@0cer0 well if s.y.didn't exist then grunge would sound a hell of a lot different..put it that way...but on the other hand they had grunge flavor but they also had something more...I guess more of an artistic approach...not to say grunge is not artistic but s.y. experimented with a lot of chords with reverb and delay and chorus...when they would get mellow in a song it almost reminds me of pink floyd in a way...

Definitly the best song ever by Sonic Youth for me.

And despite the bad sound quality of the video it always makes me shiver and brings me tears when at 2'30 when they start making those sonic bell noises with their guitars. SO SONIC YOUTH. I could write a book about those "bells"

Daydream is good but I personally think it's overrated. I just don't get all the hype. I can understand Goo cuz the songs are just as concise but better IMO.

Self-titled is ok but I think it's too repetitive and the songs aren't as solid. Kinda like Bad Moon Rising; repetitive. Good though.

It didn't flow with me. The good mellow stuff for me is on albums like Murray St, Washing Machine, and even Thousand Leaves cuz it fit more
