you need to verify that you own garrys mod to download

no buy download undead patch set it in steam folder then u have all games but many of the games dont wanna download but gmod do half life and more but u cant online only singeplayer if u dont wanna undead patch more just delete the undead patch out of steam folder and its normal again

@storemor2 ye, but if steam find out that you patched it they will block your account and it wont be usable anymore. so its not smart to do it on ur real account, and i think its best to buy the games, since its what´s right to do (if they dont want to much cash for it ofc ^^)
