can anyone confirm about Japanese voices and english subs?

@Drakedog777 You can switch the original Japanese voices if you wish. I,laughed when i noticed there is also an option to turn off voices altogether

Also as great as the English voice acting maybe, it doesnt really compare to the original Japanese voice overs. YES there is BOTH and ENG and JP audio track the player can switch to if you're wondering. In my opinion I highly reccomend the JP track as Rorona's voice actress fits her character the most. As I stated before the alchemy system in this game is so addicting. If you're a fan of NISA games, make sure this game is yours. BEST $70 bucks I've spent on a game!!

DO NOT PASS UP ON THIS GAME ... It may seem very simple and sugary sweet at first but its such the perfect ingredient to make you start caring for Rorona's circumstances. After mid game this game becomes like crack and you end up caring so much for Rorona you don't want to stop. The jokes and punchlines are well delivered in typical anime fashion build up. Keep in mind that though the battle system maybe a bit simple for most, it's not meant to be the main focus of the game.

For the record this is the only game I've gotten past the first two hours of in almost half a year, and I've tried just about every major release since my husband's an avid gamer. In fact, I've played it twice. I'm also a fan of classic JRPGs. If you like the item creation and character interactions aspects of those games, you'll like it. It's not an open world RPG though. Go rent Fallout if you want a game like that. Jeez, can't we just have different genres and not judge each other?

Who cares what haters think, I don't need a perfect game to enjoy. I am a huge fan of JRPG games. Atelier Rorona looks a decent game, I will try it out. I played Atelier Iris and Growlanser 2 + 3 on the PS2 a lot as well as other slow ass turn-based battle games. If you believe this game is for pedophiles, well then you have something wrong in your mind.

Terrible predicament, I fucking love RPG's, loved them for years and there isn't enough on next gen but I'm a 24 year old man and this game looks like it's for 12 year old girls, I fucking hate that loli anime style, it's for paedophiles.

I might rent it and see how much of the game I can stomach before giving up on next-gen RPG's altogether.

@DirEnGay - Understandable, but you do realize there are 12 year old girls playing ps3, as well? My younger cousins follow me around all the time, and I play Assassin's Creed a lot... i dont really want them playing AC or similar games. There are also very few games that have a lead female character, so once in a while when they release one, most female gamers are interested in them (generally). I'm getting this one cuz it looks cute, has a female lead character, and my cousins can enjoy it too!

@MiSSloveish I understand completely, I have nothing against cutesy games coming out, but there is a serious lack of decent RPG's on the next gen consoles, it's like a dying genre now. I think millions of people would agree with me on this, but when 1 RPG gets released every 6 months it sicls that it ends up looking like this or being as terrible as the others that came out in the past 4 years.

PS1, PS2, SNES, etc, had loads of games like this but they also had plenty of great adult ones too.

@DirEnGay - yeah that's true! actually this game looked pretty good at first. But then i watched a few more videos and gameplays of it..and i realized this game isnt that good at all !! I doubt even my 12 year old cousins would be that into it. I'm a huge RPG fan, and I hope they make better RPGs. Its so disappointing to see a huge collection of sports games (which i like too), but not at all enough of GOOD RPGs (which is probably the whole reason i like gaming!).

@MiSSloveish then again there are some kids who are like 7 playing call of duty and other rated M games. Ps3 has low on rpgs and im a hardcore rpger, i am very upset that other consoles have better rpgs then ps3. btw evantaully kids will learn about sex, voilence, drugs, ect. In 2011 ps3 will start gaining rpgs like dragon age 2 and two worlds 2 (which i reconmand getting) for right now the best hardcore rpg is dragon age ultimate edition.
