  • I have used EOTech for years and love it. It's been to Iraq and back, dropped and smashed, and it is still going strong. I use an Aimpoint at work and it is still a great sight. I recommend that someone tries both before they buy. Different strokes for different folks.

  • I run an Eotech 552, but i prefer a reflex sight.

  • I just watched your eotech vs aimpoint video. You said you dont like the trijicon because of the 4x only on some models. What do you think of the many illuminated reticle 1x-4x scopes available now. Burris, Nikon, Bushnel, Millet, all make very affordable ones. There are also some spendy ones out there too. Keep up the good work dude!

  • Im sure the EOTech sights are the shit, but there is no way im spending $500 on a holographic/red dot sight.

  • @kbent88

I have a friend right now who had the same mentality. Then we had the constant problem of always having to re-zero his optic. Unless you plan to stick to irons, cheaper alternatives (unless its vortex) will give you problems such as that.

  • have you had a chance to use any of browe products? their 4 X 32 is insane. the ceo of the company used to be the ceo of trijicon and left because he did not like where the company was going. if you get a chance check them out

  • Eotech Vs. Aimpoint sights: Quick Field opinion by TheMango121

    Acog:

No batteries, Bindon aiming concept, target identification, Magnification, built like a tank, headshots at 300 yards.

STILL WAITING ON THAT ACOG REVIEW!

  • @TheMango121 I dont know if we will see one, they are heavy, and the fixed magnification is not the most versatile they are INCREDIBLY expensive, i think nutn would prefer a traditional scope with adjustable magnification (like the illuminated 1.5-5 power leupold he runs in a few vids) over the acog.

  • Are aimpoints as expensive

  • @devildawg85matt yes, sometimes more expensive. Google is your friend.

  • Has anyone worked with / reviewed the Meprolight M21 or Mepro MOR?

  • C-more blows aimpoint away and EOtech just hands down blows aimpoint away. But then again if you like looking through a toilet paper roll with a red dot in it then go with aimpoint

  • @cutmonn I was actually ISSUED a C-more scope when I was in Iraq as a member of the 101st airborne. I loved the C-more when I zeroed it, it was a dream. I zeroed it in about 5 minutes and that was only because I was firing with the rest of the company who had to do the old walk down range. I Loved it, UNTIL, I got in country. About a month after firing it there were little black, "Flakes" that showed up in the foa. The more and more we shot it, the more and more I couldn't see.

  • @cutmonn The armor took mine and that was the end. A few more in the company had their cmores do the exact same thing. I was then given my ACOG back and was happy to see my old friend that has never let me down.

  • @cutmonn But, again, this was some scope version they came out with. That was back in 05 and 06.

  • I'd love an Aimpoint....but they won't sell to civilians. So had to go with EOTech. Still happy though.

  • I looked through an EOtech at a gunstore, reticle was just 1 big blur (i have astigmatism)

Aimpoint has a very crisp red dot and is superior to EOtech, they sell them at Cabela's and anyone can buy them

  • @ativan26 how is it superior you obviously have no idea what the reticle looks like thats why they don't allow people like you to fly plains you cant see holographic i honestly dont have any trouble seeing the reticles and i cant see how you would ever want a aim point the reticle for a eotech is very precise just certain people cant handle the laser

  • @Turbo91Bird what are you talking about?

  • @Turbo91Bird Umm did you only buy direct from the manufacturer? i can go to at least a dozen websites online that will sell you one on the spot...

  • why do i feel as if you are infront of a green screeen? my brain tells me thats not a real place

  • @heretic1915 Your brain is retarded.

  • Acogs are good if not the best but they're like 800-1,400 for a GOOD one. Eotech are a cheaper solution. Eotech with a 4x or 3x magnifier is a good way to go.

  • I dont believe it a nut in panties video that is less than 19 minutes and 43 seconds

  • aimpoint has a MORE PRECISE DOT??? Maybe you should learn how to read...the Eotech has the smallest MOA dot on the market...a ONE MOA dot as opposed to aimpoints 3-4 MOA dot...wtf!!???

