  • when are they going to put this train on the 7?

  • What happened to the old South Ferry?

  • was the new south ferry station built with new trackage and tunnel boring or was that track already there and they added on the station?

  • @4P3607 Everything is new. The tunnel, tracks and the platform. They blew out a wall along the original route between Rector Street and old South Ferry, created a new tunnel, built a new platform and station, placed tracks and connected them to the original tracks of the (1) line just south of Rector Street. The old South Ferry loop still exists and still accessible. Not used in regular service though.

  • Cool. Was that transit worker at the beginning a friend or a total stranger? If i was recording and some MTA employee was walking right at me... i would prepare for trouble after what happened to me the last time i was in New York.. Long story.

  • @sovetskii52 idk them but since i had a few other rail fans with me they were cool..

  • this is an odd site...0_o , whats next R160s in the Bronx???

  • nice one haha. i wonder when they will run R142s on that line xD

  • Nice catch; R142 cars 6301-6305 in the front half of the train were the first five cars delivered!

  • Yup! 1999 =P!
