  • Ouch that will hurt in The morning!

  • similar thing happened on my return flight to Montreal on an Air Canada Jazz Dash 8..my video is on my list...the landing was HARD , scared the hell out of me..

  • This is always a problem with short messages. I was a private pilot, many, many years ago. I fly as a passenger now, and last year more than 160 flights. I must say that Q400 landings are great these days (with Luxair, Air Canada and Lufthansa).

  • You were a private pilot with a DeHavilland Dash 8 Q400 endorsement?????

    Very curious!

  • OUUCH

  • A plane must be designed in a way to also survive hard landings, pilots are not the only factors in hard landings. This plane was built improperly and that is something tha thas been demonstrated through various crashes....

  • Used to be a private pilot. By the way, all my Q400 landings (more than 100) are much improved. Must have been a matter of training.

  • @petervee007: An experienced Q400 pilot, are you?

  • @CADanimal ouch!!!!!!!!! i felt that in my chair... thats no fun at all...

  • Q400 isnt easy to land

  • uuuuuh daat ass krank (brutal)

  • Daat war bestemmt daat Arschlach vu Steyer.

  • the rason the landing gear breaks is because of bad servicing but they are very difficult to land there very sensitive at low altitude and like to float

  • @lukeperrin123456 Rubbish!

  • the dash is not easy to land....

  • No landing gear will stand up to ham-handed pilots, unfortunately.

  • Well, that was when undercarriages kept breaking on Q400s. They have gotten better since. Still, high wing planes have such issues anyway. Pilot training helps.

  • @petervee007 must have been a short runway.... come in almost level, put throttle back to idle, short drop on tarmac then nose down right after. avoid nose up or else NLG will get smashed onto tarmac. catastrophe. hmmm that was not fun.

  • Damn that was hard. And the dash 8 gear is more spindly than a connie's nose gear. Surprised it was certified really.
