Well, if a band is to publish a cover, they need permission from the original band, so Deep Purple probably is aware that Turmion Katilot exists, but doesn't really care about their existence too much.

Regardless, I enjoy both bands. It's possible too...

I don't care what genre it's supposed to be, it's a bad take on a classic. Not true to the spirit of the original, nor an inspired departure. I would guess most people who like this stuff don't even know where this song comes from, so I give them credit for turning some more people on to the greatness of Deep Purple MkIII.
