The best way to let someone go veg is to let them kill a chicken by themselves to eat it. It's the best way to realize an animal has a life, when we see it suffering in our front and we can't do anything about it. It was how I became a vegan. I saw my friend killing it on my front, then it was my turn to kill another chicken by myself, I couldn't do it, I became a vegan.

If someone crammed you and your family into a small room where you couldn't even move and let you suffer like that for several years giving you only enough food to barely survive on, then you'd make really tasty burgers, people would love to eat you ^_^ doesn't that sound like a great life? =)
You don't have to be a vegetarian if you don't want to, but your logic is a little off, what if I told you I liked the taste of Mexicans, I guess there's nothing wrong with me eating them, why eat animals when I'm having Mexican for dinner XD im not saying you are, im just pointing out the flaw in the logic behind your description, lol