  • @OKCtactical He's not talking about MOA or long range. He probably finds the outer circle on the EoTech more annoying so he calls Aimpoint precise.

  • Comment removed

  • So he nuts fancily ????? Lol. I think I'm leaning toward aimpoint.

  • trijicon reflex

  • I'm 99% sure that NutNFancy chose that holster rig he wears on his vest cause it looks cool and to most minds it may seem faster to draw. But in reality with gross motor skills in combat it's better to have that holster on your leg or hip because it's wasted and awkward movement to draw like him when every millisecond counts in combat. That system may get in the way when you have to transition from slinged rifle to vest holstered and you may even muzzle sweep a friendly. Not really practical :(

  • @IMFDB Check out his vid on chest mounted pistol and he will tell you the benefits himself.

  • This dude is a riot.

  • what gloves are those?

  • @laruepredatar556 Mechanix

  • @owzlafa

like in so many other videos, he reminds me of mickey mouse... btw, those ear-

    protectors should be black

  • all the branches of the us military use both aim points and eothech it depends on the unit witch one you use but most of the air force is aim point or at least in my experience it has been.

  • @fierwall5 "witch" ?? :) Im not a grammar/spelling nazi but thats funny.

  • I prefer Aimpoints too because I was trained look over the optic when I search for targets. Most people that are untrained of improperly trained like EoTechs because it gives them a wider view of the battlefield also called "having more situational awareness." An Aimpoint is like looking through a toilet paper roll that gives u tunnel vision that you need to know when to break. I'd personally recommend and EoTech to an amateur that likes the way the dot looks so cool.

  • @IMFDB well the reticle has a function beyond "looking cool"..it helps with windage, elevation and cqb roles..with mine, in CQB roles, i mean, 2 yards close, the six oclock line is dead on, and i can draw a smiley face on a paper target. then center is set at 50 yds, yada yada..the 3 and 9 oclocks are nice for running targets, rather than having to lead them, you can just place that reticle on them and let it rip..eotechs are great for actual combat situations..aimpoints=ok. i prefer eotech.

  • @turbofister5000 To me that circle obstructs my view for small targets especially at long ranges like 200 meters. EoTechs and Aimpoints are very good optics for CQB operations. But for the vast majority of general combat and the way I was trained, I'd go with Aimpoint for the good reticle, durability, and battery life.

  • @nutnfancy

    hahahahahaha

  • @owzlafa He reminds me of people who are passionate about their hobby

  • im really digging your plate carrier, i wanna do that with mine one day. Btw the Sig P226 is one of my favorite handguns besides the M1911.

  • @jamesrossmiksch He doesn't do airsoft, he's never done it. He is merely saying that Aimpoints have a less cluttered reticle. By the way, SOCOM only uses EOTech's because that's what they are issued, and one more thing, they are issued Aimpoints and Trijicons alongside the EOTech.

  • @TheJSVids I can't show you the video because I don't know all Nutn video's but he did talk about airsoft and paintball. If I recall correctly he did play and stopped for a reason I don't remember, sorry for telling you this one month after you posted the comment I just wanted to correct you.

  • @TheJSVids

    It depends on the mission.

  • @TheJSVids LOL? what kinda TNPer are you, he does do airsoft! he busted his knee and stopped a few years ago, but he was an avid airsofter and paintballer.

  • eotech is not american but russian army use too this optic

  • @TATARSTAN59500 That's strange, last time I checked Ann Arbor, Michigan was still part of the good 'ol United States of America. I'm pretty sure that would indeed make Eotech an American product. I've used Eotechs and Aimpoints and I have to say either one is better than iron sights, the Marine Corps issues us Eotechs, Aimpoints and ACOGs, just depends on the loadout for the job. Semper Fidelis.

