He mentioned the "Task Force 373"; a US assassination squad in Afghanistan with a list of 2000 targets, without any judiciary oversight. These are not the type of info that bolsters the US claim of helping democracy in Afghanistan.

The media coverage is about what I would expect for this. First of all it is one of the biggest military leaks of all time and second Julian Assange is an interesting man, thus it peaks the public's interest. Leaking documents + mysterious stranger = gold only fiction writers dream of. It sells papers, that's why its this big. @dejakhalz Technically, you can start your own internet, its called WAN. Any connection between two computers via network is imitating the internet. This "kill switch" would request ISPs to shut down servers that they allow to host through their connections. ISPs in Switzerland would be unaffected, only American hosted servers would be effected.
Granted this would severely limit the internet, but by definition you can "start" your own internet using the given protocols within your computer.

Wikileaks seems like a very untypical way to censor the internet, which is our freedom of information. The CIA wouldn't have agents stressing the importance of the freedom of information when their goal is the exact opposite. 1) Julian is releasing much more current war crimes.
2) There is still a large group of people who believe the official story, and such controversy could hinder his reputation. It's smart to deny 9/11 truth in HIS case.
3) 9/11 is a small part of the big picture.

I have to admit some doubts about Wikileaks. When they tried to get Julian Assange on a rape rap, we're almost programmed to conclude that its a smear campaign to discredit him. This gives him instant credibility in the minds of the public as the assailed truther. Think about it further, would the government really be so stupid as to pull a stunt like that? They already know how your going to respond. However, I continue to reserve judgement and hope my suspicions are unfounded.

He mentioned the "Task Force 373"; a US assassination squad in Afghanistan with a list of 2000 targets, without any judiciary oversight. These are not the type of info that bolsters the US claim of helping democracy in Afghanistan.

The media coverage is about what I would expect for this. @dejakhalz Technically, you can start your own internet, its called WAN. Any connection between two computers via network is imitating the internet. This "kill switch" would request ISPs to shut down servers that they allow to host through their connections. ISPs in Switzerland would be unaffected, only American hosted servers would be effected.
Granted this would severely limit the internet, but by definition you can "start" your own internet using the given protocols within your computer.

@Tzimnewman3 How does one "get facts" exactly....i would have thought the way he is carrying on: interferring with scandinavias technology/servers; telling the swedes to reform their rape law; causing trouble with "rape stunts" was enough to make anybody realise.

Facts are information which can be verified by other sources. I.e. the leak of the Afghan War files is verified by the US Government and the Pentagon who accuse Julian of causing a danger to US soldiers. If the files were fake then of course they would pose no danger to anyone and the Pentagon wouldn't want fake files returned.

So thus: Assange is interferring with scandinavian technology/defence systems/servers; telling the swedes to reform their rape laws; causing trouble with rape stunts- all by your interpretation of the definition of a fact.
The give away is the CIA could have said Assange was mentally ill or a fraud as they do with REAL political enemies, but they didnt.

As for his recently acquired power over sweden officials this has been gained in the same way he got Northern Rock to 'beg for his mercy' as he put it.
I suggest you check out the similar tones in his "Jackboots" article he wrote for the New York Observer yesterday.
He is a CIA "hole in the wall" operation, and they are getting everyone "On board" just in the same way "the Mafia" got Hoover on board.
I suggest you check out how they do it with technology.

He was chief of FBI. So prosecutions against the mob would never be pursued of course. In fact he was another one of these people who said there was no such thing as the mob. I believe Hoover was a closet homosexual which at that time was in fact a crime. Some photographs of Hoover with his partner were gained with a hidden camera with a fish-eyed lens. They blackmailed hoover for decades.This is why, in light of this fact, the chief of FBI can no longer fill the post for more than two terms.

In all of Hoovers time there were only 4 prosecutions against rackateers and 450 prosecutions against suspected "communists". Most of these communists were people involved in the labor/civil rights movements whose cause posed a threat to the mob.
