  • this is fake there is no online mode in mkdd so this=fake

  • @yoshiller64 Umm... lol. This isnt a video of the online mode for this game, since as you pointed out that doesnt exist. This is a video of the LAN mode of the game being played online through a LAN tunneling program called Xlink Kai. The title and video description explain that.

  • @Lazyhoboguy i have no idea what that means so ill just take your word for it

  • @yoshiller64 LAN can used as an online mode if you have the right tools. And this game had LAN.

  • I wish there were more videos of this LAN Mode, all the videos that are long have commentary and commentary mainly has swear words.

  • just play the wii with a gc controller n use gc courses

  • @caolanr8 Well I don't own a wii heh. Also I really like this game because of how you can have 2 characters with different abilities for each car.

  • @Lazyhoboguy well i had alot of gc games mario party mario sunshine luigis mansion smash bros melee but i nevefr played this so im not gonna judge

  • No way when I played this back in 2003-2005 the connection didn't suck like this I am in Texas and played with people in Oklahoma, Missisipi, well almost every state in the Central Time zone and wasnt like this and also I remember it being full with Gamecubes connected what happenned to that?

  • @Jermz1997 Well I say in the video that I tunneled this while I was in California and the other player was in New Jersey. That is across the country. Also, the speed of your network connection is a factor in how GC games will run over LAN tunneling. Still, GC games tunnel worse then games on other consoles because of how the GC games are designed to work over LAN modes.

  • Wow. This is garbage. Why even have it?

What they should do is make Xlink compatible with emulators like Dolphin so you can play straight from your computer via iso files.

  • @Sablicious This is not xlink kai's fault at all. It is the fault in how the games were made to be played over the LAN mode. GC games still can be LAN tunneled if you live close to the other person. The whole point of XLink Kai is to keep consoles online games still working. Adding in emulator support would defeat the whole purpose of Xlink Kai.

  • @Lazyhoboguy No it wouldn't because it's the _GAME_ that matters, not what hardware you play it on.

Also, emus have the advantage of tweak-ability regards graphics, resolution etc -- something consoles do not. And when it comes to low-ish res Gamecube etc consoles, a decent emu blows the originals out fo the water.

  • I'd sure like to play MK:DD online XD

  • seriously worst intro ever seen

  • ty for the upload

  • I knew that i could do 8 players within the same house. me and my cousins always did 8 players but 8 players online i didn't know that. first how do you do it and second does the connection suck

  • This was so awesome back then. Are the servers still up? :o

  • Nintendo fail.

  • Question. In LAN mode, what options are available for courses? Can you play a whole cup? Can you do All Cup?

  • @pikminimon I cannot remember. I will have to go look again.

  • so... you dont need two local gamecubes for this? this could be used regionally or worldwide?

  • @DeadNintendoBoys Yes in theory this would work worldwide. See this video though? The frame rate drops so much the game becomes unplayable if you try playing this online with someone far away. If you live in the same city or state with someone it can work, but any farther than that and things slowdown way too much.

  • I think with a Breitband Adapter it will be very nice !!

  • que lag estan

  • slown

  • So, what are the tools you need to do this?

  • Please follow the instructions in my last comment. IF you read the FAQs on the Xlink website it will tell you how to do it. The only think it probably doesn't mention is that you need a broadband adapter in your gamecube to play online.

  • WIFI, How do you do this!

  • I am not sure exactly what you are asking me there.

  • I'm saying that how do you do this?

  • Click on "more info" to the right of the video. After you have read that click on xlink kai's website that is linked their and read their FAQs. Just be aware that gamecube games cannot be played online well in most cases, unless you live very close to the other people. PS2, Xbox, and psp games work well on xlink though.

  • Well, to be more specific, I'm asking you how do you do this?

  • why ask here when you can go to xlink kai site and learn how. if you dont know the url use google to find it. they have tutorials on the site.

  • damn this thing lets you go online with gamecube games too? I need one of those cables

  • I wish those smiley face guys would quit getting into accidents while driving. Maybe they need some Driver's Ed.?

  • I really liked the start of this vid. Probably one of my favs so far of everything you did. :D

  • hah thanks

  • Weeeeee!

It's been so long since I've played a Mario Kart game.

  • Heh, there is a million of them out now. Yet, I still only have the n64 and GC ones.

  • DO KIRBY'S AIR RIDE

  • I don't have that game yet.

  • Haha...so SLOW