  • @SnakeDr1977 no strange but russian fsb use this sight look video

  • OMG!! a nutnfancy video thats not 3 hours long..what the hell??

  • @nutnfancy ew.... lots of homosexual thoughts there :s

  • I like how my Eotech takes AA batteries and co-witnesses with Irons the back and front. I also don't agree with the Nutn as far as the accuracy of an Eotech. I have never been able to be as accurate and fast on target as I have with an Eotech. I would also like to add that the Eotech is a true halo so it's always on POI so in other words it's more accurate than any other red dot type out there including the Aimpoint. I love them both but prefer an Eotech.

  • @1lostinspace AA bats? sounds like a fake EO to me. Im not extremely knowlegable on optics, but i know most high end sights take hard-to -fing watch batteries. did you pay $500 or $50?

  • @MrClaysta lol this is great!

  • @MrClaysta the EOtech 512 takes AA's and its real just so you know

  • @SouthernSurvivalTX i know i spoke before i researched it, thanks for the correction.

  • @nutnfancy HAHHAHA I literally busted out laughing when i saw the top two comments lol. Best comeback ever. You are awseome Veri. That was classic :)

  • Yeah Aimpoints are pretty cool.

  • a video under 2 min....? we need more of these!

  • I have an Aimpoint P.R.O its great out to about 200 meters and for $400... love it!

  • Eotech's fog up, take more dot space up on the scope, and are heavier and have less battery life compared to Aimpoints.

  • @nutnfancy Oh,hi there!Just a quick question.Did he serve.I'm probably gonna get a reply from him though.

  • with the model in question i would rather choose mounting it out out of the box than having to spend more money on a mount, and when it comes to that id rather spend 50 on covers than 150+ on a mount imo

  • How could you even have time to pop up the button when you're getting shot at... LOL just kiddin.

  • I like the comp m4s

  • Please make all reviews this short...probably the most useful review I have seen from you

  • and im glad it worked for you. And the Marines get issued the Eotechs.

  • @owzlafa LMAO Veri. Seriously, could you be more insulting owzlafa? Go play with your cousin from Canada, gay or not. Personally I wouldn't mess with him regardless. He posts too many videos of good training for me to underestimate him on any level.

  • well the eotech has a greater field of view, is more rugged, and offers really the only true two eyes open view.

  • @fms66tank Which is why the Army issued me one with my M4. Oh wait... they issue the m68 CCO. As for having two eyes open while firing with the m68, it almost disappears from your field of vision. That's exactly what it is designed for. To be honest I've never really used an eotech, but I've shot with the m68 in field conditions for months on one good zero and one battery. It seems to work just fine to me.

  • A nuntnfancy video at under 2 mins!!!! Wow, I'm impressed. Brief and to the point... nice.

  • who cares about battery life. my eotech lasts up to 60 days. and about protecting the lense, eotech works like new even if its cracked

  • Two words: Trijicon ACOG!

    No Batteries needed, EVER

  • @chagasrod Dude, that was like 6 words. Learn to count.

  • @chagasrod acog also uses radiation... it can give u cancer dude.

  • @chagasrod What does the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists have to do with batteries?

  • @chagasrod Yes but its not the best CQB sight, even the low power ones arent the same as zero magnification

  • @chagasrod 12 years later, while you're crying, he'll have spent 10 dollars in batteries. There's always a trade off.

  • Comment removed

  • i got a cheap 511d1, it only has the dot as oppose to the classic eotech reticle.

  • It comes down to personal taste and what u r using the sight for. For plinking and farting around at the range, any cheap red dot will do. For competition or real world If not using a magnifier I like eotech. It takes a beating, batt life not as good as AP but I always change batteries before each mission anyway. I think that the AP works better with the magnifier than eotech. If you got the money tho get trijicon...

2nd Battalion, 75 Ranger Regiment. 2 tours Iraq, 3 tours Afghanistan.

