At 0:37, when Bert said that bananas are his favorite, it was a little confusing when he said that because, I thought oatmeal was his favorite food. (Probably if both oatmeal and bananas are Bert's favorite foods, I wonder if he eats oatmeal and puts little pieces of bananas inside his oatmeal for him to eat).

I also sometimes like to eat oatmeal and put little pieces of bananas with my oatmeal. Or I like putting raisins in my oatmeal or buying and eating oatmeal called "Raisins In Spice."

I used to have raisins in my oatmeal, but not anymore. I generally put bananas in it and then mix in brown sugar or cinnamon.

Plot holes do happen on Sesame Street. For example, in one early episode when Lefty sells Ernie an invisible ice cream cone, Ernie says he doesn't like chocolate, but he likes Tutti-Frutti-something. However, in another episode, Ernie loves chocolate ice cream so much that he eats his AND Bert's! And in another, Ernie wants a chocolate-strawberry-peach-van­illa-banana-pistachio-peppermi­nt-lemon-orange-butterscotch ice cream cone!

@Pocockable I remember all those skits. Ernie a lot of times says that he loves chocolate as his favorite thing to eat but in one skit, he said that carrots are the things he loves eating more which was a skit where he was snacking on two carrots and a plate of cookies. It was a skit where he tried to persuade Cookie Monster to eat a carrot. I guess the bedtime skit with Ernie and Bert where they sang what they like probably explains what Ernie and Bert's favorite things are.
