish I could come and some shooting with you. Keep it up like.

  • You have crazy awesome gun skills!

  • This was an oddly great video. 5 Stars fer ya uncle Tony!

  • still think best hollwood fast draw - was michael landon--

  • sweet moves kid! whatever you do, stay away from Lincoln

  • great vid, man.

  • "when you run out of ammo, spank him with th holster belt"

  • GUN.....$650

    GUN BELT.....$500

    SMILE ON FACE.....PRICELESS

    your having to much fun!!!

  • "Nah not too bad" Are u kidding me!!! thats freaking awsome!

  • Awesome! Keep 'em coming!

  • Man, that's incredible. "I was never particularly good at spinning....but....." *swish, swish, SWISH* Man, you have crazy draw skills with a SA. You're like an incarnation of the Wild West quick shooters, serious, modest, honest, yet straight to the point, very knowledgeable with your guns, techniques and form. Automatic 5 star and a subscription brother, that was great!!!!

  • Thanks chris for the great video. It was full of useful tips.

  • Bro, that was kick ass, you should be in the movies. that spinning was just sick! love the quickdraw, How long have you been doing this to get so good.

  • I've played around with SA's on and off, for about 20 years or so. BUT...

I'm quite sure that anyone who takes it seriously and practices daily, will see huge improvements in just weeks. From there, the progress comes more slowly, but in 3-6 months, a serious student can often get a lot better than I am, simply because I don't practice daily, and sometimes don't touch them for weeks. Most of my real-world shooting is double action revolvers and shotguns. This stuff is just for fun ;)

  • Man that video was kick ass, I loved it and I'm sending it to my brother right now.

See I'm about to go order a colt cowboy cause Ive wanted one since I was a kid. Love the fast draw holster and the mexican loop and want both to play with

  • Great video. Thanks for sharing your skill.

  • i love SAA

  • i recommend anyone to get a ruger "new vaquero" peackeeper rather than a ruger "new blackhawk". The new vaquero is lighter and framework is slightly slimmer in some areas, such as the pistol handle, and rear sight upper frame. The new blackhawk frame is huge slightly bulky pistol handle, modern like adjustable rear sights, and an extra mount for the front sights.

  • You sir can handle your SAA. I have a vaquero that I love shooting black powder with a 250g lead alloy bullet. After watching some of your neat handling tricks, I'm inspired to learn them myself.

  • You are like the real Man With No Name!

Also out of interest, it's been a while since you uploaded this video. Did your Uncle get into single action shooting in the end?

  • Nope...but I did convince him to at least practice more with his Ed Brown "Executive Carry" .45.

    Man, that's one beautiful .45!

  • hot damn

  • HOW COOL IS THAT??!!

  • Chris what a great video, i thoroughly enjoyed that, makes me want to put my svi away, and rush out and buy a nice saa colt.

  • Great videos! Keep up the good work. I'm looking to get a Ruger Vaquero .45lc.

  • hey kkoloftt what do you think the gun was. it was a colt 45.

  • dude really friggen awesome not really much into single action revolvers at first i've been researching on them and I'm hooked and plan to get one or two your video is awesome

  • Good Guy Buddy! You Should Be in Pics.

  • Awesome tricks and vid.Keep it up

  • i have a question for anybody that can help me. i have a single action in 357 mag the the base pin bushing keeps sliding forward and jamming the cylinder in the gun i try to keep it pushed in but it still slides forward maybe i'm not pushing it back far enough if any body can shed light on this problem please anwser

  • Wow his fastest quickdraw can kill anyone without a good perception

  • Very nice :P

  • I was going to make fun of this guys hat, but then I saw him use the gun. Awsome vidio!!!

  • this man is my idol...he looks like ocelot!!!