  • I do not usually agree with this guy but in this case I have to agree with him. The Aimpoint is the sight you want if you plan on doing anything beyond going to the range. I had a friend take his AR and drop it right on top of his Aimpoint to prove a point. He said he would do the same with his Eotec but already made that 500 dollar mistake once. That sold me. Oh and the AIM point maintained zero by the way.

  • @Sleeper362 Check all the military reviews...aimpoints are great weapon sights but the majority of the guys i've seen in iraq/afghanistan go with the EOTech when not using the trijicon. Don't take the "beyond the range" advice from someone who has never been beyond the range.

  • @thornejc2388 Since several of my best friends are CAG fellas I take their advice very seriously. Remember, what the govt. issues you and what is best are usually two mutually exclusive items. Check out the Daniel Defense DDM4 torture test video and tell me that the Eotech can withstand HALF of what the T1 did on that rifle and you would be lying.

  • hey i have been watching your vids for a while now and would like to know what tac vest you have on in this video

  • is it normal for a red dot sight to not be crystal clear in sunshine.

i have one with one glass (so no scope). kinda call of duty style sight.

the normal dot is just to low brightness for me to use in sunshine.

i have different dot styles. i use a circle with an X inside. that more cleer in sunshine. is holographic sight more bright then red dot.

so is holographic sights better? my red dot is just so easy to quicly aim at a target at closer range.

so is red dot better for close range?

  • @EchoNatek The EOTech will allow you to acquire targets at probably the same if not a little faster rate than with the red dot (it sounds like you are talking about a Barska). As for the clarity of the reticle...you will never have a perfect reticle...EOTechs and Aimpoints are very sharp but are not perfect..nothing is. I own both...the EOTech is quicker and I use it anywhere from 15m to 300m. I love the Aimpoint (CompM4) but I keep the EOTech on my rifle

  • @thornejc2388 thanks for the reply.

yes i think it is a barska sight.

it is diffidently the red dot in the video to the right (Red Dot vs Holographic vs Iron sight - MW2)

does it has a benefit compered to others, or is it just a cheeper sight?

    thanks again.

  • @EchoNatek There are a lot of different "red dot" sights and I think there are a few different holographic sights (HWS) so the price and quality will vary depending on the brand. The biggest difference is between single and multiple lens optics. Multiple lenses reduced parralex meaning that the reticle does not have to be in the same position every to get an accurate point of aim. other factors are quality of materials/features. but a lot of it is relative to the shooter.

  • @EchoNatek I know it is kinda played out but it is true for the most part that you get what you pay for...EOTech, Aimpoint, Trijicon ACOG are the three that pretty much rule the tactical world right now but it is important to know what you are getting before you spend 500-1200 for an optic because all the reviews can never tell you what works best for you

  • To those with better experience, what does an expensive aimpoint or eotech offer that a cheapo electric dot site does not? Recently bought a Rock River AR, love it, and the cheapo BSA seems to work, atleast to 25 yards. Should I stick with a cheapo for short distances or save my money for something more expensive?

  • @mojothemigo the very big difference is durability. If you are range shooting, most any sight will work as long as the weapons recoil will not knock it off. If your optic is going on a "work" weapon, where lives count on it, then do not go cheap.

  • @mojothemigo Save your money. With more expensive red dots you get durability and the ability to bang it around and such. They also might have better parallax correction and battery life. You don't need that for pinking. AR Snobs will shun anything that isn't an Aimpoint or EOTech, but who cares what they say right? :)

  • i respect your opinion but viewers be aware go out and try for yourself eotech is extremly good

  • @sharpshooternick Both are exellent. The thing with aimpoints are that they are far more durable- just by design, not to mention the incredible battery life.

  • Hello. I just got a mini 14, and I am looking into the AIMPOINT 9000L 2x, and I want to ask, do you think 2x is too much for tactical use?

  • It's all personal preference, I change my Eotechs batteries once every six months and never had a problem. And for what its worth, you can't beat that 1 moa center dot in the Eotechs reticle.

