  • Like in many other situations, if Barney had listened to Andy in the first place, it would have stopped the problem before it started, or rather nipped it in the bud. :) Loved this episode, by the way. Barney and Thelma Lou make a great pair.

    If you notice the passenger side is normally on the sidewalk side so it's just safety not to exit the car in the street.

    The cars back then had bench seats so it was easy just to slide over.

    Now when they leave the car in the driveway places like that I'd think they wanted to avoid getting around the steering wheel and it made for a more graceful exit for filming.
