  • Thank you lady ur so funny!

  • I'm going to give it a try.

    Thanks

  • yum, i can't believe i didn't know the proper way to bake a potato, i am 28 yrs old! lol. I am having butter, cheese and chili on mine :)

  • Great video! before this video I made countless attemps to bake a potato and they would always turn out hard. Thanks to this video my husband and I enjoyed the PERFECT baked potato and for the first time he even ate the skin. Keep up the great work! You guys are so cute by the way!

  • I just cooked this. This was not my first baked potatoe, but it had been a while so I came to your video. I just dabbed olive oil on it and did everything else you did, minus the tin foil and it came out great. I will have to make another one tonight. Thank you.

  • Olive oil cooking spray... is that like Pam cooking spray or any other canola oil spray? Understandably one is olive oil and the other is not, but can Pam be used the same way? I thought it was only good for non stick, not for actually cooking the food it self or is that why you use olive oil cooking spray? Presumably it would be safe for eating regardless, since you use it for non stick with food... just never thought of actually using it to coat my food with it.

  • @Jerrid3 Yes, you could use the canola oil spray if you like. Pam makes an olive oil spray as well. Either one will do, or you can not use it and the baked potato will be fine too.

  • hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm thank you : )

  • brushie brushie

  • Mmmmmmm~~those baked potatos looks good.

  • I would like to see a cooking show hosted by this lady.she is funny

  • but how does the whole open up...by itself???

  • @futurredestiny61923 You slice it in the middle first, then squeeze it.

  • can i use microwave oven? how long

  • @roslee7 Not sure, have never tried microwave. I would do a search on YouTube or Google.

  • @roslee7 I just read on one of our comments the 8 minutes will do it.

  • 00:39 rolling...

  • Try it without the foil for the last 30 mins, crispy skins mmmmmmmm!

  • You rock! rule on potatoes!!!!!!!!!!

  • lol i love her voice

  • MAMA THAT LOOKS GOOD!

  • I used to use this way for so long. But for some reason, the laziness of a microwave works great on a potato. Just make sure you microwave it for long enough and have holes in the potato so it can cook correctly. About 8 minutes and you got a good potato (maybe not as great skin, but most of the time the potato inside comes out great)

  • what temp

  • @mjbajblion We bake our potatoes at 400 degrees.

  • I love you guys soo much

  • @ukpkmkk Thank you so much! And thanks for watching.

  • niiiice

  • @boxdown Thanks for watching!

  • Would you like some potato with you butter?

  • how long 2 cook

  • @tyo45 We bake our potatoes for 80 minutes. Thanks for watching.

  • im sorry i didn't understand,....so u mean i dont bake it again?...isnt the cheese supposed to be all melted?

  • @Fanilees You can heat it up a little more if you like. But, the heat of the baked potato will melt the cheese anyway if it is grated.

  • thanks for sharing!...but what do u do after u opened the potato like that?...am i supposed to put butter, cream, cheese and all that stuff in...and then just bake the whole thing again? for how long?

    thanks!

  • @Fanilees After you put all that stuff in, you eat it! Thanks for watching!

  • What was the second thing you sprinkled on the potatos before baking? Tony's what?

  • @Ninety9Soulz Tony Chacher's Creole Seasoning.

  • @mikestokes1 oh ok thanks

  • You are too funny. I love your accent! Awesomeness

  • Thanks for watching! We have fun cooking together - even simple stuff. --beryl

  • this video is great. I like the part with opening the potato restaraunt style. i never knew this.

  • you dont poke holes????

  • We've tried poning holes, and don't find that it makes any difference when baking potatoes in the oven. I think you really need to do it if you're making them in a microwave, although I don't know for sure as we've never done a baked potato in a microwave ourselves. Thanks for watching!

  • LOVE IT!!!

  • Thank you!

  • LOL she forgot to turn the oven on.

Now why in most of the vidoes they say NOT to wrap the potato in foil? LOL

  • Don't know why "most videos say NOT to wrap the videos in foil"...We've done it both ways, and both ways are good. We like the foil wrap because it leaves the skin softer.

  • Foil steams the potato in it's own juice. I always bake mine at 370 for 45-1hr.unraped with a little oil and maybe a poke. The will come out fluffy!

  • Love to see people with respect for potatos!

  • Potatoes are great! Thanks for watching our videos!

  • i like how you talk i nice video

(You wouldn't know how to make green beans in some sort of bacon grease white sauce would you? Had that once and can't find it ever again. It was awesome!)

    5/5 stars from Savannah GA.

  • Thank you! Yes, we do make some awesome green bean casserole. We have a green bean recipe on the website, I don't remember if it's the casserole or not.

  • Great video. I did exactly as you said, and it seems like my baked potato is gonna turn out real well. One side is done, I've just turned it over and will now wait for the other side to cook. The olive oil and salt are great tips.

  • Thank you. Please let us know how it turned out. And thanks for watching our videos!

  • Oh amazing! It was perfect! I never thought I'd be able to make such a brilliant baked potato. I've been trying to make them since I was a teenager but they always turned out ruined. Thanks for the great video!

  • Fantastic! Thanks for letting us know!

  • Nice! A baked potato seems so easy to do, but to you've really got to know what you are doing to get them just right. Tried this and the taters come out marvelous

  • Thank you!

  • Before this video I would just stick the potatoes in the microwave lol. Thanks for the tip I tired it and it came out great!!

  • They do taste better baked in an oven. Thanks for watching and writing us!

  • eat it with cream cheese! so yummy

  • That sounds good! Thanks for watching!

  • Here's something for you to try, if you want true restaurant quality "baked" potatoes and not "steamed baked" potatoes:

Do not cover them in foil; rather, puncture them with a knife or fork four times on each side. Oil and season as stated in this video, and then place the potatoes on the middle positioned rack of your preheated oven of 400 degrees F. Be sure to place a cookie sheet or foil on the rack below your potatoes.

They'll come out perfect and "flaky" (inside) in just over an hour.

  • Thanks for your tip. We tried them this way, and they came out fine. Beryl prefers the foil because it makes the skin a little softer and easier to eat, she says. I did like the skin a little more without the foil. Thanks for watching!

  • Awesome, love you guys.

  • Thank you so much! We really appreciate you!

  • haaa. i was trying to cook this earlier but i didnt know how to so they're just sittin there lol.... but this is a lot of help :)

  • ciccionazza!!!

    va a magnar la polenta!!!!!

  • Thanks for watching our videos!

  • Um......If you wrap the potato in aluminum foil you are actually steaming the it Just toss it in the oven without wraping it.

  • We've baked potatoes withoug the foil, and they do come out great. I just like to eat the skin too, and the skin seems to come out too hard without the foil wrap.

    Thanks for watching and writing!