  • Comment removed

  • Vary cool vid, but i love my EOTech. I bolted it on my AR-15 and it shoots vary nice. Next time ill do more research on aimpoint tho. Just my 2 cents.

  • where did you get the pistol holder

  • what a useless peace of gear. Iron sights or ACOG/RCO. everything else is a waste of your money. CCO is also just as worthless.

  • You said you are an Aimpoint fan when it comes to "electronic dot sights" and you were comparing it to an Eotech, but I thought Eotech wasn't an electronic dot sight? I thought it was a holographic sight, with technology that differs from standard electronic dot sights? Is this incorrect? Thanks :D

  • i think it was you, in one of your vids you put a air rifle scope on a 22, can you do that? or does it mess the scope up?

  • The batteries in my Eotech drain and go dead during storage, even with the unit off. Having never owned an Aimpoint, I would still have to agree with him.

  • @McGruff5150 Either remove the batteries or slip a thin piece of plastic over one end of the battery for storage.

    Just a thought.

  • @Philibus59 I'm sure that would work, but it shouldn't be necessary with a higher end optic like that. "Excuse me Mr. Burglar, please wait a minute while I put the batteries back in my sight."

  • So how much does the Aimpoint weigh with the mount? The caps for the Eotech are cheaper to buy than a mount for the Aimpoint, and I like how little the Eotech obscures your vision because the electronics/batteries are built into the mount instead of having them hanging off of the upper sides plus the mount. The newer style Eotechs also have the buttons moved to the side instead of the rear. Look at the new EXPS3 sights from Eotech. PM me for a demo

  • Review the Primary Arms Red dots!

  • The aimpoint doesn't have a more precise aiming dot, the EOTech is capable of 1 MOA with the center dot.

  • pleeeasssee tell me where u got that rig your wearing!!

  • I guarantee this guy gets free sh*t from Aimpoint.

  • guess what i can take a hammer to an eotech. what would happen if i did that to your pos

  • Anyone know where I can get a left handed holster for a vest

  • @86keen Blackhawk Serpa Left Carry and you can get them almost anywhere... of course it depends what gun you have....

  • Is aimpoint made in America?

  • @jetman1979 Swedish; although they have a US office, etc.. Perhaps they manufacture them here now as well. The US started using them (military) in '97. Google is your friend. ;)

  • @jetman1979 Aimpoint made in Sweden and Eotech made in USA.

  • I like the Eotech reticle, but i have to agree, a major point for me is buttoning up the lens, Aimpoint has the caps as standard, Eotech - nope.

  • @TheNOMISS Whats ironic is my Aimpoint for my next AR build comes with caps but no mount while my Eotech has a built in mount but no caps. Funny how each one comes with something the other one dont have lol. But I already installed flip up caps for my Eotech and am waiting for my Larue mount for my Aimpoint. :)

  • @LouieTactical The aimpoint comp m4 comes with a mount and caps...win win...i am an aimpoint fan as well

  • awesome vid!

  • Aimpoint seems more fitting to me in my opinion.

But no matter what Trijicon is #1

  • @LilATL94 I love Trijicon but man they cost enough to buy a new rifle lol. But my dream optic is the Elcan SpecterDR. Way to much as well.

  • little nicky

  • LOL The video froze to load at 0:11 for me and Nutn's expression was PRICELESS along with those ear muffs! That would make a great novelty photo for someone's desk XD We love you, Nutn!

  • @evilassaultweapon Hahahaha! One of those bobble-headed dolls. ;) -- Veri

  • @nutnfancy I'd buy one!!

  • PFFF forget electronic sights! Just cover your eyes with one hand and spray the gun with the other!

  • hey nutnfancy what vest do you have on in this video?

  • Can you do a the trijicon reflex 34. No batteries. weights as much as the eotech.

Yes it has a amber light. but it comes with polarized lens, so looking at snow or white backgrounds doesn't effect it like the hold reflex. Then again looking at the price of it why not save a little bit and get an acog.

  • U can always get a Trijicon Reflex sight! :P

  • If the SHTF you want an aimpoint with a battery that lasts 7 years, I've never replaced the battery on my Comp M2 and I've owned it for 9 years. The Eotech is great for SWAT teams or range work but you will have to carry extra batteries.

  • larry vickers prefers these over EOtech and so does Nut ..... well i know what im going to buy

  • this cant be nutn the vid is under 160 mins

  • I like how your Sig in on your chest LOL

  • Love the optics that you run. Your vids. are really helping me out on my red dot quest.:)

  • May I ask you what kind of vest it is that you have? I like how the handgun is mounted up high rather down low in the corner like most vest.

  • Very interesting datapoint. I personally went with the EOTech, but can appreciate the arguements Nutn makes for the Aimpoint. I do wish there was a better way to close up the EOTech when not in use. Both are great optics IMO.

Shooting at the farm in the snow...good times!!

  • @redchevymilt They are both great, i would trust my life to both.

  • shoot that fucking alien

  • i totally prefer EOthch sigths, its double dot sistem its just great, the big one for quick shots and the little dot for accurated fire.

  • Eotech 1moa, Aimpoint is 2moa. at 300 meters, it get hard to see the target with the aimpoint's 2moa. Haven't tried an eotech at 300 meters, but I can hit a 3x3 target at 100 yards with the eotech, I'm not sure with a aimpoint.

    we mostly prefer Eotech.

and I never understood the 40,000 hour battery life, we had batteries die on our CCOs ALLLL the time

  • Im not reading thru all of the posts here, but the Eotech has a more "precise" 1 MOA dot vs. the Aimpoints 2 or 4 MOA dot.

  • Aimpoint forever, Swedish precision!

  • I don't think any other is more precise. I have used both, and run a Eotech on my patrol rifle. You can change the brightness on both easily. But If you have the money, It don't get any better than a dual illumination ACOG. And does anybody know his back round, he seems to have done his homework. Just wondering if he has applied it in combat.

  • field... opinion? you have never been to the filed in your life...

  • You wanted to do a table top later because it looked like you were gonna' freeze to death!!! lol

  • test them both, and then use what works best for "YOU"! I personally like the Eotech, haven't had any battery issues as yet. Anyways keep shootin!

  • They are both too damn expensive. Vortex Strikefire and SPARC are less than half the price great quality and a lifetime warranty.

  • i like eotech . Because of damn chinese. I owned a real aimpoint and chinese replica they are about the same. all you paid is for the quality. For eotech no chinese replica can beat the real USA eotech. :D.

  • So whats nutnfancy mos?

  • What plate carrier is he wearing in this video?

  • question when u mount a eotech on the ar 15 is the iron sight going to get in the way when looking throught the sight . down the barrel,

  • i just got an eotech but iv been runnin a aimpoint comp-4 on my kit for a good while but so far iv never had a problem with my aimpoint, can you make a video doing a test deminstration of the two systems?

  • you REALLY are an ounz guy eh :-)

  • EOtech for cqb and aimpoint for everything else.

  • ooooo only 3 oz, i think i might die! thats like the third of the weight of a PENNY!

  • I have to agree with he aimpoint. We use them on our military issued m4 platform and that 2 MOA dot helps emmensly at poppin the hadji heads off at 200 yards or so :)

  • i am buying the comp m3 over the eotech 557 just because of this video.

  • Was that a fart I heard just as the video finished?

  • what the hell!! soz man but with this thing on your head you lokk like an alien

  • @96silentdeath LOL -- Veri

  • even though this guy probably knows alot more than i do, i like how the eotech sits alot lower that the aimpoint, plus with a magnifier flip to slip mount you get the best of both worlds, close up and zoomed in at a flick of a button

  • Mickey Mouse??
